Grail: The Ultimate Haze Hybrid

Your probably familiar with the GS/MS.
With the The FID, its a flame thermocouple detector and the ions produced in the flame are measured as opposed to the heat generated.

The plate culture tells You what molds, etc are living on the buds.

Costs:
If You have extra bud that Harborside can purchase, I believe they will test it for You free. They post all info with the bud. I think the GS tests were around $115.00, if You just walk in with a sample for Your own use.

Harvest!

Partial Harvest anyway. All the 70 day hybrids just got the axe. All longer going hazes and Thais are getting hauled down the stairs, one at a time out to the yard, and into the Old Greenhouse. After the storms, they will go into the center yard for full sun to finish.

I just harvested a bunch of plants, with some really nice buds on them. Lots of seeds in select buds too. Ill take some pics in a bit for You. A couple plants look pretty exotic. Im taking a break. The pots are heavy , and thats a long way to the greenhouse outback

I harvested 9 plants. Most went outdoors to the green house though. We are warm enough outside now. Just have to watch out for storms.
Heres one of the Maui Wowi Phenos. I kept clones of each one.

Hi Jim,

I have never put too much faith in lab analysis. Case in point: I had 2 Seedbank clones, one a NL#1 which apparently had an average thc content of around 22%, and a NL5Hz clone, which had an average thc content of just 17%.

Now you could smoke fat joints of that NL#1 all day long and you would not be as high as you could get from a single big hit of the NL5Hz. Why is that?
I believe that within the cannabinoid profile there are many cannabinoids, most of which have not been identified to date, that are responsible for exponentially compounding the effects of THC. That is just my theory though. Its the only explanation I could think of.

Well the lab would be right about the THC level but how that and other compounds interact with YOU is different! ie a smoke thats good for me might not be for the brother/sister next to me!.

Hi mr kanga ,,
i definately agree with your preferance for outdoor over indoor ,,
its absolutely mine as you already know ..'

on the resin production ,, generally its bettter indoor ,,
though i get some much the same during the dry season when theres perfect weather and no rain ...

sad to hear about the interesexed female plant , where are they from??

On the subject of indoor vs outdoor surely there is so many factors that need to be taken into account... most of todays strains came from outdoor strains though they are now acclimitised (or selectively bred) to suit the indoor niche.. so would these strains be better adapted for indoor or would they bred for a few seasons outdoor rapidly adapt ?!?!? and out do the indoor ? obviously if outdoor is the way for medicine etc theres only so many places suitable...

That is one sexy lady

Now that look like some heavy sativa,Quite a differnet structure from CP plant.Im curious as to a smoke report and how the smoke might compare.

Was that beauty pollenated by any luck males?

best wishes

Yes she was pollenated on separate branches with Nevilles Haze, Mango Haze, Oaxacan, VietnamBlack/that, and Salmon creekorangeKush/mexican.

I have enough seeds now to last several lifetimes

Soo i gather you smoked her ,can we hav smoked report

All id bet hav great potential ,i think the NH n especially VB/thai will be most interesting considering many of the island strains have S.E.asian origins.

Hey Wal.....Yeah mate I get good resin production as well when we have that dry finish or as you say at the end of the winter grow.
Hey mate I cant really say who gave the seeds, I can only say that is is a very well known and top class breeder.
I really should have stress tested them before I put them out, like I do all new strains, so I really should blame myself for that one.
Anyway I will test the seeds I have just made off the other plant that is perfectly ok. As Nev and I have said we want to make seeds that are all uniform and dont throw up any suprises when grown out.
I know using the Oaxacan and MM will help this as there has never been any signs of any hermies ever and that has been through some pretty stressful times.
Hows the weather up there ??? I am hearing you might be getting some more wet stuff.

I have found that all plants grown indoors can been grown outdoors with no problem at all. If I find some that seem weak then I cull them just in case.
Of course as each season goes by and with selection you will have those plants growing better each time, also you will get to know the strain better.

cant wait for the rest of the reports dr p :D

hi mr kanga ,
yes unfortunately its been wet still ..
i should have given up on the year months ago and saved the heartache ,, hehe

I did manage to test out a sativa strain , which was worthwhile doing ,

next year it might be an idea for me to toss in some of your sativas late to see what they do , they look vigerous enough to possibly perform in the late season.

Outdoors

With hazes outdoors here, I grow them under direct sun, stake them out, and keep them below 4 feet tall, then erect a hoop house style green house over the top of them as winter sets in. Its fun to have your morning coffee with the plants inside the hoop house when its storming outside.

I keep the plants low, but they wander wide. My Ohaze/skunk was 7 foot wide by ten foot long, and 3 foot high. A regular hedge of buds. I think it finished around Christmas. The Nevilles haze clone may go in that spot this year, or a Maui #2. Pretty exotic smoke.

Yeah, well if you are like most of the heavy smokers who have tried my NL5Hz, it would probably be way too much for you.

If you are just a casual smoker it might have made you throw up or piss your pants, or even had a full blown psychotic episode.

Even a light smoker would tend to really like the NL1 though, or a heavy smoker or just about anybody, even though it had as much as 25% more THC than the NL5HZ, it was a smooth casual and fun, relaxing high. It was also very strong, but I have never seen anyone flip out on it.
It was the kind of shit you would love to have with you on a 1st date.

Speaking of Haze, that looks like some bomb shit right there.
Right on Doc.
Thanks for the pics the Maui looks choice as well.

Here's one of mine, a descendant of the Seedbank NL5Hz I was just discussing.

Well after a day of doing a lot of pollinating and crossing, I thought it might be a good thing to put up some pics of a Mullumbimby Madness bud.
A legendary strain that was made by some amazing breeder somewhere in the world:D, but we in Oz where the lucky ones to end up with it.
This is the one that after 1/4 of a mixed joint ( sacralige as far as I am concerned:D ) put a stop to a very heavy smoker and ledgend breeder.
Ah yes it did bring a smile to my face, to see that:D
This is going to be one of the main ingrediants to the Grail, it is also at this moment being crossed to some very special SSH phenos that are in the Garden.
The Oaxacan is going over the Mango Haze and Nev Haze for anyone interested.
As we know Shanti cut his teeth on a strain from the same area, I dont know if it was this one, maybe one day we will find out.
ok here are some pics

Beautiful bud shots Kangativa, they look great close up. Sure would be interesting to hear what you would say about Shantis line if you did get to try it someday.

Thats a nice lookin bud Kanga.

The Maui buds We got around Lahaina in 1977 were a different strain then I have now. The weed I remember was sweet some earthy spice, and an asian influence. There was a bit of Indica in it too I think (some body high) but it was mostly sativa dominant. The buds were thumb buds, but very strong.

The maui phenos I have now have a sharp haze like scent, not the Maui earthy spice I remember.
