Pffffttt as a respected member here says!! Yo, we ARE close. If you find my plants, c'mon bro, tryin to pay off credit cards... used um to live, not for big screens and subs for the whip (early 90's jap sedan w/bad paint..). LOL

What do the stems smell like if MOLESTED, cause that's what I'd do if I found them. LOL, if I could, I'd water em fer ya!!

They look beautiful, and those MH x ???'s are going to be worthwhile for a long time. I hope to have a taste of the summer of '08 going in my garden until it get's forced out...

Hey folks,
Well upon reading barletta's question, that gave me an excuse to go run out to the plot this evening and come back with a fresh report on exactly what the stalks smell like once disturbed. The Mango Haze that hasnt sexed yet smells like a dull lemon scent, with a noticable amount of stickyness involved upon rubbing your fingers together. The female Mango Haze is even more fainter of lemon, almost medicinal in its odor once the stalk is rubbed that reminds me more of a lemony cough syrup odor. Strange I know, I checked it 4-5 times while I was there to make sure I wasnt tripping. I wouldnt call it pleasant, but atleast there are some lemony undertones to it.

Here is a plant that Ive mentioned a few times now, but have yet to post a picture of. This is a female MNS SSH, who has indeed been pollinated by the Mango Haze male I was lucky enough to run acrossed this year. This gal sexed a day after my first Mango Widow female showed up, and shes been a very dilligant gal, minding her own business and handling herself with class.

Hi Jesse

I am quite familiar with the smell you describe from the female mango's stalks . I belive it comes from the SK side of things .

Seems a very nice plant indeed , I m certain her seeds will be some excellent genetics .

Update

Hey folks :)
Earlier in the thread I mentioned some Afghani Skunk x Afghani Haze seeds I had gifted a fellow grower this season and had promised pictures when possible. The plant is well over 6 feet tall, and was told this has been one of the finer plants aesthetically this grower has had the chance to grow in some time. I was unable to get any close ups, but was told the plant has sexed and is a female.

Better & Better^^^^^^^^Love that pic

Man your plants look sooooooo fine & Extra healthy man, your camera skills are second to none bro :)

peace :)

Love it J. You get that extra 2-3 wks, judging by your cover foliage. It's funny, last summer I was ~50 miles away (same lattitude/altitude), and went to ~Oct 15 for some sweet haze and Strawberry cough (10wk strains). I was able to let a cannaloupe (indoors 8wks!) go to Nov1. That place had a 'pull by' date ~oct 20. I'm ~Oct 10ish now. It looks like you finish up end of Oct, into Nov in the exceptional years.

LOL, I bet you wish for 2 MORE wks, and dudes in cali wanna grow some jungili shit...:) They look great, Bro.:) :)

Morning all,
The plants are doing fine, its been very hot the last few weeks overall and Ive had to step up the watering quite a bit to keep up with their needs. But other than alot of stretching and squating in yoga like positions to collect water from the fountain of life no complaints :D One of the Mango Hazes is now just over 7 feet tall, and starting to look quite hardy overall. Some wind and a few drops of rain kicked up from the hurricane a few days ago now and knocked one of the MH girls over, but it hardly even phased the plant. They are both quite large now, but we got still have some growing to do :)

Jesse, your plants look great man! Nice and healthy. 7'+ already? That is gonna be a hell of a payload if that thing gets to go the full cycle. Can't wait to see pics of that in bloom~

Hi Ronin,
Thanks for stopping in mate. All credit for how the plants look should be given to the genetics, as Ive did nothing but plant the seed :) Below is a Mango Widow female, she has really grown in the last couple of weeks and is just over the five foot mark herself. The Mango Widow is a superb plant too work with, and one of the few varietys that have struck me as well above average.
