Yeah, I went uptown to get some blockwork, and it just wasn't happenin. I had a dog going up the block to get a coconut icey, and saw moves bieng made, but when I was walking back down the block, NO-ONE was out. Some dood started a convo in spanish with me about the dog, but nobody out I couldn't spend all day up there, so I bounced and fired up the Shit A that I brought with me

NYC is amazing. I don't mean times square, or the west side of the park, or any of the other places that you go where the majority of the people there aren't from the city. It's a zoo. When I first got into the city yesterday, I went up to the cloisters and Ft Tryon park. It's thick woodlands that sit ~200' over a giant river (hudson), with 100+y/o 'castle-type' arcitecture. The cloisters is the Met Museum 'midevial' section. Not at all over-crowded, and LOTS of girlies out Yesterday, I had shit to do, so I couldn't really just 'hang out', but I will be going back later in the summer just to do the 'non-tourist' stuff. My stepfather was born and raised in the Bx, so he showed me the 'real city' when I was a kid. S&S Cheesecake, anyone???

I'm also eyeballing a trip down the shore once the water heats up a lil This weekend will be close to home, but if it's nice out, I may have a dog party at the lil river nearby (pix of course, lol )

Looks like ~10 of 12 Spice x SSH are females, so I'm gonna bump up chop day almost a week to give them some room. Call day 1 of flower 6/21. The 1 confirmed male is a nice plant, but I want to see if he has the stink that I'm looking for. So far, he is not really displaying any of the tendencies that seem to lead to the 'stank' females (ribbed meristem, coloration on the top of the fan stems, stinky stink, etc...), but none of the plants really are. I think that they were just VERY happy to spend the first 4 weeks of life in the early-summer sun. I'll grab pics this weekend when I chop/repot.

Shit A is firesmoke. citrusberry/bakedgood/fuel smoke, and fueley skunk smelling dried nug. The smell is the tell. Another cut that clearly out stunk her sisters as a young veg plant smoking like fire. SSH, SuperSpice, and now Shit. Stronger smelling veg plants smoke stronger in the end, IME.

Sour D is like orange D, but not. The smoke is a lil fruitier, and a lil less indy expressive, but it has the same quality of smelling like some hay/grass/notgoodweed until 2-3 days after bone dry. Then it stinks in a good way. Stinky skunky lemony. Smokes good, not great so far.

Shit B cut coming down for headsmoke in 2 days. So far, it looks a lot like the A from clone, but fills out a lil more evenly, and smells a lil 'generic sweeter'. Shit C will be coming down on chop, but only a lil should end up as head smoke. She looks much more sativa expressive, but the buds are finishing up quite quickly.

Nice! I guess you're using the "add 3 hours at the front, and 6 at the back" darkness method I read of somewhere else in here? 28 hour 'days' seem a little weird.
Induced budding is really the thing I envy indoor growers; doing it outdoors seems like too much of a hassle (though wait til late summer here, or until I lose a crop or two...)

Lol, the only city with an $8 cover charge I think I mixed you up a lil with the '6/21' remark I count 'days of flower' from the first day that a seedplant shows sex in bloom (12/12), and June 21st was ~when these showed I will take a whack at forcing a few 12 week ssh cuts outside this summer, though.

The Spice x SSH seedplants are spllit into 2 groups of 6 after they all vegged ~4 weeks in the sun in beer cups on my deck. The largest 6 got put into bloom in their cups, and the smaller 6 got repotted. 4 of the smaller 6 got soil 2l's, and the other 2 got ~2l hempy's. After 2-3 days, I repotted the cups ('larger group', now inside in 12hr bloom-boom) into 3.4l soil sq's. ~2-3 days later I brought the 'other' group into bloom in their 2l's. Today I repotted the 2l's, and chopped the male way back.

G1 (g/sk f2 #1female) cuts in the 2l's, I'm running her out. I'm not looking for a 12 week anything cut right now, but I like the smoke and size of her. Weak SSH cuts and nice MKaze #2 cuts going into veg. The male got his top chopped, and all but 2 growth shewts pulled.

I'm planning on repotting the other 6 (all girls) into bags this weekend, so I'll get pix up then.

Yeah, they were on pretty much straight water in straight perlite for a while. They had the beer cup's worth of soil in there, but both hempy's were hungry. I'm anal about wasting nutes that I spent money on, and I have heard the question 'does N make for more males...?' so not much pee, and prolly no bottles for the unsexed seedplants. They got repotted with plant success, ~1l of homemade castings worked into the perlite, and fed ~15ml/gallon of age-old bloom today. The feed schedule for the next ~3 weeks will be pee and PBP soil (8oz and 15ml per gallon, respectively) with a few shots of protekt silicone. After the stretch is completeley over, I'll drop the pee, and 2weeks before chop, I start straight water.

