Fem seeds and there impact on the future of the species known as cannabis.

Ok now it seems to me we are at the point of.
Expression of male flowers is switching off production of or negating the effects of ethylene (which causes the expression of female flowers).
It seems MADC is the marking/i.d of the protein coding dna responsible for the mechanical/ physical production of ethylene, although the id of MADC would have to be able to show it in its off position in this scenario. Or it could be the id of the protein coding dna responsible for the mechanical/physical means of negating the effects of ethylene.
I will get to my point now though lol, i have bounced the idea off a few, but newer research into non coding or junk dna has produced hypothesis that it has much more effects than previously thought, including , and this is the part that might be interesting to look into, is that the non coding dna has regulatory roles amongst many other things, including turning on and off protein coding dna, like the one responsible for ethylene suppression/negation as marked MADC.
It is thought that the ratio of protein coding to non protein coding dna could be responsible for humans rapid adaptation that allowed such physicaly vunerable animals as us rise to the top of the food chain so quickly. we have the largest ammount of non coding or "junk" dna than any other organism we have found and tested yet, roughly 98%.
I wonder how much cannabis has?
I wonder what it does?

I could be way off but i just wanted to put this one out there, to bounce it off the right minds and see if it has any bering to the current discussion.
Again much respect to all

And abit more

Various important roles of "Junk DNA" have been discovered in recent years.

In June 2004 a team at Harvard Medical School (HMS) reported, that they have, in a yeast, found a "Junk DNA" gene that regulates the activity of nearby genes. While common genes work by giving rise to proteins, this gene works by just being switched on. Then it blocks the activity of an adjacent gene.
Quote: "In a region of DNA long considered a genetic wasteland, HMS researchers have discovered a new class of gene."... "The researchers have evidence that the new gene, SRG1, works by physically blocking transcription of the adjacent gene, SER3. They found that transcription of SRG1 prevents the binding of a critical piece of SER3's transcriptional machinery." Source: "Junk DNA Yields New Kind of Gene", Focus, Harvard Medical School, June 4 2004.

Hi all,
I find the most recent attempts by the Stoner-gate community to hide behind a veil of scientific fact in relation to this thread most amusing, as Shanti and others have pointed out, research in regards to the feminization of cannabis and its dangers/impact on the future of the species (you know, the topic of this thread) are few and far between. Instead I see the fem central crowd picking side topics, attempting to cloud the conversation with distantly related sub-topics and attempting to cuddle those sub-topics in with poorly orchestrated attempts to puff their chest out, hands on their hips, and act as if they are know it all, experts.

Some of you are quite fond at telling others their opinions are wrong, while attempting to tell us how much of an expert you are (lol), requesting others show their work, while you, yourselves, do not show your own work lol. There are very few posters in this thread who have been on these forums as long as I have, so I do find it humorous how many of you from the Stoner-gate community/fem central crowd take the position(s) of authority that you do.

I've often considered what some of your motives are for taking the thread off topic, and some information has recently came to light that explains quite a bit. Some of you are clearly in the thread to hype/defend your own products up, future or present, while others may have more sinister reasons for being here. I frankly do not care, as I have my own opinions on the matter at hand, which many of you find quite hard to stay on topic about (no surprise) and I definitely do not feel the feminization process is a positive thing for the cannabis plant or its future, no matter how you want to spin your involvement(s) in such practices.

There are some very negative Nancy's in this thread, who bring little on topic, yet insist on being as rude as possible all the while crying wolf when others challenge your opinions. And they are just that, opinions, not facts! Theories, sub-topics to the original intent of the thread, yet that does not stop some of you from presenting these positions as fact and using semi psycho reasoning to argue your authority on the subjects lol. I personally have no issue with ringing some of you out, and hanging you on my line to dry. But Ive been asked not to sink my teeth in you, thus why I'm not singling anyone out in particular, though if we were anywhere else, you would not have such friendly moderators here whom I respect to save your lilly white behinds. If these words hit home to some of you, perhaps you feel guilty about your own actions to the point they hit on target?

So rounding the corner from sub topics, and theories, presented as fact in an effort to try to establish authority on a subject which has little true documentation to support your positions, lets get back on topic! The feminization trend, which is so largely popular among today's seed banks poses a threat to the species of cannabis. Now if you disagree, lets hear why in a reasonable manner with legitimate sources to defend your positions.

With such little evidence to support the positives of this process, especially in regards to the prevalent nature of the trend in relation to today's reality, it seems very dangerous to play with something on the scale that is being marketed to the consumer base that may lead to loss of vigor, sterility etc. And for what? Enhancement of your bank accounts? At the expense of quality and the future of the plant? Its not rocket science to select good females from traditionally bred seed, based on the quality, original genetics and then clone those selected specimens until the cows come home. How often were you, or any of us, reminded of how taking short cuts leads to less than stellar work? And thats exactly what these "breeders" are offering the public, short cuts, presented as "elite" plants, selected from large numbers (lol, yeah...) which are allegedly superior products which is of course used to justify the often times ridiculous prices most charge for these inferior lines of feminized seeds.

