Mango Haze Inbred x AC Haze - Indoor “Organic” Coco LED Grow

My favourite female has nodes / bud sites with three branches sprouting out at each node. In my short growing career I haven’t seen this before, but I’m excited about it!! Should make for some large top colas if it continues?? 👀

According to Google the technical term is called “whorled phyllotaxy” or trifoliate. Apparently it may lead to increased yield.

I've seen this in Neville's Haze.
Can't say that these were better performing than the others but can't say that they were worse neither.
They did outgrow it later in flower and the cuts from these didn't show it later on.
I do recall one branch from a cut showing it on one node but that's it.

It does seem to pop up in the MNS hazes. :)

Another feature that shows up a bit more in the MNS hazes is the first set of leaves after the cotelyledons counting 3 fingers instead of just 1.

Plan on some serious LST/pinching/topping.😄

The plants are making great progress.. I unfortunately am becoming increasingly impatient 😩…. I’m to excited to eventually try these girls!! I’d settle for seeing some tiny buds and then trichomes starting to forum 😔… still early I know. The smarter side of me wants them to continue growing and adding additional bud sites.. Only Day 14 of flower! Anyone with experience with this strain or similar remember how long they stretched for?? I’m thinking up to 4 weeks?

Day 19 of flower! All of the plants have officially shown their sex. Of the 16 we started out with we got 8 females and 8 males!! I’ve culled all but 2 of the males and I need to find somewhere else in the house for them to live asap. The two males are closest to the couch middle and left.

Of the females there is quite a bit of variance in appearance, how far along they seem, structure and leaf size however somewhat minimal variance in smells. 5 of them smell like varying intensities of church / incense (two are quite strong!) 1 has very minimal smell at all but what is there has a subtle fruitiness to it. 1 has a mild spicy incense and then one has a quite strong leathery smell to her (back left corner of the tent, the tall one!).

The one male has strong church incense smells and the second has like a foul smell to him that I’m having trouble putting my finger on exactly what it smells like. After two and a half days out of town I had to raise the light the beast in the back corner was getting so close. Light intensity is at full blast and I need to stop being lazy and get the second light hung soon 😴!!

Two confirmed males that didn’t have much vigour were chopped! There are two others I’m leaving not 100% certain are male. The plant with 3 fingered first set of leaves with great vigour is male 😢 but I still have the other I said was my fav that’s confirmed female so they should make some great children 👀!! I have at least 6 confirmed female so far, a few that haven’t shown their hand yet! I know, I know!! I went extreme with the defoliation. I’m confident these vigorous plants will bounce back with a vengeance!!

The whole back row and most of if not all of the second row from the back are female. The one with the red tag is my favourite plant (and female) the one with the green tag in the coco is my 2nd favourite and it’s male. I think green tag will be the only male I keep but I may end up keeping a 2 males for genetic diversity sake.
just good to reduce the yield and loosing time of bloom
