GUANOIZDASHIZNIT, and BLB, as well as others...

This is most excellent news. I look forward to the release of this strain, and glad we have breeder that care truly about those in need, and are willing to work for medical strains. It seems to me there is a group concerned with medi users, and not the almighty dollar. I can't wait to see some of these grows, and how the medicine is recieved. Waiting patiently as I tap my foot...lol Goodday all...Ns

GUANOIZDASHIZNIT - " I need a strain that can give me a narcotic analgesic feeling for seizure prevention and migranes."

Will the high CBD varieties your CBD crew is working on offer the "narcotic" feeling Shanti? I thought the focus of the CBD thing was to find/select within varieties to find a much more "functional" type of medicine. Low THC high CBD? That way inexperienced users don't "freak out" when they partake.

Very curious about this subject, I too have muscle, nerve, and back issues. Maybe someone should start an old bugger thread so we all can moan and groan about all those years of bending and crawling and reaching and lifting. Sorry I will save that for a bugger thread.

Sorry to hear about your back issues noshow. Be thankful that you are getting treated (no matter how primitive the solution) I had to fight with doctors for two years before they verified my issues with a full MRI. Doctors would poke me with their fingers lift my arms ask me if this hurt or that...then they ALL would just give me pills.

How about a description of my injury.? Where am I hurt, even though poking me does invoke a response and gives the Dr a feeling of accomplishment, isn't there are better way of finding out specifically what is wrong with me. I'm almost positive the fingertip is not the best way to diagnose subluxations/hernias etc. Just my opinion.

Noshow, I hope you find the path to recovery is short. Yoga seems to help me find some rest and comfort. Focusing on breathing provides a distraction for me when I get those shooting pains out of nowhere, and my neck feels like it's twisting itself into a pretzel.

HopeYouHaveARapid&FullRecovery,

Hi friend,

No matter your neck/back. Whatever it is, and how serious it is. It is not fun. I have recently made a new friend that has opened a new perspective for my thinking about pain, and life. If he wants to chime in here. I will pm him, and ask him to tell his story. Frankly it to me would make us all seem like whiney lil old buggers...lol, and the most amazing part to me. Is how well of an attitude he keeps.

Kyle I am greatful that I am being treated, but I feel like a lame duck brother. I am afraid tolose my job. Yet I am even at the point I stand to lose more in life. I wish to not discuss, because of the personal nature. Yet leave it at this ok...Now another story...

My dumbass<<<Yeah noshow just called himself a dumbass...Hahaha

noshow just a month out of surgery thought it ok tograb a basketball. Tried to take a shot. Wha an idiot...Never will I try that. Well hopefully I'll recover enough to one day, but man did I make a mistake. I am suffering for it now. Medicated I feel like I am just out of surgery with the pain issues...Ns<<Dummy...

It took me awhile to get caught up.

First, you humble me with the intro my friend. My problems are no larger than any here.
I guess this is gonna be where I introduce myself.
Hello good peeps, I've been lurking for quite a while. I'm 50 years old so that old bugger comment made me laugh nevil. I really am an old mountainman, right down to the braids. I'm a c4 quadriplegic, results of a car wreck 18 years ago. I broke 2 vertibrae and shattered a third. Had a piece of pelvis fused in to hold me together. I deal with severe spasms, which I have a couple scripts of muscle relaxers for. And also a docs recomendation for med mj, as I live in a med state. I went to the doctor in july for a new wheel chair, any way long story shortened they discovered after many mri's and cat scans that I have a cyste in my spinal cord where I broke it yrs ago. It causes the spinal fluid to back up into my brainstem causing headaches. Up til now I've used mj and tincture, alongside some hydracodone. Just recently got put on methadone and oxycodone. Enough whining, I'm not looking for sympathy guys. I have a terrific wife and family. I'm lucky, we get to take care of our grandkids while our daughter works and goes to college.
I've been a rec user since 13 and I've been growing my own meds for 15 years, as it works better on my spasms than any muscle relaxers. We grew in soil since starting and also have used coir for the last couple years. We veg with a 1k metal halide and bud with 2 1k's, both mh and hps.
I've been holding off on pming shanti for his list til I can afford it. Only about another month and I'll be hitting you up for your list, I can't wait to run a few of your strains shanti and nevil.
If there's ever anything I can do for any one here, just hit me up. I'd like to be an upstanding contributing member of your community here.
Thanks to you all.

humbled

All friends here reading this thread....

See exactly what I said. Very humled by someone that comes in with a superior attitude. I can say also the same thing that family has made a big deal for me also. As well as meeting people here like mtman, and many others. Please if I've forgot your name. Don't be upset. I have made many good friends here. Yet I feel quite humbled by someone who comes in with what I would call serious issues, and is able to keep such a awesome attitude.

