Mark's Angel's Breath - New Year's Haze

It's unfortunate that most of my pictures are no longer available in tis thread, and shameful that posts have been deleted; because I put a lot of work into this strain and this thread. Who wants to read a 10-page grow thread without pictures?

I've grown a lot of males since this thread began in 2017, and I keep thinking back to the AB1 male I selected back then and the fact that it's the most resinous male I've ever worked with. Most sativa males show little or no resin, before or during flower. I kept pollen from the AB1 male frozen and used it across several other plants, including backcross to the spectacular Angel's Breathe F2 #5, which I was able to keep in clone form for several years. Understanding what Nevil said about the importance of the sire's lineage, I conclude that AB1 was a pretty special male and that I should grow some of the AB F2 BX seeds to try to find both a male and a female with the magic that I stumbled upon in the parental stock. I also want to see what the F3s look like; I had selected the F2 male with the skinniest leaves and most haze-like frame as the pollen donor from which F3s were made.

I got a 100% germination rate from 10 AB F2 BX seeds (AB5 x AB1) x AB1. I got 100% germination from 7 AB F3 seeds. I'll take clones and flower them in August.

I'll re-post some pics of AB1 and AB5 females and of the F2 mother that carried the seeds I'm now growing.

AB1 in veg. Lanky with big internodes. It looked like a Thai to me.

AB1 trichomes on the flower stems...probably the most resinous male I've worked with. He was special.

I let them veg outside in 4-inch pots for about two months. Then I neemed the crap out of them a couple times then transplanted them yesterday into living organic soil in 3.5-gallon fabric pots. They'll veg in the tent for a few more days before I flip them to 12/12.

Vegging in the tent...front row are the F3s. Numbered each group from shortest to tallest.

~ 9 weeks

These plants sexed pretty quickly. I ended up with six males and six females. I also put a couple outdoors, and they're doing well so far. Here they are after nearly 9 weeks of flowering.

AB F3 #1
This is the longest-flowering F3 and the only one that is developing a nice fenotrigo bud structure.

AB F3 #2
I harvested this one today. Very fast, tiny buds, tiny yield.

AB F3 #4
I also harvested this one today. A little better yield than #2, but not much.

AB BX #5
This one's close to harvest. It'll go ~10 weeks.

AB BX #6

This one looks to be most like her momma; she's the star of this grow. Definitely the longest flowering plant and developing fenotrigo bud structure.
