Hey folks
You know, honestly Ive got nothing negative to say about these plants at all. No complaints. Theyve grown like I expect top dollar seeds to grow, and its been an enjoyable experience from the beginning with these beans. Today I gave them a plain jane watering with water gathered from a fresh running source, something which I always prefer to use if at all possible.

Here is a small update from earlier today.

Morning folks :)

The Mango Hazes are holding their own, they seem to grow for the heavens.

Here one of them is at dusk, shortly after a 15-30-15 feeding.

August233.jpg

As for my feeding schedule, these plants are being fed at full strength every two to three days and have been so for a little over 5 weeks now barring short intervals of plane jane water feedings and ofcourse the semi regular rain showers this year(once a week on average sometimes more). Originally, a 24-18-6 all purpose fertilizer was being used, but yesterday marked the introduction of a new era :D Not too bad for test germ beans if you ask me.

More to come.

Hey folks, thank you all for your comments and participation.

Well here is the male I refer too as Rasputten, so far he is the earliest flowerer out of the entire lot this year.

Yes, he still smells really bad. Peeeyyyouuu :D I may give him a smoke test later in the season to determine what if anything he has to offer.

One of the Mango Hazes is now tall enough that the vantage point I had been using to take frontal pictures is now longer good enough to include the plant in its entirity. No exact measurements as of yet, but definitely at or over the 6 foot mark now. With some good sized fan leaves developing as well on all of the plants.

Im considering any number of different organic fertilizers this season, which will be supplemented along with non organic fertilizers as well before the ultimate flush begins. Ive been a believer in the Mango Haze since my first run with them 6 years ago now. Absolutely fantastic marijuana. I believe the story went something to the effect that the Mango Haze was Shanti's personal favorite between it and the SSH, but ultimately SSH was given the nod to go to the market while Mango remained tucked away as a private MNS favorite. Luckily Shanti has gifted us all with oppurtunity to work this amazing stock.

Hey folks,
Today I noticed my SSH and Mango Widow looked like they needed to be transplanted, so off to the store I went to pick up some supplys. Let me tell you, its not easy lugging a 50 pound bag of soil a mile back into the mountains. Add on the fact I was carrying two good sized planters with me, and you have yourself one hell of a workout. Good thing I stopped smoking, or I would probably still be out there in the dark, sitting down and taking a break. Probably lighting one up while I was at it haha.

So I transplanted those two plants, and may have to get another container soon for another SSH on its way. The Mangos themselves appear to be a much darker green than the last time I had seen them, but it was kind of dark. Tomorrow should tell the tale when I go back and check on them. They are using water up quite fast now, and they were clearly happy to see me arrive to take care of their needs. Ill probably have another transplant to do here shortly, but other than that everything is good to go. I should have a few updates on them shortly. Stay tuned.

Just to give you some eye candy to satisfy your needs here is an up to date photo of Rasputten. He needed a little water a few days ago, but has since picked it back up and is going full out. This guy is truely a survivor. There is still 15 hours + day light outside, so interesting to see him sex and flower as fast as he has. This isnt some fancy auto flowering ruderalis hybrid either, hes a local boy.

Rasputten would have come from marijuana that was very similar to the picture below.

outside_044.jpg

Above, is a typical example of marijuana that is grown outdoors by the majority of growers in the area. The exact lineage of the varietys is unknown, but I suspect them to obviously be Kush or Afghani of some kind. These varietys are not hard to find in my part of the world, and while there are many varietys that are different from one another as well, they still remain overall quite similar to one another despite the subtle differences in the ganja itself.

Its been grown in this area for as long as anyone can remember, so thats dating back quite some time now. There are definitely folks doing some different varietys in the area, but as I mentioned the particular type of marijuana that Rasputten is descended from has had a foot hold back here in these woods for generations.

Overall, as a population these plants all smell very skunky which is an indication of Afghanica being present in the genes. They come in fairly early, around mid September to October you're cooking good in green gold. The taste, regurdless of specific variety is very similar can be likened too a sweet, mildly herbal, maybe even earthy taste in a sense. They produce a narcotic stone that is generally pretty laid back overall.

I personally consider these varietys to be extremely valuable in a genetic sense, and I have dozens of these local varietys who are all similar to one another, yet with their own distinguishable differences individually. So I suspect most if not all of these plants have a common ancestor at some point in their history.

Hey nut :)
Thanks for stopping in dude. I didnt use anything to hump it into the grow area. I literally slung it over my shoulder and followed the yellow brick road to the "manufacturing" site lol. Im quite familiar with those ol military backpacks, you can stuff everything you own and still have a little room left over in them. Always good to have around. Unfortunately, I didnt have one available. So I just relied on good ol fashioned stoner power.

Hey Shanti,
Evening all, hope everyone is as comfortably numb as I am tonight. Ill have a few photo's to share with you all tonight actually, but I must apologize for the poor lighting as today was a particularly cloudy one.

Here is an update on the Mango Hazes.

August277.jpg

Well Ive returned once again from looking after this years crop, I transplanted a final SSH, gave the plants another plain jane watering and took a few photographs since I just happened to be in the neighborhood.

It was a little later than I generally like to be out in the bush, but it does make for alot better cover than broad daylight. You would think being out in the wilderness would mean you're alone with no other human beings around. Unfortunately, thats not the case anymore and you have to keep your whitts about you. If you see anything unusual, smell anything or especially hear anything take notice of it and dont casually brush it off as nothing folks. It very well could be something that is very worthy of your complete attention.
People arent the only thing to worry about out in the forest though, in my area especially there are predators who will drink your fucking milk shake if you're not careful. Just the other day I was looking a rattle snake in the eye, unfortunately I didnt have my camera or I would have shared that experience with you all :D

Here we have some close ups of the Mango Haze.