Mtman glad to have you here. There are many great people here. If I had not mentioned check the strainbase section, and look at Billy Liars NL5 x afghan and critical skunk thread. Specifically see what he says about the NL5 x afghan. I believe it is on the second page of the thread. Cheers, and am glad your here. Have a great day, and enjoy the family. Eventhough I am relativly young myself. I am looking forward to the day I have grandkids...Ns

Well It's Official- Glucosamine Sulphate & Chondrotin

Have Been Found To Have ZERO Benefits In Easing Osteoarthritis
When Taking Codeine Based Medicines ; ( Dihydrocodeine Is Far Safer Than Co Codamol , A Mixture Of Paracetemol And Codeine Phosphate)
Paracetemol ( Tylenol) Is Bad For The Liver And Is The Most Common Cause Of Overdose Admissions In The U.K:eek:

Take Care

Hi Joe

Joe,

Hoping this finds you well friend. So with Tylenol, and the issues with the liver. Is it safe to assume that the opiates that have acetometaphin in them will be damaging to the liver also? Say such as hydrocodone aka lortab etc...Ns

Yo noshow!,

I'am definitely sympathetic to your position. Sucks when the things you take for granted, like lifting a freaking garbage bag or moving a chair or shooting a shot becomes a difficult chore. I never had a good jumper though more of an inside guy myself.

Just wanted to say that I did not mean to make light of your difficulties and you have my sympathy. I hope you can maintain your current job or even find a better one.

I used to help put those big video screens up at concerts before I got hurt. I was really sad at first because I lost my job immediately (it's hard to be useful backstage when you are gimp, those cables are REAL heavy) but found my place soon thereafter helping others with their medical needs.

I think helping people help themselves has made me much happier then going to one free concert after the next, even if I was really sad at first. My point is this hurting your back and being limited on what your body can do may actually broaden your scope and increase the things your mind and spirit are capable of doing. So it's good to no longer be able to go backstage, I'm losing my hearing fast enough as it is, old bugger. 8)
Later Bro,

Nope. I am not a medical user. I just like the thought of shanti and the CBD crew working strains primarily aimed at people who need it..

Stay Cool,
Doobz

hey all

Doobz I stand corrected friend. Whatever the reason you use herb for. It is all good friend...

Kyle No worries friend. I know what you mean. I hope I can get back to work, but I don't think I will. I am getting better, but some serious issues still are persisting. I feel that there is still something quite wrong, but don't know what. It is mostly my back obvious, and hip area.

One thing I have seen a good thing come out of this is that I have been able to stay home more with my youngest son. I have been working with him on his school work pre-k stuff, and speech. There is a great improvemnet. So I can see what you say. What has happened is not good to my body, but it has opened many more doors. I have made many friends here that I am happey for. Then with my son. I have I feel been able to help him quite abit. Have a good one brother, and stay away from the basketballs...They can be killer...lol...Ns

well my friend.. there are alot of people in this world who are very quick to take your money without putting any thought into what they are doing. all they see is Ca$h..

I see myself a bit similar to Shanti in a way. Shanti could easily just churn out seeds like there is no tomorrow and rake in the cash but he has stayed grounded..

Myself? I could be growing on a commercial scale and selling my harvests and raking in the cash. Many a time I have been asked to setup commercial grows and just walked away. I am not greedy. I enjoy growing more as a hobby. Its therapeutic and I love to smoke a bit too. What am I going to do with shit loads of money anyway? Its not like its going to buy me happiness when I know there are others who are unfortunate in this world who don't even have a glass of water a day between a family.

Anyways mate.. I am really exited to see what Shantibaba and the CBD crew are working up for medicinal users.. I really am.. If I could share the pain that someone was feeling I would.. If I could help alleviate the pain in some way I would too..

You stay cool now..
Doobz

Hi Doobz...

Hey Doobz,

Man I can't even begin to say how cool that is. I can definatly appreciate someone with the attitude you have. Too many shitheads in the business.
Well I can say this. i don't, nor would I want you., or anyone to have, or share this pain. I thank you for the kind words, and you feelings. Yet that is not what I want someone to feel. There is something you can do though if you want. Grow the hell out of this herb. Even if you don't sell it. Just grow the hell out of it, and smoke it. If you do already that is great. Just keep it up. We get enough people to do that. There will be a point that governement can't fight the numbers we'd possess. As for SHanti...That man had not only my business, but friendship long ago. He is a great leader, and breeder...What he is doing for the med community set's him apart. To say impressed I'd be is the least I can say. I feel a THNAK YOU is almost not enough, but I am very Thankfull...So Doobz I appreciate the kindness, and your views. Hope you stay around, and we can chat more. There is many great people here, and I hope more will chat with you. Have a great day...Ns

tyou GB

GB,

The term is if spelled right. Acetomenaphin...I am sure spelled wrong. We have spoken much, and I can't even begin to tell you how I feel. I am sorry your family. Specifically your dad has to go thru this crap. I am as we would say medicated right now heavy, and it really doesn't do a whole lot. I hope your well, and we will chat more about this. Give my best regards to your family, and hug your dad. He is proud to have you as a son...Ns