Below are pictures that many of those of fem central/Stoner-gate simply do not want to focus on, and try their best to bump out of que with their sub topics, which are off topic. They are hempys own experiments which speak volumes about what is being pushed on today's market to thousands of customers around the globe on a daily basis. This process has occured for years now, and to consider the impact on the overall pool by people who have perpetuated their feminized seed is truly bothersome to say the least.

Ask yourself, which plants would you rather have? Which plants would you rather select and work with for the next season?

The Mr. Nice F1 Mango Haze. A line I highly recommend to anyone on this or any other forum for that matter. Though there are some of you I feel are not worthy to work with such a quality line.
mangohaze.jpg

Below is the F2 seed, from the F1 Mango Haze pictured above, which could be made by any of us who did similar selection work.
f2.jpg

And of course, the feminized version from the F1 Mango Haze, originally pictured above. Notice the lack of vigor, the extreme difference from the above pictured specimens? Do you want to use these plants to perpetuate the line for next season? I dont, and would not! Do you want to pay more, for this inferior product? Hell no, is my answer to that! And this is what so many of the Stoner-gate community are attempting to defend! To fill their pockets, at your expense, at the plants expense! How many feminized clones do you think are available at the local dispensary? That you, and stoner Joe and Bob, will unknowingly acquire and use to further spread such trash to others? Now consider how far and wide such practices have become and will become as the movement moves forward! Frightening!

Jesse, can i have your adress and a period when you won't be at home? :) Those just looks absolutely ridiculously utterly and totally bonkers!! Never seena nything quite like those to be honest, what were the veg times on that F1 and F2? Looks like the branch of the F2 growing into the light, well looks like that's more than some of my whole plants have yileded :D

I fully agree about the shortcuts and playing to your bank account, near all folk startig to grow seem to be introducing themselves with "what has the biggest yield" etc, it is literally about the cash return, and to hell with the quality.

I also agree on the part about taking the time to chose your own parents from regular seeds, i'd love to have the ability and space to grow out pheno's and take a seletion, it's in the end goal somewhere, but alas i have to work with fem seeds for the time being until i get a touch more space or a lot more organised. I have to say that i've not seen any of the fem plants i've grown out grow out like my cheese clones do.

And again, just lovely plants :)

Good point Jesse. I'm a little confused tho. Why is shantibaba associating his name with a feminized seed? ie "cbd crew". They can't be that bad if he is releasing them??

Hi all,
I feel this thread has gotten off-topic once again, and its funny how the same members are always involved in such practices both here at Icmag and MNS. What a coincidence? I had been wondering for some time now where the rest of the culprits from Icmag were, then it dawned on me, perhaps they are already here?

I found the post below quite interesting, considering the similarities in post demonstrated later.

Its interesting that you mention split personalities Kopite, because Ive found the similarities between your post, especially the syntax, (the study of principles and rules for constructing sentences), to parallel quite nicely with those of another poster who also shares the same kind of general attitude on these forums as yourself. Along with that sweet heart attitude you share in common, an underlying interest in the feminized seed threads, the same group of cats you seem to run with, and Hoosierdaddy's recent banishment at Icmag and your sudden re-emergence on this forum, Ive found this all to be quite the coincidence to say the least.

Interesting uses of the term "PAR", strikingly similar to one another.

I found the striking similarity in writing styles, syntax, use of Ellipses, choice of words, subject matter and overall poor attitude one heck of a coincidence Kopite, or is that hoosierdaddy? ;) Together this all seems like too much of a coincidence to overlook, especially in light of previous scenarios in these same threads at Icmag (Stoner-Gate).

There is one thing good that will come of all of this Kopite/Hoosierdaddy, the forum has been given an oppurtunity to see first hand what Stoner-Gate truly is. And that there are those within the cannabis community who will do anything, and everything, to keep the truth about Feminized Seeds as far away from prying eyes as possible. Repeatidly taking the thread subject matter off topic, the use of troll handles and the reliance of your friends (Darwin) to help you along in this process all in an effort to stiffle the truth from getting out to the general public that the currently popular trend of Feminized Seed is little more than a scam designed to take peoples money, and offer them an inferior product all under the pretence of getting an all female crop, skipping over the hard work of selection in the hope of chasing the Sensimilla dream.

JessE, I asked you via pm to correct this above as I'm def not hoosier you chose to ignore the pm, I want everyone here to know I'm just me kopite no one else.... the only stoner gate things are in your own deluded head...

the main thread derailer from what I see is yourself and the childish images you put up... you hardly cite anything yet patrol like you're a god (maybe in your head you are?)

I'm not even going to bother replying to the post you just did... theres nothing scientific or useful in it!! you see most people have cited things and backed their statements up... but be my guest Stressie hang me up to dry....

@moonunit perhaps theres a load of junk dna within the Y genome as its very repetative....

