Mango Haze and Mango Haze IBL, in search of a keeper

@Swifty is that a wheat pheno?

Your trich shots on there are insane! I can actually see the amber.😳
No, Mango Haze IBL# 6 looked like a wheat pheno but ended up with small and loose flowers.
Thanks Diesel840!
Your new phone is certainly up to the task!

mu
I'm happy with it, still much room for improvement.
Inspirational @Swifty.
Thanks Jonesie!:)
HOLY SHIT SCHNIKES! Those pictures are just too cool, Swifty!🥰😘
Did you say that was an iPhone 15 Pro?

Longball
Thanks Longball.:giggle:
Yes it is!

Day 10 of flower.

Everything is going ok so far, temps are between 16-20°C.
To cold but they seem fairly ok.
It seems that temps are not the main culprit in difficulties with led growing so far?
I will transplant them this week, I'm starting to see signs of being rootbound.
As soon as the cuts root I will clean up the bottom branches.

The lady's had a visitor last night, Christmas spirit in the tent!

Merry Christmas Mr. Brown.😊

I must say that it is you that inspire me to keep things clean and tidy, your grows are always immaculate and picture perfect!
You are a role model to a lot of growers here.

We have a saying:

clean house means a clear head
peace in your house brings peace to your mind

and for me this is very much true.

Greetings!

10 out of 15 are trimmed and jarred, the wife says I'm starting to look cross-eyed.😄
Certainly feels that way, I will take a break for some days.

Still early, but past couple of days I've enjoyed Mango Haze #9 a lot.
Looks very sativa dominant in bud structure and smokes like a sativa.
She has a soaring uplifting high that makes you feel really good and warm inside with good energy to top it off.

She is no slouch in the trich deparment either!

The high is already strong and potent and has a gentle comedown.

First pheno that has the mango smell.👍
looooove this. beam me up, swifty!

Day 18 of flower today.

The girls are doing well, slightly rootbound but I see that they are becoming more vital since transplant (Plagron Light Mix) in 3L pots 3 days ago.
Still in stretch mode but I can see the first signs of flowers.
Stretch was halted a bit by keeping them in small pots at the beginning of flowering, lets hope I got the timing right.
Smallest plant is Western Winds, she could have been transplanted from the start of flowering.
The light is 40cm above canopy and now at 90%.
Feeding at 0,75ml/l Silic Rock, 0,75ml/l Calmag and 3ml/l Alga Bloom.

From the 15 cuts I made (from each plant one), 12 are rooted and the rest still look strong.
I noticed someting peculiar with the cut of MHI#6: leaf is rooting also!:)

I would like to wish everybody a good health and postive vibez!
And ofcourse bountiful harvests of the best buds you ever grown in your life.;)

Greetings.

Hello,

Here are some pictures of Mango Haze#9, Mango Haze IBL#3 and Mango Haze #12 that I harvested @77 days of flowering.

Mango Haze #9 smells like mango, very perfumy and with a sour twist to it.

View attachment 77648View attachment 77649View attachment 77650

Mango Haze Inbred line #3 smells like paint thinner (sweeter) and onions to me. Yields are also very good on this pheno.

View attachment 77651View attachment 77652View attachment 77653

Mango Haze#12 smells sour, kind of like green apple and also musky. This is also a big yielder.

View attachment 77654View attachment 77655View attachment 77656

I must say that I find it very hard to describe these scents. I wonder how breeders do this?
Do they have some kind of system or approach to do this?
To me every female smells different but the nuances are sometimes subtle. I let my wife or my brother or a friend smell and let them write it on a piece of paper.
If I show them mine they agree most of the times but they did wrote something different. Very confusing at times:).
I also struggle with "resetting" my nose when I'm doing this.
Some scents just stay in my nose for a while.

Anyway, these pheno's are also good quality just like the rest I harvested before.
This line is just A+++ quality by looks.

Keep in mind that these plants were to big and had been topped multiple times while in flower.
Did not found any male part yet and no seeds.
One plant had a little bit of mould (fattest pheno), rest had no mould at all.

Greetings.
Hi Swifty. Well I came online about 2 hours ago to look at some shark shock growns and have gotten stuck in your thread instead. Gorgeous grow, well done!
Many years ago I used to sell perfume, and one of the tricks we were always told was to have a cup of roasted coffee beans. Supposedly if you smell the coffee beans between each perfume, it reset your sense of smell. Not sure how true it is, but might be worth doing to "reset" your nose!

Edit: I realise this was actually discussed on page 11!

Any chance of a smoke report @Swifty ? :)

Time for the first smoke/vape reports!

They are al cured for 4-8 weeks now and i have sampled them many times. Last week I smoked SSH so I could start with a fresh view on the high of these different pheno's.

I can already tell that the Mango Haze is in general more "user friendly", kinder and more social highs than SSH.
This means not that they are weaker in potency, they rather acompany your more instead of pulling you for a ride.
As to be expected I had a lot of different pheno's, I can say that even the less favored are still good and certainly worth it.

As I vape more now I will assess them when vaped, I made notes the past few days.

Let's start with Mango Haze IBL#1:

This is the second run of this pheno and I really like it.
Smells darker with coffee and chocolat tones.
After braking up you can smell some tropical sweetness and hints of decomposing leaves.
The smell is pronounced and easy remarkable but not to strong.
You can taste this very good when vaping, earthiness with a lot of complex undertones.
High from this pheno is very strong and psychedelic. It takes you away for a good 3 hours and after 4-5 hours it takes you more gently back.
Potency is pretty high, not very clear but not lethargic neither. This pheno is more enjoyable alone, listening to music and contemplating about life or ideas.
In the first hour I had some nice visual enhancements, I reckon that overindulging will lead to trippy effects.
Not a day time pheno!
Flowers turned purple and look like a proper sativa.
Very oily to the touch with big heads:

The second pheno is Mango Haze#12.
This pheno smells more fresh and gentle. Hints of basil and some muskiness. The smell is also more "dry", a bit like afghan.
She tastes sweeter, a bit mentholated and even a slight hint of haze in her. Taste is more complex than the smell.
The high is a nice mix, she is kinder and is more day time medicin although a bit more heavy in the end but still very enjoyable and far from indica high.
The buds feel very soft to the touch, resins are more dry and not sticky.
I find her to have more smaller heads:

Next is Mango Haze IBL#8.
This pheno is exceptional and in the league of MH IBL#1, I rate her as very very potent with a devastating high.
Smell is very strong and pungent. I smell old cheese, some onions and a bit spicy, stings in the nose!
The smell translates well into the smoke.
Now the high is something else, onset is almost immediate, very intense rushes and surges through the body and head. This high is a solid 9 already.
This reminds me most of Amnesia Haze, I get the same drunk feeling and I find myself unable to do anything but smile in the couch. Very intense and long lasting.
I lose my sense of balance for a good 1,5h, real wacky weed!
Don't operate anything after smoking this, even changing channels on the tv is a daunting task.
Flowers are very resinous and also very sativa in appearance.
Big trichome heads that are more sticky:

I will end for today with Mango Haze#2.
She smells rather soft after curing, still some sweetness althoug not very mango like anymore.
I recognize a strange parsil like smell and you can taste this more.
Good uplifting high that makes you sleep like a baby afterwards.
Potency is good, a nice ride but nothing exceptional. Duration is a bit shorter but she has a more euphoric and gentle start.
Buds are more firmer and resemble a good sativa dominant hybrid.
Buds also have that soft touch when you pinch them and are oily.
This pheno is a nice allrounder that I enjoy!

Very happy with these so far.
Give me some time, I will be back with more.:)
