G13 x Afghan Skunk - Let the games begin

High-mish

2021 COE Winner
Just starting this thread to give myself some extra pressure to start this grow before the end of August.
I'm turning an unused bathroom into a small veg room and the room I used as an office until recently, will be turned into a flower room. I'll need another week to get it all done but will start germinating all 18 seeds early next week. In the course of September the CBD Tangerine Cookie and Northern Widow will start as well.

G1d willing, next update next week Friday.
Wishing y'all a good weekend.

Funny! I was actually listening to the theme song from the 1978 hit - 'Debbie Does Dallas' with Bambi Woods!

"Oooh!
Oooh!
Oooh!
Mr. Greenfield!"

A very funky song that sounds like it came straight from a blaxploitation film of the time. The theme song is a family friendly instrumental easily found on YT or my MP3 player!

Yes, but certainly not your last! ;) Maybe all this porn talk will get High-mish motivated to start his "sex on a stick'' plants! Come on now, High-mish! A little less 'chokin' the chicken' and a little more 'plantin' the pickens'! :)
Looking forward to your G13 x Afghan Skunk grow!

No concrete update yet but by now, I got all the things I need to start the germination process. I bought a manual ph test-kit (those strips). The tap water in our town is taken from a local spring/well, I haven't checked/adjusted the ph until now as I was growing organically but I will start checking from now on, just to be sure. My plan is to make a bleach/kelp/water mix to soak the seeds in and then water the containers with that mix after the seeds have cracked. I still have some things to take care of but germination should start mid-next week.

are you serious javel ?

only rain water for me

Yeah, I've heard of that.

...If you saturate the pots with water, and especially if you continue to saturate the pots after the seed have sprouted, the seedlings may develop stem rot or root problems...
...The key to germination is to keep the soil surface moist after first having moistened the whole pot; then, after the first sprouts have been up for a few days, let the surface of the soil dry between waterings...
...Start the seeds in wet paper towels or a glass of water. Add one teaspoon of liquid bleach (a three-percent solution) to each cup of water. This will prevent fungus from attacking the seeds, which happens when they are soaked for more than three days...

Can't wait to see. I'll be starting some more mns strains as well. Still trying to decide hahahaha seeing all the strains in the latest grows @musashi has posted got me thinking some rock and roll series . Already tried the u2. Pink Floyd or the doors are next. Or maybe some critical haze widow. May have some more beans of those. Lol

i have more this problem with the clone sometimes the roots are developed but the leaves rot

I'm only going to use the bleach/kelp/water concoction during the seedling stage. I've been using filtered (dechlorinated) water ever since I started growing bagseed-weed in "dirt from the street" so was a bit reluctant to use this mix but an experienced grower advised me to do so and I'm going to give it a try...

Bleach is fine.

Nuclear option for some though.

I use (sometimes) silver bullet.

White roots be fucked.

It's a peroxide and colloidal silver mix.
I use it mostly when I run hydro. Good but expensive. 🤷‍♂️ Well it's low ml to litre so maybe not. 2-8ml - 10 litre.

Peat rich soil can also have the same effect on seeds.

Get black stems and die. Only difference between that and stem rot being it's going of colour.
