Little Afghanica hunt

This morning, plants are looking better..
Yesterday, just before dawn, they had leafs pointed upwards !!
I love the way plants communicate.. :)

G13s also looked bit better..
Yet this morning they are still good looking, so repoting went Okay..

So maybe I am on good way to grow in coco afterall..
It was only medium i got by myself so I used it...

Now I wonder, what pH should I give biocanna nutes at.. I think 5.9-6.2 would be okay, I will try.. Hopefully it will become good allround :)

The mix is made of 2parts coco to 1 part wormcasts and 1 part perlite.. Bit of grow ammendments added...

Yesterday, I have added rhozitonic, to help root system and bit of grow nutes for more greenery, pHed at 6.0
And also, last time I have spraied Cannacure, which helped a lot this time..
I cant tell you enought, how I like Cannacure, it always helps !

So after few more days, I should pick 6 plants for bigger pots... And it will be exactly 2/2/2 :)
I will have ease with picking the strongest from previous horrors they lived thru.

Two Nordles that grow like each other, two GDPs that are growing low profile and two GASes that got it to true leafs and picked up from gnats infestation.

My earlier coco-worm mixture will be mixed 50/50 with bioterra, hopefully, it will supllement each other.
I have also sourced some azadirachta indica crush, so I will implement it into my next soil mixture, it will help me to fight all the nastiness in pots.

Also, once I mix that soil recipe, I will introduce some nematodes in it, so the nematodes would have time to kill any inhabbitant, if any is still there !

I think, I will post some actualization on weekend ;)

Stay tuned

As I said earlier, I have sourced some crushed Neem, but I have also bought some Plagron ammendments, actually all of them (supermix / batguano / calcium kick).

So I made following mixture
- around 8 l of fresh Coco
- some 2 l of wormcastings
- 2 l of perlite
_____________
This I let sit for few weeks and today I ammended that using 60g of Calcium Kick / 0,6 l of Supermix / around 60 g of Bat guano / 120 g of Neem
Mixed toroughly and now waiting for tomorow and repoting.
If this mix will be any good, on flower repoting I will only add one more part of Bat guano..

Tomorow repoting of chosen 6 plants into 3 l veg texpots...
All of them got recovered.. Yet Only 6 Id say are best :)
That would be something if this become my first real organic supercoco crop :D

The smell of neem is 3times bigger then from bat guano fy imagination :D

BioCanna soil will be in reserves, if something get wrong

I Like supermix a lot, I mix this in with the last 10cm of dirt at the bottom of the pots and ammend with regular soil until the pots are filled.
I'm following this!(y)

All lings have been planted

2x :alien: Nordles
2x 🦚 G13 AS
2x :devilish: GDPs

I selected the most resiliant plants, females would need to live in dificult outdoor conditions, so these seems to be good for kind of adventure.

Have to say darker Nordle 3 have some stinky smells allready in veg, it is my dark knight
G13s are looking healthy to me, I hope they will continue in that manner

Hopefully my poting mix will be great atleast !! :)

Your plants look great so far (y)

20230228_170605.jpg

Yesterday I watered each plant with 200 ml of rhizotonic and grow nutes from Biocanna at pH 6,2 to start up the microbes in supercoco mixture.
So far plants looking good I think.
Also Iam misting them each day just before bed time.
So I dont have to use humidifier, Iam at some 50-60% all the time.
All plants are hardening fine and just starting to vegetate a bit !!

Seems good to me...

G13ASs
- both got their vigour back, making some healthy looking fat leafs
- both plants are also slightly praining towards sun ( which is now at some 75-80Watts )

G13AS1.jpg G13AS2.jpg

Nordles
- one in front (left) have leafs with deep texture, which seration is like teeth or saw edge
- also got some darker green colors
- favorizing this plant so far, one leaf is damaged from previous trouble, yet else looking great to me
- the second nordle is having quite a bit simillarities with G13xAS cousins :)

N1.jpg N2.jpg

GDPs
- the back one (right) is kind of warmed off, I still see a lot of spots on it, crawly leafs, yet it looked healthy before, will see what will be done with it, so far it is my least favorite
- the other one is okay plant, with nice rich green colours
- the new growth starting with violet colours

EDIT: Do you see mutation on left plant leafs? Double ended finger on one side, it is repeating on each node. . .