EDIT - Those were the 2 smallest plants of the group, that's why I went with them in the hempy's. The hempy on the left was stunted/runted for the first ~2weeks, but they were both bone dry and hungry today

I've seen ~2 dozen females so far, and I've run a halfadozen from clone. This female ratio is payback for my 5 fer ~20 from the spring It figgures that I was looking to select a clone that run, and looking to get a stud male this round . Anywhoo, the parents are not in this thread, lol. There is a thread in the Spice section with a few shots of the mom, and a few shots of the dad in veg/early flower. Mom was a delicious skunky, chocolatey, incensy, lemony, burnt rubber flavor fest with a very happy, mellow high. Dad was a 'normal' ssh in veg, but STUNK of dry-haze in flower. So far, this is my favorite of the 20 or so crosses that I've run.

Here are some dry shots of the female I selected last summer/fall.

That is a lower from the soil 2 gallon pictured a few days ago. ~60 days. Catpiss mango/tangerene skunk, and resin for days. Un-rollable unless bone ass dry.

Here are the SuperSpice (cuts) that I cropped a few weeks back. I burnt them ~6 full weeks, but they got a nice long water/water+molasses flush. Prolly looking @30-35g avg as opposed to the 40-50 that I 'should' have gotten.

Last LaNina in the bag, Shit B in the 2l. Headsmoke.

Well, summer's here, and so are the mites. I'm not really concerned, though. I went balls out with the neem/kelp/cocowet today, spraying over a gallon, but not really wiping the leaves. I'll do half-assed sprays in 2 days, and again 2 days after that. I'm just looking to knock down the #'s till my ladybugs get here.

Then sprayed the hell outta bloom.

I got the mites from bringing outdoor plants inside, but I'm not giving up my outdoor veg action. Fat ass roots in June = fat ass stalks in July = fat ass buds in August = fat ass wad from August till Nov, lol. The lady bugs will be more than happy to eat any baddie bugs that I bring in

What's good, Eddo I have to make a few trips out to the bush this week, so I'll try to remember to bring the cam. I only have 4 nice sized plants out, and have ~3 more big 'uns that I can put out, and handfull of outdoor vegged cuts. I'm gonna try to force a patch of my SSH cut starting ~August 1.

Nice, i was thinking about starting to force what i have now just becasue i've been pretty dry and would like to have some early smoke but covering/uncovering everyday a specific times is a pain in the ass.

yeah for real. i got down about 5 inches and there were just boulders so i guess ima have to stick with containers up here. haha. can't wait to get my own place though, shit will be getting done then!

Eddo Yo, I'm gonna put some cuts under 24hrs for a few weeks, then get em out the 1st week of August. I'm losing a measurable amount of daylight at that point, so I'm hoping that they finish. Even if they don't, I don't mind droppin 10 bux for a gallon of iso I'll be forcing one in my garden by covering her every night , starting ~6pm, and uncovering after dark.

Deck veggin. The nursery gallons are ssh. They are the plants that I'll be playing with outside. I pulled them too early after taking the cuts, so they went a lil wacky. They are rooted, and should get going any day now. The lil squares are MKaze cuts that may go outside, and the 2 red cups are the Shit male.

Red arrow - SuperSpice mom; Blue arrow - Shit 'dad'; Green arrow - SSH mom; Orange arrow - MKaze #1 mom.

12 in the tray are SSH, and the big piece is 'scrap' from a round of MKaze cuts that is very happy where she is. Straight perlite (ssh, lol), water, and the occasional splash of vitamin P.

Blue cups are Shit C, Master Kaze #1 in a 4" sq, and the aforementioned round of MKaze1 cuts.

Some Aloe that I'm trying to get cuts of. Fukk vermiculite, lol. AGAIN, so not really lol.

Sunflower in a 2gallon, and the lemon balm behind it has been in that 1 gallon for over a year. The tomato that is growing out of the topdressed castings has given up ~a dozen cuts, and is prolly 6 months old. Lol, how is your rootbound???

Dank you verry much, Eddo! Shit A is nicknamed 'DankenBerry' for now, and the quick ShitStorm (shitsquall?? ) is VERY CLOSE to my (now deceased) ssh #5 cut. The plant structure, budstructure, and smell/flavor/effect were all very close. The ShitStorm WAS a seedplant, and the SSH cut was a lil chunkier and hazy smelling.

SuperLolo's in the red cups. Spicy mudds still in the starter trays, some MKaze #1 cuts in sq's, and the mom's/cuts. I cut back the rootball and repotted my 2 gallon SSH mom (creeping on ~16mo old), and she loved it.
