neville *Mango

Hi aktarus,

The Hazes are very elegant individuals. Pure sativas as you know…. Classy plants :)

As for what concerns the male, if he’s taking more time to form pollen sacks he’s leaning to the Haze side… good choice to make beans although you plan to do Neville’s Haze right after. You’ll save the seeds to distribute among friends as you will do again seeds with the Neville’s… and those with be real gems. With NH F2’s you will be able to unlock the Pure Haze secret :D

As for what concerns transplant, you want to give them time to build a real solid root mass before really budding. So I would transplant the most advanced ones into the 11 litter pots in a week or 2 (maximum). The sooner the better as some are already preparing themselves to bud. The hazy one can wait a little more if you want. The bigger the pot the more she will tend to grow. Anyway, it all depends if she’s already budding or still stretching. As soon as she buds, transplant…but carefully. We don’t want any stress delaying flowering ;)

You got yourself a hazy couple... and spring is coming :D

The boy is still starting to form pollen sacks, and throwing 5 bladed leaves.
You still have time to spare before pollinations… about 2 weeks or slightly more.
Not sure with that hybrid.

Judging by the other females you have, someone is going to have a lot of seeds at harvest ;)

Have a great day :)

Thank you Buddha ,
You are the one that is supporting me thats great :)

Big news today i bough a light rail !!!
my growing space is all lenght so its a good addition will save me buying a second light , i like the light rail already , will use only half rail for now now and then uppgrade to full rail after this crop !

hi Aktarus

great thread mate sorry i havent poped by sooner

but iv been watchin, great work mate:)

keep it up fella

herb

I was wondering , when i should stop foliar spraying ?
I think i should stop now with all the pistil iam getting .

The light rail work wonder, the price was high but its more cost effective at the end thant adding light . i hope the yeild will improve from it .
I had put more space between the plant and put them more evenly inside the tent so they get full aera now !!
The idea is they will fill the space nicely , bush style i hope and make even more bud and get some light at different angle too, more space per plant is better i think and the light will still go from one end to the other .

I made a pause about 10 sec with the light coming at the end of the rail to a stop ,i dont know how that timing setting is used and the effect .(it can go from 2 sec to 1 min.)

Did you notice in my last pic there is a flower growing in the middle of a leaf ;)

I also got myself a new greenpower HPS 400 as the old one broke when i was mouting the rail .

I think its a great uppgrade to my setup and i never grew so many girl with such good setup , well for me :p
Taking any advice to improve quality , yeild ,health.

Mns will be no point of retrun for me now , i'll stay with your strain Shanti , they are awsome .

New setup with old cooltube , because i was used to put the bulb so close to the plant with it ,its alot better in temp. and use less exhaust speed.

The rail is a top right position on this picture , stop for 10 sec.

I am getting some yellow lower leaf on one plant and also some curled down .
You can see it on the last picture its on the far right side .

Could be from N defiency , or overwatering ?
HR is 45% should i lower it ?

I have some showing purple stem too , N deficiency again ?

Today i mixed some half Vega nute and half flores nute to help them get healthy !

Some are very green compared to others but overall very good green IMHO.

Only the male is light green lime color but he look ok , gave hime more nute too .

Talk to me guys :D, you know iam alone with those crazy sativa's here , not easy for a beginner ,lot of pressure , they look scary and ready to explose at times !!

Hi aktarus

the yellowing(and the purpling) might be due to many reasons, maybe N deficiency . Also the cause of yellowing may be due to small pots is another possibility , or bit cold temps. What are your day and night temps?

Purple stems are usually signs of Phosphorus deficiency. Might be caused by overwatering.
Make sure the soil dries out completely before you water the plants again , try to make dry/wet cycles so lots of oxygen gets to the roots and they are not in a saturated medium.Learn to weigh the pots before n after watering , with experience you ll know when they need water this way and you wont overwater or underwater.

Leaf downcurl/clawing is usually due to N excess and/or low humidity and/or low light levels among others.I would suggest you increase humidity to 50-55%RH , but dont go over 55% during flowering.

Would it be possible to take some pics from the 'affected' plants with cam flash enabled (hps turned off) so we can see better how these look.

Btw some sativa phenos may be lighter in color due to genetics and the lime green may be normal , sativas are usually lime green unlike indicas which go dark green and are more shinny.

Here is a guide to sick plants , have a look:

Thank you for the many advice here Leet :)

I tought that having high HR would make the pant lazy in the root zone , having more wtaer from the leaf thats why i kept at 45%.

I will be repoting in 11L in a week or so ,it this help them flower better.

For the nute i use : CANNA bio flores and vega i feel like they are very light ,i was watering 2 time and 1 time nute maybe thats why plant are showing defiency .

The 2 or 3 yellowing leaf are not alarming me much and the purple branch either , i think its look so good with the dark green ;)

The male is very pale but i dont care much about him hehe.

BTW it wont be a full seed crop i hope , i would like to get max 15 seed per plant :)

This is my male , starting to grow some balls , finally :D

Lovely male you got there mate!

The purpling isn't necessarily a bad sign , many strains just have purpling stems by genetics , as long as everything else looks good , all is good.

Hey thank you :)
that male look good to me too i hope he is on the neville side , i like his leaf shape and bushiness ,he's a special one for sure hehe .

I know judging from picture is hard to tell , but how long before it pop some pollen ?

Hi aktarus,

Sorry for my delay, i’ve been without internet for 3 days :(

It has been a pleasure to help you riding this wild horse called Neville’s Haze x Mango so far :)

Seriously, I’m a proud member of MNS forums and consider them my home. Although not in condition of gardening at the time, It’s my responsibility to help any grower in need whatever the hybrid is, as some oldtimers did with me in the past. Obviously (as it can be easily noticed) I favour Haze hybrids but it could be anything, really. Gardening is fun and to educate / escort less experienced gardeners should be considered a privilege :D

Our mentor Shantibaba is back from his holydays but I feel he shouldn’t waste his time with things that members are perfectly capable of caring. Let’s allow him the time to develop hybrids for us instead of losing his patience educating growers. Although I must say members here are generally kind hearted. The feeling around these boards is something very special, something we should all care to preserve. And it can only be preserved nicely. Howard Marks, Neville and Shantibaba style ;)

Note: Now i'm going to dedicate my time to read your last posts and see if i got something to add.

well could be few days or a week or so till several male flowers open. Depends on how much light he gets and how fast male it is. Haze dominant plants may take a while compared to other strains but still judging from the pics I 'd say it wont take much time from now , 1-1.5 week max would be my guess.

Hi ,

How does the male flower work ? i mean the little ball open and pollen drop from it , or it open and then it look like a little flower and pollen is dropped after its fully opened ?

I will be repooting them girl in 11liter tomorow, so they will be happy for final flowering :)

Update again !
I finally decided sooner is better for final re poting , so they went in the nice 11liter today.

As you can see everything fit perfect 6 girlz one male and one humy3 hehe , no space wasted :D

hi mate

nice updates , look great in their new pots ,

Hi ,

Its like you said in your second assumption , the balls open first (actually the 5 sepals open) and then it looks like a little flower inside , consisting of 5 banana shaped petals , which then also open and pollen drops.
