so it looks like the grail will likely be made up of nhz, mm, kariba, and oaxacan.
very interesting. thanks for the info bushweed.

Well done jack, get us back on topic...

Not surprised the Karibe is being used, the reports on that strain back when African Seeds was still around were all highly positive and said it had an amazing high and taste.

I'm keen to see more of the Oaxacan, Mexicans always interest me and this one particularly as it sounds quite different to the ones I've grown.

MM, well La Nina is great so if the MM Nev and Kanga have is related to Shanti's that bodes well too...

All in all, things are sounding very intersting, as jack says.

As for your critisism of 'breeders', I'd like you to quote any instances where I have applied that tag to myself, I'm just a grower who likes to grow unusual and rare heirlooms and cross em...

Never ceases to amaze me what a lot of crap flies around this place.

I'll be waiting for the thread to return to the subject of the Grail, the rest is just bollocks...

It's not fair to play off the last page or so as 'crap' when you quite literally requested it. I think it's cool to let bygones be bygones, but when you say stuff like in that first quote, it's more of a 'rewriting history' type of vibe than a 'water under the bridge' vibe.

My point exactly ESS! ;)

Gotta luv those breeder facilities LOL.

Just when the thread was back on track, you had to start again !! Your like a dog with a bone. If you don't agree with B_H then discuss it like an adult, if you can't do that then I'd suggest you don't bother posting anything. I'm so fed up trying to read threads that keep getting derailed by people arguing, it's bloody annoying & makes it harder to keep track of what was being discussed in the first place.

I've no problem with you mate, but your constant harassment of B_H is annoying. You know what, In the UK land is at a premium & houses are smaller than what you can get for the same money in Australia or the US. We don't have wide open spaces that we can stick industrial greenhouses on, well we can but it's a right pain in the arse.

I'm not sure where you are FreshGenetics, but Id like to see you come over to the UK & start a breeding facility !!

As always.....I really don't care if you tell me to Fuck off, it's like water off a ducks back to me. I'm just making an observation & saying things as they are. It would be nice to click on a thread to read about the topic in question & not see shit slinging.

Peace

The Scoop on BH is quite clear we all know the truth ,if it makes anyone feel better start a thread or somthing ,But lets get back to topic

Nev had a sample of Colombian he was enthusiastic about when I saw him last. Unfortunately it didn't get smoked as a fresh sample of MulluM was being tested. That sample from the big tree Kanga calls the beast was still wet and yet, despite not having the 3 month cure that is prescribed as a minimum, Nev was red eyed and very high and described the effect as electric. The boys were very excited by this (Kanga was especially speechless after just 3 tokes And Nev having smoked a bit more, kept asking, "Are you sure you've got the cuttings from this?"

Nev is currently focused on crossing the long flowering NHz with MM, and the short flowering NHz with Kariba. Then its a question of how to integrate the beautiful flavor and mood enhancing effect of the Oaxacan

The update is most appreciated ,some great details keep emm coming

Im excited things are moving along an Nevil is in his element ,It reminds me when Nevil posted sayin in other words sayin how this project was more of a personal thing than somthin to fulfill the neeeds of commeericial growers that gets me excited. The above crosses mentioned sound Perfect

With that in mind im curious if you can answer a few questions .

The Oaxacan if i recall was sweet ? Are the above crosses planned to be crossed to the oaxacan ?

Is the sweet flavor the path that Nevil is lookin to intergrate in this project Or a ride on the INCENSE express ?

Becaz the NH n Kariba sounds like a Dream cross ,Frankincense spice an everthings Nice .Perfect as is .Aswell id love to See the MM NH pure caz if i understand the MM to was reported to have abit of incense aswell combined with the long flowering Extreme haze pheno of NH should be another incense bomb but fattened up from that monster MM.

Now that CG which is known for frankincense ,Got my interest aswell what is the plan for that ?

Caz id love to see the Colombian Gold crossed to a NH than crossed to that Kariba surprise .That would be the Grail IMHO from what i can see threw my window

I know Nevil reads the board but once again send him our Best Vibez on the project an i hope he reads this post

Bubs must be joking...lol

C"mon 80% of the time it is your b_h who open the hostilities by insulting other members.

I believe not one other member posted as much insults as b_h on the present forum.

Time to get real...

G`day RF

Hmm I just had a look at Mr Beanho`s catalogue very interesting indeed .

I like the guy`s attitude ,and his seeds are reasonably priced . although further down that same page I got a sour taste in my mouth when I saw White Widow Fems from Dutch Passion for $320 US WTF !!Or how about a 10 pack of Blue Berry Fems for $334 ??
Some thieves use a gun .....
Thanks for sharin
Elmer Bud .

Hi Elmer, thats about the best value in the market now. I think that their prices are based on what they have to pay to get them. I don't believe seeds are sold on consignment Either way, who the hell buys Dutch Passion? I really don't think that they could give them away. That's just my opinion.

Thanks for commenting on my post!

Guess I am learning a lesson about sticking my nose in other people's conflict.
Wow . . .
I am gonna keep my mouth shut on interpersonal stuff from here on out.
I admit I don't know and probably don't want to know everything that has gone down between you guys. I do have respect for all of you though.

