Hi all 
Last night was the first hard frost of the season, though the weather has been pretty severe over the last month. Harvest time for the haze girls is in the very imminent future, Ive actually been smoking early dried samples of a previously harvested SSH x MH and its very nice. Though its been tough picking between it and the selected GFCS pheno I grew this season which is head and shoulders better than some of her sisters. Final pictures soon.

Below we are somewhere between 75-80 days from the onset of flowering.

yes, they are decent buds....
BUT...
Mango Haze is rated a 5 Howards out of 5 (Holy Grail) for yield.
Do you think that your results are really a 'holy grail' for yield?
(I wouldn't normally comment but Rows seems to think your results are 'inspirational' and, well, if you post photos of your grow to a public forum you have to accept the criticism with the props - albeit a very SLIGHT criticism!)
The thing with Mango Haze, as I said, is that it is supposed to be a HOLY GRAIL plant for yields and ALL of the MH grows I have seen posted are great but - well - skimpy!! I wouldn't normally even care but other growers are commenting about how wonderful these grows are when, clearly, they are not representative of the full potential of the Mango Haze......it is obviously a VERY hard plant to grow and get right.
Having said that....the thing with growing is that for most people, ANY positive results are good results and are to be congratulated. If the plant in question is a bugger, like the MH, all the more reason for cheer, so well done Jesse.

This is Big Head Mumma ( a Mango Haze Sativa Pheno).
She is not perfect - I had a few slight problems with temps and one or two small other things. Also, although I REALLY held back on the Nitrogen, I still noticed a very slight reaction to over Nitrogen fertilisation (slightly darker leaves. Ever so slight down curl on the bud leaves (Ram's Horns.)) The more indica phenos were fine but these Hazey phenos seem to really hate N. In fact I stopped with the N altogether at about week 7 (and only gave a half dose at week 6) and STILL saw slight reactions. As well as this, she only had the Molasses towards the end of her cycle instead of throughout (I just couldn't get clean enough stuff until my 'source' came through with some superb sample grade stuff - you REALLY have to watch the sulphur content when using molasses - my stuff comes with a full chemical analysis as my friend works in a food lab!)
Added to this, I harvested her at least a week early (external considerations)
Next time I will be much more dialled in with this baby. I expect a much better yield from the next attempt.....
The top cola here is actually about the size of a child's head (hence Big Head Mumma) the satellite buds are so big (a palmful per bud) that they make the cola seem smaller than it really is!

Thanks for stopping in. This thread is actually the culmination of two seasons worth of grows with MNS F1 Mango Haze and Super Silver Haze, and of course the hybrids I made between the two. These plants were grown outside, and later in (3) make shift green houses (Hobo green houses) grown at approximately 40 degree's N on the East Coast of the United States.
The unpredictable nature of the fall weather, with drastic temperature swings from mid September on through the harvest time which thus far has ranged from mid-late October - early November really isnt condusive weather to grow haze hybrids of this nature. But the line is so superior in quality, that I choose to work with it even in such inhospitable conditions for such a variety because she is my favorite line from the MNS line up along with Super Silver Haze.
The particular plant above you see was pushing eight feet, and was cramed inside my smaller, second attempt at building a green house this season and thus real good shots of her were hard to come by. But she yielded fairly well, all things considered. There was some loss from mold this season, as with last actually, because growing outdoors is hardly a controlled environment such as what one would expect with your typical indoor garden.
These plants are not nearly the pennicle of MNS Haze hybrids, but only serve as a mere jester in the court of the queen that is F1 Mango Haze. She is definitely among the finest varieties available on the market today, so good in fact I choose to work with it when my time would probably be better suited with much quicker, faster yielding Indica lines. Which I also worked with this season as well, as a matter of fact. But if you dont have some haze for the holidays, things just dont seem the same. Below are some of my favorite pictures from this past season, these were taken in late September (Sept 24) before they were ultimately moved into the first green house I built this season.
