Yo, I LOVE the spring. It's drizzly and chilly. It's like the animals stop and the plants start when it is drizzling and cooler. It is a very cool sensation after seeing nothing but BROWN since Nov 1. Living somewhere with a relatively short growing season DOES make me appreciate any weather that isn't NASTY. For me under 20 degrees (~-8c) is NASTY. Layers suck. Except for soft undies. That's a cool layer. Or a tshirt and a sweatshirt... But FUKKAJAKKIT.
I'll be a champ with:
1oz/gallon of soil
40+ out.
Rotations of 20 every 20 days.
To get there, I need to:
*Effectively veg plants before they go into Bloom Boom. These FreeB's are firesmoke, but tiny. Every plant that comes out before the big LN (freeb's, devils, JiC's, LN #'s 2 and 3) will be an under performer at least partly due to a shitty veg. No real root mass going into flower only compounded the effects from me overwatering.
*Get back to 90%+ with my cuts. I was killing clones all winter, and even the ~25 that I just took out of the trays took 36 cuts to get there. I need to get a heat mat and a taller dome for my clone tray. Some of the cuts that are stunted, and some of the ones that I pulled were bumping up against the dome lid, and went all sloggy on me.
*Make a lil investment in Bloom Boom. I need to up the light intensity. Growing with a 16 month old CMH, and three $15 400w hps' strapped to 3 homemade reflectors, and 1 $30 reflector in a room that is enclosed only on 3 sides is giving up a lot of light. I need to see where I am after I start to chop some. Bloom boom could get just the 200 for new bulbs, or 500 for bulbs and hoods, or 1k for bulbs, hoods, filter replacement, and fanspeed/temp control, or I could look to start with the 800w flip flop and the movers...
*And get mad plants out. If I call seedplants and large clone 1/2's, and 'just rooted' cuts 1/4's, I have to get 30 large plants out and 100 cuts. Hmmmm... sounds like ~4-5 locations of 4-5 spots each...
*Learn to watch more, and do less indoors, and do more and watch less outdoors.
But yeah, We'll see what's up ~Julyish. Right now I have:
Bloom boom filled, and looking at a lil bit to come out in ~20 days (and ~20 days after that MAY work, due to the different seedplants I have going on.)
Veg room loaded, clone tray loaded, veg box hummin.
Better than 50% clone success, and the ability to take up to 48 at a clip! (think positive, lol)
~10 large plants ready to go, and the other 20 are accounted for (unless like 50% of the rooted clones stunt, and 50% of the new cuts root...).
The plants, clone trays and dirt ready to take the 100 when I get the taller domes.
Playoffs, good bud, and a drizzly spring day. 99 problems. ;^)
