Let's grow Super Silver Haze

I guess it’s how we learned or how it’s smoked in our respective countries and what is “normal” for us. Kind of like drinking warm beer vs cold beer. I like my beer on ice. Thanks for your point of view. BTW, I have an uncle in Eastern Europe where smoking cigarettes is a part of life. He smokes one after another and throws in shots of liquor In between. He is in his upper 80’s and can still chop wood! Keep growing, smoking and enjoying life P420!

Not sure what happened to my first reply but basically it seems that we all have different ways to the same end. Depends on how we learned and what is normal where we live. Kind of like drinking warm beer vs cold beer. I have an uncle in Eastern Europe where smoking cigarettes is part of life. He smokes one after another with a shot of liquor in between. He is in his mid 80’s and can still chop wood! Thanks for your explanation P420. Keep growing, smoking and enjoying life.

my first reply just showed up…BTW, You did a great job with an awesome strain!

Same to you my Brother! Yes, they are a different breed especially the older generations. Lots of hard work and good food among other things. I’ll be there sooner than later so I’m trying my best with diet and exercise. Its going to be very hot here the next few days so I will most likely have a cold one to cool off. So here’s to you and all the NICE people here. Cheers, Salude and Nasdraveh! Ps: I very rarely drink anymore. I’d rather toke…

I too am looking for your final assessment of this variety. Your initial report was excellent. That mixing with tobacco thing- I don’t know how you braddahs do that, it seems that it makes the whole concoction stronger. I quit tobacco too bc of my illness. I do miss the cognac tho lol. Have a smoke and drink for me fellas. Aloha nui.

Love those Eastern European women! Most of my wives and GF's have been of Eastern European descent. Especially those Ukrainian women, ooh-la-la! Huge Ukrainian community in my area! :)

So here is my little pre-smoke report for SSH A:
Asss_LmRQLYJh8Z.jpeg

Looks and feels
SSH A has a bit more open structure than B, it feels a little softer. Still it is dense and resinous. Too me it looks a little more sativa-ish than the B.

Smell and taste
The smell is quite complex. I'd describe the main smell as floral. (Reminds me of that 'Thai'-bag seed I grew some years ago). But there is also some spice in there. A little pepper and a tiny amount of incense, far far in the background.

The High
Took three pulls of a spliff and was high for about two hours. Seriously potent.
I felt very comfortable in my body, very relaxed. The head was not high in the clouds like with SSH B. I was quite stoned at the beginning, which step by step flowed into a very dreamy state of mind. After about two hours the munchies kicked in. Fine herb!

SSH C and SSH F were harvested on flowering day number 81. That was 12 days ago. The very rainy weather of the last two days is really slowing down the drying process... With about 80% humidity in my flat... I will start my dehumidifier tomorrow.

Beautiful looks and smells! She still has this 'hazey lemon smell', I bet most people around here would instantly recognize. Will tell you more in the (pre-)smoke report!

SSH F

Quite sure that SSH F could have stayed another few weeks in this tent... but there are other plants waiting. So I couldn't really finish her, eventhough there are already some cloudy trichomes on her.
Sorry to say that, but she had one of the most disgusting smells I ever smelled on a plant, when I chopped her 😂 A tender mix of vomit and sh*t. Seriously disgusting. BUT after 12 days of slow drying there is nothing left of that. 🤔 Just floral notes with a tiny hint of incense. Never experienced such drastic changes in smell while drying.

Hello, hello 🌱
So after many long weeks of super wet weather, which were a huge pain in the a** for me... I finally present you the...

Looks and feels
Okay and it's gonna be written in fat letters, because I'm not able to change that right now! 😂
SSH C looks really resinous and beautiful. She has a nice dense structure and has kind of a foxtaily look to it.

Smell and taste
Well. I don't want to exaggerate here.. but this smells and tastes like heaven. The smell is still fruity/lemony/hazey (what I would call hazey...) And it tastes like a mixture of fruit salad and Haze... It's delicious and one of the best herbs I smoked so far!

The High
Again - three pulls of a spliff and you are good to go. The SSH C takes its time to give you the goodness. Maybe what some people would call a Creeper?
But after a little while you keep getting higher and higher. A pretty complex high in my eyes.
It's somehow a mixture of SSH A and B, high-wise. Feels super good. I felt very comfortable in my body, while I was in a dreamy-focused, active-confused state of mind. Talkative. After two hours I felt focused and could have a nice active conversation with a friend.

Looks and feels
SSH F has a nice structure. Open and yet compact 😂 It feels soft to the touch, but has dense buds.

Smell and taste
She smells pretty woody right now. A floral note, sweet and spicey, it's a quite complex smell. Thank Shiva the disgusting smell from the harvest is gone by now 😂

The High
The high is close to SSH A. It's quite dreamy. Not overwhelmingly potent, but still potent enough that a mini spliff of it can be felt for about two hours.
I didn't feel the urge to be active, thinking and acting became kind of slow and relaxed.
I smoked her only once a few days ago.

After evaluating those four types of SSH I really became aware of how set and setting do influence my perception of cannabis.
Most of the time I go for a little walk, while smoking. Some of the time there were activities involved, like cleaning up my flat or playing disc golf or having a conversation. It was a really nice to have SSH's company during all of that! 💚
Sadly @longball could not make it up until now to help me test the SSH. I didn't respond his offer... But it is more than appreciated and @longball , you are more than welcome around here! Maybe in a few months you can join me for a final smoke report? 🤔
My first expression on Super Silver Haze is: It has a quite complex high, which really let's you feel your body and kicks your head right in two different cloud levels. I felt so very good on an emotional level and how I saw the world around me, that I really gotta say:
This is really special herb. One of the best I grew and smoked so far. I can only imagine what would be possibly if it is grown and dryed/cured on point. (Like @Swifty does it 😉)
SSH B and SSH C really shine for me, I will try to keep them around. I'm not sure how my journey continues. Maybe I will move to another flat in the course of the next year... So maybe Bonsai Mothers would be a good thing to do.... 😄
Oh, did I tell you I've got about
25 seeds of SSH A x ...?
22 seeds of SSH B x ...?
10 seeds of SSH C x ...?
13 seeds of SSH F x ...?
😂?
They all look very ripe, healthy and heterogeneous!
