Yet another fellow grower walked out of my house with a couple of cuts of my Critical Haze keeper. He seemed delighted. Massive smile on his face!:D

I squeezed a crop out at 7 weeks, too (multi pruned with many many [smaller] tops) - so a commercial success, too.

I promised a cut to a commercial Cheese grower the other day (Exodus..) Let's see what his crew make of her...the acid test! I reckon it's better than the Cheese, personally....let's find out!

Still waiting on this!

Excellent plants man, and the descriptions are tempting as hell. I gotta try this Critical Haze.

Did I never do that? Damn.

The picture on the strain guide, that's her! She is fruity tangy to the max. Lemon Candy, sometimes pineapple maybe. The Haze taste is there from the first inhale and she is buzzy - a kinder skunk-like experience. The haze gives a big smile on the face and gives an electric edge.
The buds are dense but not rock-hard. Very resinous and the flowers grow out in all directions. She is very colourful and smells VERY VERY strong. Bag appeal is therefore extremely high.
Growth-wise she is sturdy and extremely vigorous. The smell is there from pretty early on so if an early crop is required then you still harvest tasty, stinky, marketable weed. The plant is main cola dom with a few large satellites. When pruned to multi-top the yield is lower but the plant comes in slightly quicker.
She takes about 9 weeks, maybe slightly less, but you can harvest her after 7 or so if needs be (OK, you will miss out of the very best of the high but the buds are still great)

Giggle-weed, not bedtime-bud.

I've yet to finish her outdoors so I can't comment yet but I have some cuts in the back garden now so I can give a report at the end of the season. If there are late rains I think she can be harvested a week or 2 early so she will be fine.

Overall there aren't really any faults with this plant. She has made it to a fair number of other grow-rooms already (UK and beyond!) and everyone has been happy so far. The end product is popular with buyers, smokers and growers alike and is the one variety which I can enjoy commercially or as head-stash. I have heard great things about this in the greenhouse and will be able to confirm or deny them soon.
I grew out 3 of the 4 quarter hazes. MasterKaze, ASH and Critical Haze. I found 1 superb ASH (strength, soft smoke and yield) a few wonderful smokes in the MKaze (taste taste taste! and big buzz) but nothing else came close to this girl in terms of all-round package (taste, yield, aroma, bag appeal, resin, ease of growth, vigor, flowering time and of course, high)

Wonderful stuff.

hey man thanks so much for such an informative grow thread... i really wanna give this girl a go sometime in the near future... she looks like she has some incredible potential for commercial use.

Hey there grover sorry its a bit late but i just read your report on ch and it was great thanks for the great descriptions and feeding tips,i'll consider these when i run these.

dwc, pluko

Cheers guys. Definite commercial holy grail as far as hazes are concerned. She doesn't take much feeding at all, either so is cheaper and easier to grow.

I hope you love her as much as I do. I'll keep an eye out for your grows and join your Critical Haze threads (and the fun) if you get any up!

JKP - I've got a couple of cuts with your name on them (time to try this pheno instead of the one I sent before...) Be ready soon. Enjoy.

Good Luck

Damn dude, you're selling the hell out of this stuff! And I mean that in the best way.

Do you mean the picture on the main mrnice website when you click on critical haze? If so that's a beautiful lady you had there, very nice.

How many beans did you pop to find your keeper? Were there many that were similar or was there only one plant of this phenotype?

Hey Smoke On,

Thanks for taking the time to read my posts!

Yes, the photos on the main page are of my girl (well, the 2nd photo definitely is of this pheno. I can't remember which phenos the other 2 photos were of...:o) It's something that gives me at least a bit of pride (oh the small joys which make it all worthwhile for the little people like me....)

I found my keeper in just 1 pack of seeds. I'm not sure if there will be one that perfect in EVERY pack but maybe.... The other plants were mostly very similar in taste, some slightly less sweet, some slightly more skunky. The highs ranged from VERY strong but too indica for me to pretty hazy. All the plants grew in similar ways, with some yielding slightly less because they came in quicker. The skunkier ones are slightly less single cola dom. The thing is this one was a 'goldilocks' pheno - just right on each spectrum (taste, sweetness, length of flower, yield, high etc.)

I reckon there will be something special in every pack but as I only grew out 1 pack I can't promise that...

2 more growers received cuts of her yesterday, as well as my friends, Joe King Park, and Billy Liar. I'm sure JKP, Stic (who also has a cut) and BL will give honest assessments as they grow her out. As for the other 2 growers, 1 owns a growshop deep in Cheese territory (Bedfordshire, less than 15 miles from where Cheese was first found) and the other usually grows a variety called 'Armageddon' which I haven't heard of but the name says it all, really.

So Grover's Critical Haze Keeper is up against some stiff competition (Cheese, Armageddon and whatever JKP, Stic and BL have in their vaults...) Let's see what the reports are in a few months time! (Actually both JKP and BL have experience with this variety so they will know what they are talking about..)

My advice, give this variety a go - if only for that lemon-metal flavour of joy.

Looking Good Buddy!

Hi JKP, them plants are looking beautiful. WOW how big is that leaf on the NHS fem , blimey, you could shade from the sun under that lol.

I gotta say, your Rottweiler is soooo gorgeous! I love Rotties, they have a bad name/press due to some past and recent incidents. I believe that a Rotties temperament is in part down to how the owner treats and looks after it though.

I had one when I was a nipper and she was as daft as a brush, a real good loving family dog-but when the time called for it e.g a stranger at the door-she stepped up to the mark and let it be known that she was here to protect us. She has long since passed. R.I.P-T.o.B. awww she was lovely. I bet your Rotty loves bounding up and down that beach huh JKP? :D

Some beautiful early morning shots there to JKP! ;)

I've got to move somewhere idyllic like where you are, the sense of freedom must be great compared to inner city living. Do you go fishing at all JKP? And are you allowed to catch fish for dinner, or would you need a permit?

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Redeye420 :)

GS

well if it isn't the critical haze, advertising society...LOL
I know the keeper from the description, same plant I love and found in my pack.. all who read my thread will know that my mothers got flowered and labels disregarded:(. what I can say tho is the grower did a blinding job (first ever grow) and was great weed, (harvested a little early too)..
my latest offering (non keeper) was LOVED by the local cheese fraternity too.. (its that good;))
Armageddon... VERY popular round here, grown it, didn't like it.. but strange strain, not much info on the net or forums, so may have 2 names???
so back to the point, THANX for the cut groover...:D she came a little bruised, but she doing fine in the propagator, next to the Mango's...
I'm right with you on the commercial aspect of this plant, as good as ANY mainstream strain in the UK, the keeper is better (or at least as good) than the S.A.G.E I worked a lot with but more grower friendly with a shorter flowering time..
So like Groover my advice is Get this strain, you wont be disappointed (with any pheno)..
Peace
BL

JKP hope things are fine with you, hoping for a visit very soon, but I got so much going on right now, that I cant see me making it to Wales in the next month.. Take care and be well mate..;)

Thanks Billy