Kopite

Ps I will not be returning here after Stressies latest post seems this said person def has the right to do as pleases without revoke, that to me reflects badly on others...

ok go on I'll bite on this

theres nothing wrong with people doing things correctly be it via a gynoecious mating scheme or a M/F mating scheme though people will always take shortcuts for greed the £/$ will always rule some in the head, theres no getting away from that... do I buy Fem seeds? No I don't, do I use gynoecious lines that I have worked? yes you can be damn sure I do.... theres the crux of it stressie its called economics it kinda rules the world and governs many things... Ca$h croppers and the like that just want sinse will go for fem seeds the costs is not a factor as they are prob making that much or not spending as much on weed from the street.. you with it now? it doesn't matter if a hack/money mad person puts out seeds that are bred via either mating scheme the end result is the same is it not ?

I'm confused about that as well, but thats why I'm here. To learn more...

My Assumption:
I suspect that SB may be "consulting" these individuals with some ethical/technical issues to assure a higher standard than todays time sensitive "turbo bred elites" in seed form.?

He did say he would tell us more when he can so we will know the answers if we have the patience.

At this point of the discussion I have seen many people are making the point that the dioecious state of Cannabis is more evolved than a monoeicous state. If this is true, wouldn't a single sex version of something that has evolved two sexes naturally be inferior from an evolutionary point of view?

.

Jeese whenever you post it comes across that you have some authority at MNS,is this true?do you work for shantibabba, nevil or are you just a plain old arse licker?

Is the above true, that some people are not worthy of growing paticular strains? Are the same people worthy of growing other MNS strains?

Maybe you should consider not smoking strong sativas anymore, its clear from the posts you make that your getting more deluded as the days go by.

I know if you answer this it will only be to call me a troll and tell me how great shanti/nevil/mns are,and that your glad to lick their arses.

This is a cool site with lots of info and great grow logs that ive spent quite a bit of time reading. It seems to me tho that you have to be in the "click" to be a real member here.

Too many people like you waiting in the wings"to hang people up to dry"

WTF????????Gran Tourino.

So as they say in Dragons Den,

"For that reason im out."

Hi Namaskar,
Nice plant, though I cant imagine ever working with a feminized product in any kind of breeding scheme personally. Its tough to post anything, without fearing I may upset you in any kind of way. So with this in mind, just accept my overall thoughts and not take them as an attack my friend. No offense, as you know, Ive always thought highly of you but just imagine how much more vigorous your plant would be had you not used a feminized female to work with! Considering how many other plants are within pollination range in your green houses, you seem to be playing with fire. I definitely admire your honesty, though I will probably refrain from running anything from Namaskar/El Manito? incorporated lol in the future.Knowing how many plants ultimately went hermie from Hempy's S1 works, you've probably not made the wisest decisions of all time. Though when working with Sativa's of the nature as you have, some cross pollination is almost unavoidable considering the proximity of other lines in your garden. They look good for sure, but with the adage of once a hermie, always a hermie....

Thanks for sharing brother :)

No problems TTT :D

Note to all DEA associates, NSA and Secret Service.....thats a joke! ;)

Namaskar's picture is from a traditional m/f mating. Jesse....you got issues.
It never ceases to amuse me how often you cats will talk trash, knowing that Ive been asked not to respond back with the same kind of aggressiveness that you, yourselves deliver. My hands are essentially tied behind my back, because of my respect for Shanti and Nevil's request. Enjoy your newly found freedom Greeninthethumb, perhaps even send Shanti and Nev a thank you for protecting your behind. If Namaskars plants are from a traditional female and male mating, then his post would make little sense in regards to what he quoted. As one of the points of my post, was breeding with lines from the feminized process. Which the word feminized, just so happens to correspond nicely with the term female. Its possible you're right, however I took his post as meaning he used a feminized female to hybridize with an Oaxacan male.

Between the two of us, I hardly think my issues are nearly as severe as your own. I can clearly see Ive rattled your cage, which brings a little bit of a smile to my face. Just imagine what I could do if my hands were not bound by the respect I have for what MNS is attempting to accomplish here at the forum? ;)

This is the best you could do with 40 minutes to think about it? lol

I'll tell you what, try again...try harder this time. Lets see if you can do any better lol.

I'll be waiting...

Well, isnt that convenient? Stoner-Gate doesnt want to play when Im game, instead they choose to log off and wait until I've logged out myself to continue on. Getting back on topic, which as Ive suspected over and over again now, would be overlooked and taken off topic in an attempt to conceal from the public view the detriments of the Feminized seed process and the potential significant ramifications of breeding with such plants, we'll once again look at Hempys experiments with the S1 Mango Haze in comparison to the traditionally bred F1 and F2s.

F1 Mango Haze from MNS

F2 Mango Haze which could be made by any of us with similar selection methods.

And the S1 feminized Mango Haze from the same lines pictures above.

Now I suspect the Stoner-gate crowd will come along and make some excuse up why Hempys experiments prove nothing, and attempt to put on white jackets and stethoscopes and claim to be scientist lol.

Maybe I'll put on my own lab coat, and go google some fancy words, and pretend to be King Nothing as well lol. What will they do then, call it a stalemate haha?