It is okay, you see ? - finally !! :)
Iam not that much used for that dark of a green lately !!

Maybe next time a bit lower on those ferts into mix of coco made poting mix...
But Iam happy, I think !
Adding only Rhizotonic so far, and pH 6,1-6,3
Bottom watering and bit of upper moistening...
Occaisional bottlespray..

Toped plants yesterday...

G13 x Afghan Skunk
- pleasure to look at both plants :)
- #3 is so vibrant green !
- #1 is fatter

1G1.jpg 2G3.jpg

Nordle
-both looking glossy and very pretty
-love the darker Nordle so much :) for its short-wider leafs
-both are lovely

3N3.jpg 4N2.jpg

GDP
-also looking pretty, dark to emerald like colours
-the second one will be shortly be missed I think...
(hard rule of 5) no other choice, to keep it on safer side hobby ! :(

Plants are doing great job, the poting mix is good, all is dialed in, not even one gnat around.. :)

Now,, eHmmm... Your attention please...
Just 2 days after toping the plants

G13 AS 1 hope not male
g13-1.jpg

G13 AS 3 hope not male
g13-3.jpg g13-3-2.jpg

Nordle 3 :( hope not male

This time around, there is only one fix I think...

I cant garantee that plants are males actually...
But with my luck lately :D
I have to think forward.. so..

GDPs were discarded this time around, but here is my next go to substitution . .
I think Iam left with just one Nordle so far, and even there I dont know if he or she...

So I will prepare something more to select good female from..

. . .what do you think ?

So I now have
2+2 G13 Afghan Skunks
2+2 Nordles
2 Ortegas
2 gdp males (kind of autoflowering - that is why I discarded them..)

Hope for 4 females atleast :)

Photos, once they are more developed..

Did I say I have 100% germination rate for MrNice seeds so far ? For maybe 60 seeds of different strains so far ?

Iam not counting Nordles few years back, cause I killed them by my own fault :/

G13 x Afghan Skunk 1
- very pretty & healthy looking plant

G13AS1.jpg

G13 x Afghan Skunk 3
- maybe even prettier & more colourfull plant

G13AS3.jpg

Nordle 2
- also very pretty plant, actually only one that is bushing to the sides, that I like so much

NORDLE2.jpg

Nordle 3
-I love this one, cause it is so dark, so different, so thin and thick at once !
-I think I will keep this one for some indoor fun, stuff, breeding maybe ?....

NORDLE3.jpg

There will be something to choose from . . .
Nordle on the left, G13AS middle..

One more G13AS (4) is up, both Nordles too (4,5)...
Other G13AS and Ortegas are just about to put helmets off :)

I have put them all directly into my new potting mix, just bit lower dose of bat guano, could be even better... :)

Untitled.jpg

.
..
. . .
Now just tell me please, should I just up the humidity? from 55ish %
or what are leaf tips telling me?
I know, bit burned, but I mean the tips pointing downwards

Love the look of nordle #3 too!

It can't hurt to go a little higher in humidity imo, but plenty of fresh air is also crucial.
With led's it also good to have a higher temp to keep the respiration up, 25°C is a good starting point.
I would start by changing one thing at a time!

They look great.:)

Here a pic with RV68% and temp 26°C, grow was Western Winds past summer.WW5Nice.JPG

Greetings!

@Swifty said: "I would start by changing one thing at a time!"

Swifty has a great idea. Whether trying to fix your plants or your car, etc. Only change one thing at a time. If it works or don't work, you'll have an answer. I learned this by trying to make my race car faster. I changed about 10 things at once and the car got slower. What a mess. Which change made it worse? I had to take it all apart and start over. Then added one thing at a time until I found the correct solution.

Sometimes(sometimes does not mean always), too much wetness will cause leaf tips to turn downward. For example, over watering, watering too frequently, not letting the medium dry out enough between waterings. Fungus gnats are generally(does not mean always) a sign of the medium kept too wet.

As Swifty says, one thing at a time!

HTH!
