Mango Haze and Mango Haze IBL, in search of a keeper

I hope so, this is the most thin leaved girl I have ever grown.
Didn't expect it from the inbred line but happy to have her.
I really hope to find a strong, clear and euphoric high in one of these mango's!

I will follow Neville on this and will do 1-1 mating with my SSH and Western Winds keepers.
If something special pops up in the Mango Haze IBL or Mango Haze females it will also be used.
I will make these seeds under the sun next year!

Will be interesting to see if the pollen ist still viable. How will you store it?

First time I do this, I found a lot of info here on site.
Time will tell.

Will be interesting to see if the pollen ist still viable. How will you store it?

I sprayed the males down with water and after 2 days I collected al the pods that where ripe or ready to burst open.
I dried these for an aditional 2 days and then harvested the pollen.
I mixed it with flour (dried in the oven for 60 minute) and mixed it with a ratio of 1 part pollen/ 3 part flour.
The mix is kept in small viales and then in an air tight jar with dessicants.
That went in the freezer.
I will harvest 3 times and should have 3 separate batches.

I trimmed Mango Haze IBL#1 today, had 42grams of bud and some larf.
Not bad for 4L of soil!

These delicate buds smell like dark chocolate and coffee to me, the wife says it also smells like licorice.
They will go into a jar for some further curing.

I did this in order to harvest fresh pollen and not older pollen, A good spray down removed older pollen and male flowers.
Seemed like a good idea for me but like I said, I'm a newbie in collecting pollen.

It is chaos in the shed but in a good way.
I have lots of different phenos, difficult to see or inspect them all atm, let alone take a decent picture.
I still had to cut some tops from 2 plants, the stretch is not over for these 2.
I wonder how this grow will end, never had such crazy growing and vigorous plants.
I guess I'm balls deep in it now.

Health is still good, I should be able to make a decent selection from this grow.

Lighting is at 315w CMH, led's are at 100% and distance is aprox. 10cm-15 to the plants.
They receive 13h lights off and 11h lights on.
They are fed 2ml/L Alga Bloom and 0,5ml Green Sensation in rainwater, started today.
Temps are around 27°C, RH around 50%.

Nice surprise this morning when I entered the shed, some very exotique smells already!

Everything is progressing good, I hope I'm around half way point for most of the pheno's.

Lighting is at 315w CMH, led's are at 100% and distance is aprox. 10cm-15 to the plants.
They receive 13h lights off and 11h lights on.
They are fed 2ml/L Alga Bloom and 0,5ml Green Sensation in rainwater.

Day 53 of flower,

The earlier phenos are starting to bulk up. I hope to harvest these in a good 2 weeks from now
Last week was colder and very humid here, conditions are far from good, this week should be better.
Still smells nice in the shed.
Had 2 fans that failed last week, they seized up and smelled burned.
There were days that the walls had condensation on them, not good.
I did some light pruning of the leaves on every plant, I hope that this helps with the humidity...

Lighting is at 315w CMH, led's are at 100% and distance is aprox. 10cm-15 to the plants.
They receive 13h lights off and 11h lights on.
They are fed 2ml/L Alga Bloom and 0,5ml/L Green Sensation in rainwater, starting this week I will give them 0,5ml/L Sugar Royal once a week (only in combination with Alga Bloom)
Temps are around 20°C, RH around 70%.

Curious because I'm a few weeks out and while I know many people do this I am not aware of any 'white paper' or 'abstracts' that have covered this. I am wondering your opinion on it as your grows always look great!

First pheno's should be ready in a couple of weeks, the majority will need some more time but the fastest pheno's are also the densest.
The fear for mold is real this grow!

Growing in soil, lighter feedings and last 1-2 weeks plain water works good for me.
I like to harvest more yellow looking plants, I stop the feeding by how the plants look in the final phase.
Last grow was to green at the end but I must admit that the smoke still is very good after some curing. Buds did feel a bit more harder but that could be from the silica also.
Still trying to improve!

Good luck with your harvest and please give us an update, I bet that it is already nice @upstate NY this time of year.

I have every plant as clone now, this is just a first run to see what I like.
I will run the keepers a second time to narrow the selection down to hopefully (an) elite individual(s) for my taste.

Day 59 of flower,

I found 2 buds with some mold on this morning. These have been leaning to the wall, didn't notice before.
Since this week I started noticing a cat piss smell when opening the shed. There is a stinker amongst them.
As of next weekend I will start to look for pheno's that are ready, almost 10 weeks of flowering then.

Each harvested plant will be pictured and described individually.

Lighting is at 315w CMH, led's are at 100% and distance is aprox. 10cm-15 to the plants.
They receive 13,5h lights off and 10,5h lights on.
They are fed 1ml/L Alga Bloom and 0,5ml/L Green Sensation in rainwater, and 0,5ml/L Sugar Royal once a week (only in combination with Alga Bloom).
As of now feeding is lowered and frequency also. One in three waterings is with feeding.
Pheno's who are looking almost ready will recieve only water from now on.
Temps are around 20°C, RH around 60%.
