Grail: The Ultimate Haze Hybrid

Yes Pataya is a place to holiday and lounge around, not really a place to look for a ganja grower.

ok that helps somewhat with the NH as the male.
does the female need to be pure Sativa?
if not you could certainly look in the obvious place.
I know of two really great smoking Haze hybrids that use it on the female side.
but you might not want to go that route.

OriginalHazeSkunk
ThaiHazeSkunk
as far as I know these are Haze Hybrids and not decended from A or C
and the OHS is damn fine smoke and almost pure sativa too.
La Nina is one also , I believe Shanti once said. the Female Haze not being related to A/C.

well that's all I could muster up.
Since we want to achieve a common goal,I thought Id mention those.
Hope no one gets offended.

How do you go about 'searching Australia' for a plant? Surely that's like finding a tiny needle in a giant haystack!

Best of luck - I suppose you need to get the word around..I see why you want to search Oz and not Thailand, though...if the seeds aren't in Thailand then you gotta start thinking about where they may have gone. Won't some have gone to neighbouring countries like Laos and Cambodia?

I've got a NH/Mango with liver and leather just dried upstairs..now I know where the smell comes from. My girlfriend hates it - I think it's divine!!

Are seeds legal in Australia? You could always put an advert in some hippy rag asking old growers to send you their seeds...as long as you don't allude to actually planting any in Australia then you might be OK...(it's just a thought.)

I'll bet there's 'a few' like the ones you seek in California and Canada - but how to find them??? I suppose you're looking for old hippy seed collectors...

Whatever way you find I'll put my hand up for helping you out any way I can (overwhelmingly likely to be just buying the eventual seeds and smoking the bud. :) )

I'll happily plant out my dusty old Thai seeds for you, if you like, (just on the off-chance) but I can't see me finding anything useful in there.

Take Care

If the is some good Original Haze/ Skunk out there, or any other Haze not from A or C,
I'd be delighted to look at it. The only source of Haze that's not from mine that I'd believe in would be Sam's or from that old crew in Santa Cruz. Good dope transcends personalities in my book.
N.
Ya its from Sam's seed line,
I just so happen to have a few extra, and they are fresh.
09 crop. F3 untested. F1's are available at a retailer
let me know.

Dude man dude!!! That Santa Cruz Haze is fire!!! The "Supreme Blue Dream" which is the Santa Cruz Crews Nepaleese Highland Haze (I was told) x Blueberry is in constant rotation in my garden. That is one crazy Haze brother! There are aromas of incense, spice, and fruit. Not like Sams tired cat piss armpit pheno at all. I'm sure theres some 55 year old dude livin in the bush somewhere who hasnt crossed his Thai to anything other then itself. Please
respond 55 year old dude, Nevil wants to work with you!!!

Australians, being very dedicated pot heads, are souring the continent, as we speak (write).
N.

I've provided your very own medicine to many an Australian traveller during my days in London (one whole family, over for their daughters wedding to a Londoner, smoked with the best of them)...you are right, they prove very dedicated pot heads! You've definitely got the right group on the case!!

I've had so many Skunk/hazes from so many companies over the years (it's my pet F1) but right now all I've got are just got yours and Shanti's...sorry :( . I actually found a few smaller companies efforts more than worthwhile, though..there is some good stuff out there, no doubt about that..

As I said, best of luck.

(completely out of context - I never saw a European bred Koi that came close to the Japanese ones...was I just looking in the wrong places? No matter now! That was one of my old lives, anyway...)

Does any one have a great clone of the F1, Scorpion?
N.
hmm not at this moment, i could grow out some and look .
this is one of the f2 females i used for some seed, she is a small version of the two females use to make the f3 seed.
http://www.mrnice.nl/forum/showthread.php?t=604 read my post #3...
very far from armpit/catpiss...more like
Thailand via my garden.
the f1 mom that started my interest was very heavy yield and Mango Fruit

Are Koi bred or spawned the way other fish are, strip the roe and milt and mixed to fertilize the eggs?
s

So Scorpion, the seed you have is made using MNS Afghan Haze as the father?
N.
no I have the f3 Original Haze Skunk seed.

I just used that small f2 OHS female to test an Afghan Haze male from some seed SB sent me...it was a good small batch to.
then I selected a F2 OHS male over two years of testing his progeny and last year I made this fresh F3 from Him and two large OHS F2 females just like the one in the picture.
maybe this winter i will grow out some of the f3. but my plan is to f3 the SkunkHazeC and the AfghanHazeC first so I have a while to go.
I am building my seed base for the future,as I see tough times ahead .
So Ive followed you and Shanti and sams work and I have found when done correctly and with patience...good things pop up.
Consistently

I won a catagory at the European show against Japanese koi, with a fish I'd bred for 2 generations. The judges were Japanese too.
N.

I KNEW IT!!

Damn and I didn't believe the rumours when I heard them at the time about your Koi business. I blame myself - I was in Holland a fair bit in those days, too. I should have checked it out further. I really miss my Koi.
I heard you were also a great sheep breeder. I suppose genetics are genetics and when you know your stuff...nothing beats working with the plant, though (for me, anyway..my other love is fruit trees..)
I have to say congrats on the win because those Japanese REALLY know their Koi. We never got the best of the continental stuff over in the UK anyway - we've got a few great Japanese outlets here, though.

