Thanks, Mr. Brown. Much appreciated. Very impressive, indeed. He's a great find. Hopefully he produces some impressive offspring. Since I'm unfamiliar with algae lime, I did a quick online search and got this description of it:
"Algae lime is
produced from deposits of red algae. It mainly contains calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, silicic acid, as well as a variety of trace elements like boron and iodine."
Very interesting. I asked because I need to make some changes as none of the flower cuts from my #1 dude produced any pollen for me. I just placed them in unaerated water, witwout any additives. There was zero development in the flowers and after a few weeks, the water went bad and they all died.
I literally had a couple dozen of them. You'd think
at least one would have produced some male magic for me, but nothing, sadly.
In hindsight, I would do several things differently next time. It was a learning experience, for me, in more ways than one.
If it wasn't for one of the tiny, barely rooted cuts from him, that bloomed when least expected, I wouldn't have had anything for seed production.