Dr. Purpur, have you got some beautiful buds to show us to take the stink off this thread? You have saved it so many times already ;)
Bushweed, more updates from down under maybe?
There are now around 3 pages of personal conflict since the last Grail related post :(

That sample from the big tree Kanga calls the beast was still wet and yet, despite not having the 3 month cure that is prescribed as a minimum, Nev was red eyed and very high and described the effect as electric. The boys were very excited by this (Kanga was especially speechless after just 3 tokes:D And Nev having smoked a bit more, kept asking, "Are you sure you've got the cuttings from this?":D

For my part I have smoked some of Kanga's 15 foot MNS Nevil's haze and wasn't disappointed. I can clearly see the similarity with the MM that Nev describes, for while the smell is different (not as sweet as MM) the taste is almost identical and the effect is of the same intensity. There are however, some differences. The NH seems to animate the tester from within and propels the consciousness into the stratosphere - if I could say the Oaxacan puts the smoker right into their heart chakra - the Haze pushes one right up into the crown chakra and illuminates everything below. The MulluM on the other hand seems to illuminate everything outside of the smoker and invests the surroundings with a divine luminescence. As such I would say the MM is more trippy, more visually distorting than the NHz, while the NHz is a more soaring, esoteric high.

In the ancient Indian philosophy of Vedanta, two of the philosophical pillars are: I am God and: Everything is God. For me Nev's Haze confirms the first pillar, and Kanga's MM the second:) Both are very cerebral, yet mentally devastating in quantity, with absolutely no ceiling.

Nev is currently focused on crossing the long flowering NHz with MM, and the short flowering NHz with Kariba. Then its a question of how to integrate the beautiful flavor and mood enhancing effect of the Oaxacan.

A lot of strains are still being tested and crossed, but few have impressed like the ones mentioned. Nev says a lot of strains when first smoked give a semblance of that old 5Hz high, but drop off after half an hour whereas the good stuff keeps you up there for hours. While the boys didn't like the smell of the Purple Mexi Thai - they certainly enjoyed the effect, and Nev was particularly interested in sourcing the Mexican in that cross (of which 15 seeds exist), because it reminded him of the Mexican he loved and lost in the eighties. And then crossing that to Kanga's Oaxacan (in the same way as crossing NHz to MM) to strengthen and ameliorate the existing elements in both.

If you didn't know who Nev was and you saw him in his new environment, you wouldn't look twice; so seamlessly does he fit into the local milieu of rustic bohemian misfits. But spend some time with him and you realize the guy has one focus to which all other concerns are secondary - what's the best dope in the world - and how can I make it better?

Like a pair of pigs rolling in shit - those boys:D

Thanks for the Updates Bushweed.

Sounds Awesome!

I am feeling your Vedantic analagy about Nevil's Haze, the analogy applies to my 5hz hybrids as well.

I like to call it, Satori, or enlightenment, in a bag.

The MM sounds amazing, More trippy? my mouth is watering.

Who is the breeder for "Kariba"?
All I can find is the strain from Cannabiogen called Caribe which they say is Jamaica x Jamaica/NL5/Haze.

Lol :)

What do you mean "My B_H" ?

Is this a US against the UK or something ? I take your point that it's not totally one sided & that there seems to be a dislike from certain members towards others. I'm not sure why the animosity all started or when, but it seems to spill over into every topic when one or another posts. People should put previous arguments behind them & understand that sometimes they'll disagree with each other.

We can't all agree but we can make an effort to get along & understand that it's possible to have a debate without being personal. I think that's where most of the problem lies, some people have been arguing with each other for so long that they don't know what they're arguing aout any more.

As for me, I don't take sides or get involved in other peoples shit, all i want is for people to stop arguing.

Peace

It was by the now definct African Seed Co and was called 'Kariba Surprise' it's an African landrace/heirloom.

Breeder's original description:

The sun sets over the mighty Zambezi river,a fish eagle dips majestically over the water, a herd of buffalo join the elephants to drink. In the distance a lion roars (roar!).Here in one of Africa's last edens live the Batuka people. Untouched by other civilizations, uninfluenced by government, they have continued their culture of growing and smoking for many centuries. The plants from this area are very heavily branched and when finished flowering they produce very tall, long red and white haired buds up to 2 ft long. High T.H.C, C.B.D. absent. Energetic, electric high!!, the plant prefers hot outdoor conditions with plenty of water, very mold resistant.

It was by the now definct African Seed Co and was called 'Kariba Surprise' it's an African landrace/heirloom.Breeder's original description:

It's a shame that African Seed Co stopped producing, they had some really nice strains. Afropips sort of took over where they left off but from what I can see they're all out of stock/discontinued, no idea why. I always get "Kariba surprise" mixed up with "Caribe" by CBG/Cannabiogen, don't know why because they're totally different, suppose it's just the name..

To me Pure African landrace seeds are really interesting, I'm surprised more people don't breed with them, it can only be a good thing crossing African genetics with other known top shelf strains.

Edit

Easy :D

Tell b_h that he should stop insulting the others...

I bet if that was the case that the forum would be way more peaceful.

All Cool mate :)

You tell him, I'm not his keeper :p

I'm just waiting for the smoke reports from Nev, it's only the work he and Kanga are doing that makes all the hatred and bullshit tolerable.

I'm very interested in the cross of the faster MM and Kariba, a Haze-y type practical under lights has long been a goal and to my ears, that could be just what indoor sat lovers have been waiting for...
