Over the years I aquired so many so-so quality seeds from seed companies and a few top notch. The seeds I got from Mr. Nice were very good. The seeds and clones I got from Humboldt were top notch. I expect that this years grow will be some of Californias best. People around here have started an Urban Legend about the Mango Haze/ LA confidential cross.( We did some indoor plants from last years crosses) The buds were unreal in quality.Any seed company would be proud to carry them. The LOGO was, "these buds will mangle Yuh", And it was no bullshit. The flavor........ The High...... Haze flavors and Haze High with a Kush after kick. Smooth, Sweet, exotic,long lasting, totally different, Expanding.

Thanks Deran, i was gonna say Bhang Chocolate Bars would be new... there are some very old Manuscripts from India speaking of Bhang the drink.... 1000 BCiish... some later ones in the late 17th century as well.

I'd give it a whorl =D

Animal attack

:(We had a set back. Some nights ago, an animal came into the orchard scaled a fenced in area and flipped the seedling tray completely upside down, We believe it was a Racoon, as night before last my pond was struck and all Koi are gone. The seedlings were all damaged with kinked stems, and most Maui/ 590 Kush were dead. Some Panama crosses were dead as well. Fortunately all Nevilles crosses made it even though they had kinked stems. They have been recuperating insite the chain link fence in the Carrot garden in part shade. I will probably transplant them tomorrow. Stems look ok now.
 
Carrot garden

The plants are hiding and recuperating in here. These are purple, yellow white and Orange carrots. They are doing very well this year. I also have over 20 different tomato varieties going this year including many Heirloom types. They are all doing great.
 
Hey Doc, sorry to hear about your set back but I am still looking forward to what you will be growing this year. I have Carrot seedlings, only 3 of 12 germinated and I think only 2 will make it. I also started 20 Rainbow Dreaming and they all germinated and are doing well. So I guess this will be a RD year, lol!
I am waiting on Neville's Haze to arrive and will probably germ some for summer even if it is late. I don't have any more #5/Hz or Mango Hz sorry to say. I did have an Acapulco Gold but I gave it away but will probably get a cut back. It came from seed from the 70s which I thought was cool.

This one popped up on its own. I potted it later. From where it came up and the way it appears I would say its Mom was LA conf, and its Dad was Blue Crush pack 590( Humboldt Orange Crush x Old Lavender x LS1 unknown Humboldt Blue)

 
Very nice recovery, Doc!! Great genes tend to do that, lol! I am so glad you are back and posting, and I can't wait to see how these come out!

I'm making some butter today from 128 grams of donated popcorn bud and trim. :) I love good friends!! Now I've just got to decide how much per lb of butter :D
 
Grail

My son and I were just speaking to Nevil. He gave me insight on each cross we have and informed me on flower time for each cross. He also addressed each Nevilles male used and what length of flowering time and highs we should be expecting from these crosses. After this discussion, we realised, that some should go into pots to finish indoor in tents if the weather doesnt allow them to finish properly to our highest standards.

I cant remember if I had any male Panamas, I may have. I just checked my pollen collection in the freezer and dont see any representations there.I did empty several vials last year.
The female I used was absolutely awesome! I think we pollenated select branches with everything we had, ie, Mango haze, Nevilles Haze, Maui Wowi, BlueCrush pack 590, Viet Black,etc. I think I selected about 20 males last year to save as pollenators, and cant remember if a Panama was among them. We made so many crosses last year, its unreal. Even my son was impressed with what I did last year, and he is hard to impress. I was absolutely impressed with his plants and crosses he made as well. We had a great year last year. Here is a pic of the female Panama I made most of the crosses with last season. Her buds were outrageously sweet and super super strong. Wonderful flavor! One hit weed. The kind that , you make sure you are in a safe place in a chair before you take a bong hit. I still have some buds in a jar upstairs, although my older son attacks that jar everytime he comes down from Humboldt.

I find this post odd DR P yes Nev was made a targeted by some but so were others from with in this site and community ,They were also publicly targeted by quiet a few members and some i suspect you call friends and you all sat back and allowed it to become what it is now thats the truth.

I find it an insult you only care about Neville here and not your other brothers or sisters from with in this community that were also victims of the attacks that took place and still take place in here by a small group.
