The old nl5haze was killer the new release was rather disappointing had a mild lemony aroma but no way as good as before!!

That's my honest opinion

I hear there is a new company called AusCann. It's not entirely clear what role they are going to take in the soon to be emerging Australian legal cannabis industry but they do have the help of a certain world renowned cannabis breeder. Nigel I think it was. Well apparently something big is in the works. I wonder what strains they are working on.

first crop of nigel's haze is going to canada

Auscann just got approved again to grow on Norfolk Island. Unfortunatly the Aus government is not happy. They were granted a license last year, but the Aussie government revoked it. The are currently going over the current license, but Troy the owner reakons he has all the issues that caused the last license to be revoked covered. Mainly security issues, so they reakon. Nev is indeed there breeder. The license has been thus far granted to produce 1 line. I am unsure what strain. But i am thinking high Cbd. I think that is how they are getting approval by focusing on Cbd products, rather than Thc. I,m not sure of the exact measurements of the garden. But it,s a decent size. They will be exporting to the Canadian market. The guy running Auscann is Troy Langman. I have had a few meeting with him. He seems like a nice guy. I think he is more of a busines man. Anyway, take care...S

Ridiculous....growing pot on the other side of the planet to ship to Canada? Totally not economically feasible unless....the guvmint fix greases the wheel and actively helps to line this businesses pockets. Ha ha. Nigel might as well try to ship birds and blow to Columbia. Same logic.Nigels so well known for his CBD gear, ha.

All i,m really intrested in is what it means for Aus laws.
Hopefully it does some good!

Most likely a preemptive strike for the results of the trials now under way.

My cynical side speculates that the line the politicians will take from the reporting of results will be that herbal cannabis has no reliable and/or acceptable medical value. Only standardized CBD rich products should be made available and only under strict regulation for a limited range of illnesses.

The last thing they want is to put medicine into the hands of the general public at low cost and without governmental oversight.

There won't be a California model because governments have the ultimate say on what becomes medicine. They pay for it under the socialized model so they have the final decision.

Whats worse is that should my predictions be accurate then the police will go back to arresting people as usual and there won't be any scope for a medical defense.

Tasmania produces 50% of the worlds legal opiates.

Ironically they are the ones most against MMJ.

hi bud weiser, yeah. I would have to agree with what your saying. I am hoping it,s not so, but with the reality of things, unfortunatly, it most likely will be. It,s pretty clear the govenment is not intrested in following the californian model. I can,t see full plant products being introduced in aus, more likely some synthetic rubbish. I can,t see good things happening, but i can only hope, even though hope seems futile, peace guys

I really hope I am wrong too...

MMJ was always the wrong tactic. Decrim would have been much more useful. Remove criminal penalties and give the police the option of discretion. The ability for them to issue a fine, confiscate the weed or just give a warning would be a much better and broader option for all. Personally I have gotten out of traffic tickets just by treating the officer with respect and human decency. At the moment even if they personally believe that weed should be 100% legal their hands are tied. When they are in uniform they have to follow the law. Under decrim many would be satisfied just to give a warning rather than fill out the paperwork and go through the motions. Genuinely sick people would be able to explain to the cops that they have xxxx disease and hopefully they would say not to smoke/grow where others can see/smell. Even if the cop wanted to be a hard ass you could go and argue the case to a magistrate. Selling would remain an offense but you would have to be pretty silly or obvious to get done doing that. Large commercial grows would still be able to be dealt with and penalized by tax officials. It would keep out Monsanto and Phillip Morris too ;)

The only way to get the very best medicinal value is by growing sativa's outdoors in the right climate.
It will be much better than anything you can get indoors or from a greenhouse or Charlotte's Web.

I hope Shanti will try something outdoors too.

ha, I was thinking the same. SamS' take on it is good too...

Aloha & Sam sounds like he is getting bored with it all? I do not have that problem at NL as every batch of seed brings something new and interesting. My Guru was Luther Burbank and with my Marine mentality I will be breeding to make things a little better until the day I die. Breeders Forever & Forever Breeders.

Sometimes its hard to be stuck in Oz while the world increasingly embraces cannabis. It is shameful and I would like the rest of the world to give it to Aussie political paradigms...They sell our country and its freedoms daily with no justification. gonna be a shitfight.

Vinnno

*apologies for the ramble but it wearies me. I am not a criminal or a recluse. This country is about to change forever.

Aloha & George & Sam are incorrect. NL had nothing to do with California. And the Indian (Don Downes) was supplied with genetics by me including the NL#5 and the seed I propagated from the 4 seeds from Murphy.