Sorry - I've digressed. I blame this Neville's Haze/ Mango!

Ignore me everyone - back to the business of Haze....:o

Then testing the AfgTxHzC X OHxSK f2 will be the short cut to finding out if this line is worth pursuing. Let's not waste time, I could die at any moment.
N.
:D ROFLMAO!

well it ranks about an 8+ on the scorpion smoke test meter, what other test do we need to do?

Donald Mallard and moonunit are two Aussies on here who have a lot of old Oz sativa stock. They could be pm'ed for info. Three candidates as far as extra strong strains go are Vietnam black, 303 and Caribe - all of which are possessed by Kangativa. The most Shanti/Nevil like Haze smoke I've had in recent times is Mullumbimby Madness x White Widow (early 90s Sensi stock), bred by Kangativa. Sweet tasting, long lasting and trippy.

Tony Bowers from Mullaways Medical Cannabis often wins the Nimbin Cannabis Cup and may possess old school beauties.

Old Mother Sativa is an OZ strain said to have come from late 50s Thai stick - supposed to be very clear high & potent. Possessed by quite a few around the place - but may be hermi prone. Kanga has a line of Mullumbimby Madness possibly from early 70s Thai stick - not hermi prone.

Plenty of old heads live around Nimbin/ Mullumbimby & Kyogle who possess rare old sativa stock. People at the Hemp Bar in Nimbin may direct a famous breeder to where such treasures exist.

Of course many old heads in California may also possess rare sativa strains - but more likely sat-dom hybrids cos of inappropriate climate.

I believe the tripping weed from the 70s that Hempy referred to may have been Thai stick - my old man smoked some of this stuff and had all sorts of visual & auditory hallucinations - like seeing colours coming out of the speakers & when he awoke the next morning he was still tripping out.

Ethiopian Black is said to be the strongest herb on the planet (apart from the perhaps non-existent Colombian jungle creeper cannabis).

Tell me what was better than AfgTxHzC X OHxSK f2 and was it better than AfgHz?
N.
NO it was not better, but some plants were as good, just not the high numbers of plants% wise.
the AH male was an F1 so I did not expect alot of consistency ,yet.

a lot more interesting than my waffle, that's for sure!

Nev - try not to die any minute too soon...!!!

I'll leave you Aussie's to it ;)

I think from the seed lines I have now,the most progressive plants will come from the skunk hazeC and afghan hazeC combined in some mixed generation pairings.
quite a bummer for me that you were always sold out of the
Seed Bank skunk haze...I tried to order that from you on three occasions back then, always sold out... O well thats life.
Did you release the A haze hybrids back then ? or was just the C hybrids available?
I always felt that SkunkHaze was from the A male, because I saw a flower and leaf shot in only one catalog and never saw it again, but it was the dark green plant not the lighter color ones.

Hi mate no it was not like any Thia i ever saw or grew it was very different i grew and still grow Thia have seam and smoked lots of Thais that was different.

You know when i first posted the term Buddha i was pulled up and told never was Thia mj called it well it was called that and also called Thia

Yeah mate, the Thai was definitely called Buddha here - that's what Nev called it too - and then after awhile any good pot was called Buddha. So tell us what your Thai lines smoke like Hempy. How's it stack up to your famous Mango Haze, Queeny?

im well out of my debth here, never really followin the haze history like a lot of you guys, but bein from the uk i used to read uk420 where OT hangs, and i read a few things about his haze.

didnt he claim he was in the us in the 60's/70's workin with some of the guys in a collective there with the haze, then brought it back over here and been workin with it ever since?

didnt he claim it was different from nevs lines. been years since i logged in there so could be wrong.

ill shut my mouth now and get back under my rock.

Hi Nevil

If you were to use HzBros Haze but from sources other that yours I would suggest maybe looking into Tom Hills pure haze. All the reports over the years show Tom has found and made some special pure haze, his stock is from Positronics that came from Sam long ago and has been bred and kept pure for many years now..The reports are good to say the least..and there are some very special plants to be found here as I ve seen.Toms line has also purple phenos in it and interestingly some say its not pure as some plants do look more indica like in the looks but Tom said he never hybridized it and I believe him. You said 69/70 pure Haze might not be 100% pure , pure sativa , and this would explain maybe why Toms pureHaze line looks a bit like a hybrid.Anyway his line is something to consider in my humble opinion..

Now..Oldtimer's pure sativa line ( 'Ot1 Haze' ) from the Spanish crew Ace Seeds might be another option too and I see already mentioned above. I had the chance to try most of the best mothers and I can say lots of interesting expression are to be found in this colorful old sativa line that may (or may not) have to do something with the HzBros Haze , meaning they seem very similar genetics ( up to some point ) with the Haze as I know it from you and Shanti. The line is supposed to be from the 60s/70s and no matter Haze or not it has enough similarities to your Hazes and has also purple plants like the HzBros 70s haze. Dubi from ACE crew is a great fellow and is very passionate about working with pure sativas and sativa hybrids and is doing some nice preservation work as well. He also has some very nice Thais as he is working with them and Haze lately. I sent him a pm hope I can get him to register over here so he can share his thoughts with you too and tell us more about his Thai genetics (Meao Thai etc)..

Now Sam , worked his haze towards the sweet Thai side of things as he liked it more in the high , so Sam's haze and hybrids would also be another option like already you guys said.