No sleep for noshow

Hi all,

Whatever it is I did. I don't know, but no sleep. It is better, but yesterday morning I woke up with a lump on my back above my surgical scar. It was about the size of a golfball. It is still there, but not as large. Quite alot of pain, and sleep doesn't seem close. I hope you all rest, and be safe friends...Ns

Noshow signing out for the night...Ns

headache from hell

Hi All,

It has been a couple years since I have had one this bad, but I had a headache from hell as I call it. It didn't go quite as far as normal where I feel ill ready to vomit, and can't stand anything around me, but it was close to that. Every move I made, and thought made me feel like I needed to rush into the bathroom. I just about brokedown last night, and asked the wife to take me to the hospital. Yet I am a fool in a way when ill. I hate hospitals, and have had enough of them lately. Besides all they do around here is shoot you full of a heavy narcotic. Usually demerol, and an anit-nausea drug so you don't barf all over them. <<<Hahaha had to use the word barf. Feel like a youngin again...lol<<<

Now I now from talking to Nevil he has this issue, and his seems much worse than mine. At least these come, and go for me. I know it was spinal related though. As I could feel the disc bulging, or pushing into the back of my neck area as it has in the past. As I was going thru this. I thought of him, and how he must feel, and others who go thru this much worse. I'm still hurtin but not near as bad, and I feel blessed to be alert enough to type. I hope your all well, and be safe friends...Ns

I thought that I would like to type a few words about my issues, while I wait for the Codiene to kick in (if it does). It's the lower back today. A spondylosis of the lower back and a slipped disk at L5/S1 coupled with a few degenerated disks causes pretty severe pain. I've seen a specialist who wanted to operate. In order to see if the operation had a chance of success he advised a series of injections. A guided nerve sleeve injection with steroids ( something like that). I had the first injections a few weeks back. For a week it simply made things worse, so much so, that I thought, I'm not doing that again.
Afterwards things seemed slightly better, but the difference didn't seem to justify that week of extra pain. My body was screaming at me, don't let them do this to you. I decided to listen. I wasn't keen on letting them fuse my spine anyway. Most people who have had the operation seem to regret it. I've asked a few doctors if they could put me in touch with someone who has had the operation who is glad they had it. There is never a positive response. My condition is not uncommon. Has anyone any thoughts on this?
N.

Hi Neville,
Unfortunately I can feel your pain. I have had two back surgeries in the last 2 years.
I have numerous degenerated disks in my lower back from years of sports activities. (I used to race boardercross (snowboards) for 10 years, got to travel the world). The constant compression and decompression of my spine caused the disks to wither.
In Aug. 2008 I had a disk herniate (bulge) at L4/L5. The bulge was pushing into my spinal chord, causing sciatic nerve pain, and ultimately permanent damage. My lower left leg is constantly numb, as if your leg/foot "fell asleep". In Jan. of 2009, I had my first surgery, a simple lapendectomy (??) to remove the bulge on the disk (it was 15 mm). After 2 months of recovery, I was starting to feel better. However, after 4 months, I felt worse, and it was progressing daily. I continued physical therapy, but that only compounded the problem.
The problem was between the degenerative disks and what they removed, I no longer had any cushion between the vertebrae. My spinal column was literally crushing itself, and you could see stress fractures in the MRI's they had done.
Not wanting to have a 2nd surgery or my spine fused, I continued with physical therapy as long as possible, hoping strengthened muscles would compensate for the lack of disk.
By March of this year, I gave up. I was barely able to walk, and when I did I looked like an 80 year old man or a knuckle dragging neanderthal. LOL
I had the fusion in April. 3 levels. L4-S1. I was walking (upright I might add!) within 12 hours of surgery, with assistance.
I am currently about 70-75% back to "normal". But, I will be able to go snowboarding, surfing etc. this year. While I don't anticipate 100% recovery, (left leg numb, loss of agility and flexibility etc.) I do expect to be able to live my life comfortably and without pain.

(Que intro dialog to the Bionic Man) "We can rebuild him, make him stronger, faster..."
