Shit, JessE - they look awesome - and outdoor, too. Forget green fingers - you must have sticky brown fingers!

As an outdoor UK grower (amongst other styles, ahem) I am most jealous.

I really really hope you harvest those babies in a perfect condition.Good Luck

Yep...Once again JessE, looking really NICE! Those SSH x MH buds are starting to really fatten up.:D

Hey rose and cola :)
You guys are much too kind, thank you for stopping in and checking out my girls this season. Below are some recent updates to share with everyone, so far so good even though the season is winding down and they are just now gearing up to play ball.

Hi all,
Well not so good news to report, heavy storms two nights in a row were enough to lay my girls down. Splitting the stalk on one, not good.

Having virtually nothing on me to fix the problem, I pulled a Macguyver and used the carrying string from my camera to tie the plants up to a stake I miraculously had laying around for months in a bush near by. I think it will be okay, then again maybe it wont. But they are weed plants and have proved quite vigilant in the past. Another plant wasnt damaged physically, but the weight of the water layed it over. Luckily I had some excess string laying around which I had used to mark branches which I had selectively pollinated. I used it too anchor the plant back into an upright position.

It could be worse.

Hi all,
Ive managed to avoid disaster at this point I believe, the actual fall season has came maybe a couple weeks earlier this year than last however. Luckily today was fairly calm, although cold, compared to the last few days which were quite windy and miserable. I last visited the girls yesterday, all systems go from last intelligence. We're on track to have the plants in the green house at the same time they were last year. So barring some unforseen event, hopefully these girls make it till the end of the season.

Two of the girls (my best plants) required extensive tieing up in order to keep them off the ground, but with extremely minimal loss everything is moving along. The stalk that split has been bound together, luckily we're dealing with a plant that is renowned for its resillience and tough fiberous material. When you spend all season with your girls, anything that goes wrong is quite the blow to you personally as the cultivator.

Hopefully Ive got some updates to show everybody in the coming weeks, so stayed tuned for the final run to harvest. The green house is 1/3 of the way completed, coming along much quicker than last year with a few lessons learned from the first build paying off this season.

nice work, they are looking great
i know how you feel when you say if something goes wrong its a blow to you as the cultivator my thoughts exactly
good luck with the building of the greenhouse
stay safe

Hi all,
Thanks for stopping in Shaun :) Ive managed to get the frame of the green house put together today, its not easy building anything of this nature by yourself. Ive had to think of clever ways to prop 2 x 4's up, holding them in place etc while I screw or nail them into position. Its been interesting and even a little painful at times, but we're moving along.

I purchased the plastic sheeting earlier, along with staples it was a $30 investment. Not bad when you consider the possible return from keeping your prized ladys in a green house for a month or more to finish out the season. The lumber has all been salvaged from last season, somehow I lost a board or two along the way though lol. I noticed the Gs are really starting to fatten up now. Nothing to write home about yet, but the difference is noticable.

If Jack Frost dont ruin everything over night, we should be moving directly down the path that leads to harvest.

Chhers mate

Gm :)
Good to see you stop in my friend, I trust everything is well with you mate?

The green house is up and operational, it took quite a bit of work with the hardest part actually being the process of getting the plants inside the gh to begin with. The planters themselves, some of them must way 75 pounds easily lol. And where I put my gh is nowhere near where my main plot was this season, so you can imagine the kind of work it took to get everybody moved in. The plants have seen better days aesthetically (the storms took their upright standing positioning from them unfortunately), but as long as they're continuing to put on the weight I dont care what they look like. Daddy loves them just the same lol.

Hey JessE

Hope all is well with you man . Nice to hear the gh is ready , well done taking the ladies inside , that should let em finish nicely with no compromise. Btw what are the day/night temps in your area at this point?

Regarding storms and bad weather, well here the Fall season started early on as well and the end of Summer and Fall was quite cold compared to previous years but I hope Oct will have plenty of sunshine and will allow for the plans to finish. The strong winds and storms we had here in early Sept lied some of the ladies down and it was funny cause these were all 12footers. None died though just started shooting growth upwards again but there was some mold found inside the buds of the most compact buds from the fastest plant. Seems multi-topping helped a lot keeping idividual bud size small.
Most of the lines we have here are still in mid-flowering apart from 3 faster ones that are almost ready. The slowest plants are the the Neville's Haze x Mango and the 303 x Bahia but considering the genetics hope these will be able to take well the rainy cold November temps as these will be probably be harvested during the first weeks of Nov if all goes well.

Wish you luck with the rest of the grow and looking forward to the next updates

Hi l33t,
So far so good, I just got back from giving them a close inspection. Something which I havent did in recent days, as I had been rushing to get them all inside before the weather ruined everything. A wise decision.

The girls look good, one plant in particular is making me feel like all of the hard work is going to be worth it. As long as I get her in the bag, a SSH x MH, Ill be a happy camper. And Ive got 5 others lol. Its getting cold outside, with the temperatures dipping into the low 50's here at night. During the day we're averaging right around the mid 70s. During this time of the year, we can have sterling weather one day and miserable weather the next. The greenhouse is absolutely necassary for anything like im growing at this point in the season. Below are some updates from just a few minutes ago, more to come in the upcoming days and weeks.

Hi all,
Its kind of cramped in the green house to get meaningful shots, especially when the plants need to be assisted just to stay in anything resembling an upright position but Ill manage. One of my big haze girls (despite being the earliest to sex) is probably a week or two behind behind another I have which I feel is quite promising :D. If it wasnt for the fact this is all highly illegal, I wouldnt be in such a hurry to have them finish up.

I need a variety as special as Mango Haze that finishes mid September, when I find her Ill be sure to let everybody know lol. Until proven otherwise, Mango Haze is probably the finest cannabis Ive seen from seed form to date. You dont have to search through big numbers to find a nice girl, although if you do Im positive you will be rewarded for your efforts. That to me is the sign of a superior line of cannabis, I dont want to wade through mediocrity in order to find a winner when Im paying big bucks for genetics. And believe me, I have in the past several times. So that is one of the appeals of Mango Haze and Super Silver Haze, these lines are without question on another level above others.

As some of you may know, the finest cannabis Ive ever smoked was a mystery variety that arrived in my possession known as 'Afghani.' This shit was dynamite, TNT, rock your foundations and leave you stuttering stupid marijuana. One hit wonder, stick your finger in an electrical socket kind of potent. It was real spicey tasting too, after weeding through so many varieties from Holland Ive yet to find anything equivalent. But Ive seen at least one variety that came close, which was a White Widow variety though.

My 1b all time powerful cannabis experience was again from White Widow, although like the above strain it arrived to me via commercial routes and its origins to this day remain a mystery. But it was equally as potent as the Afghani, only the cat piss like taste it carried with it put it just a notch below the more exotic Afghani.

Another one of the best varieties Ive ever seen was again something that arrived via commercial route, ie I met somebody who had a brother who dropped out of Engineering school to grow this line. It was called Hindu Kush, and it was very, very special. It wasnt some beat you senseless stone like the White Widow or Afghani above, it had a very surreal high too it and it tasted very oriental. An incredible line of cannabis, one which I would make room for in my grow room any day.

The only line of marijuana Ive found that rivals that Hindu Kush is the MNS Mango Haze. Completely different varietys, different spectrums of the gene pool but the special qualities of both are in the same league. Amazing.
