heya biteme - yeah the la confidential in bean form I can't speak on since i've never grown it myself, but that afghani #1 cut still exists and it's amazing. I know Loompa is still around, he's a friend of a friend more or less but I've never spoken with him. He still posts grows on other websites to this day. Hell of a breeder...He's smart enough to stay offline for the most part and avoid the drama =)

the mota militia pretty mcuh disbanded after mota got in some legal trouble... he came back for a bit and worked with the breeder hazeman, but disappeared again. i was in touch with him a bit until recently. personal issues I think but he was a real nice guy.

a recent popular variety im not sure if its official is grand daddy purp which is been popular for the last 2 yrs cheap n colorful :D awwww FUL lol,i only smoke her when she is passed around not by choice .but her flavors (lemonish grapey) are similar to grape ape which has been reported to be the same cutting

the REAL purple kush from cali that everyone swears they have that made the name famous in from the early 80's was known to be held in the panther gap area of southern humbolt,the supposed origin was a vet's bring back who lived outside of petrolia.it was a staple in gaberville till 84 then no more .also purple kush has nothin to do with OG kush

when you say dna entered the cut as la con was this for there first win in 05 ,becaz i swear i havnt seen that pheno since soo that would make sense

I'll take pics of all of the uptown haze seedlings today. I'm seeing some phenos that don't look as much like a haze seedlings as the rest, so there's tons of diversity - that disturbs me some, but the source is pretty reliable. Those are all from the H-1... the H-2 beans I didn't get so many to crack, maybe 7-8/20, but there's more on the way of those to try to get some more. Those tend to be more uniform, very slow to crack, slow to grow and thing leaves, I'll take shots of those as well.

Ya the entry in 05 from DNA was the LA Affie - they juste renamed it to la confidential for clever marketting - worked well! Then when the beans came out, totally different from the original cut, they crossed something else in, maybe SFV OG since they're friends with little swindle. Not sure though, because if they crossed SFV in there it wouldn't be as crappy as its reported to be by 99% of the people who've grown here that I know.

It is said to have OG Kush in it, and tastes alot like it does. It is maybe thicker smoke.A touch of sweet afghan flavor. And Hits You like a freight train, every bong hit. I grew it from seed. I kept it as a mother. Several Bikers were requesting clones of it. Yeah, I would say it captures the essence of SFV. I must have got lucky. The one thing I dont like is that it is a shorter plant, but the buds are rock hard with purple stripes and smells like lemony citrus hash afghan.

These are the Hazes, thais, viets, and mixes. Got some nev haze, ssh, mango , Oxaca, panama, 20-30 strains in this run

 
LOL Where did Your post go? Nevilles HazeBand? LOL I think the Headband goes 65-70 days. Im at day 28 now. The Nevilles Haze plants are about 2 foot tall now, maybe more. Hopefully I can sex them and do it this run. If not, I have Headband clones going that can be added to the Haze run

Nevilles Kushaze Made from the the strongest Kush and the strongest Haze. Can You imagine the phenos? There wouldnt be any losers. It would put You on the floor, then put You on a trip

I am still looking for the quote.

I never smoked headband, but it sounds like a good cross to me.

If anybody has access to true malawi haze in seed form that could provide a missing piece to this "grail haze" quest, but only if Neville is allowing to work outside of the sativas that comprised the hazebros haze. Truly psychedelic strain, others have compared it to mushrooms. The holland version I had wasn't like that for me but it was strong. I hae a verrry high threshold for psychedelics though :)

If you don't mind my asking, what was the year and general location that you smoked this Malawi Haze?
 
Lol "gold" was what I meant to write, I dunno if anyone has ever sold it as "malawi haze". It was 2005/06 and my friends stash, like I said a holland strain. I hear the "real" malawi gold is available in abundance in malawi though!

You meant to write Malawi Gold? Not Haze? LOL, now that is some seriuos synchronicity right there. The only person I ever knew that did a malawi haze cross was, yours truly... heh heh
