Thoughts on God...
Hey, I'm not at all religious, but I am very spiritual. The distinction that I make is that while spirituality focuses on recognizing forces at work that are beyond human scope and human control, religion tries to cram spirituality into a neat lil exclusive club. I believe that there is a huge amount of unseen/unrecognized energy/power in the world. I don't by any stretch consider human awareness/existence the pinnacle of intelligent/conscious energy.
The reason I decided to write this is that I recently was made aware (again, and almost on a daily basis if I look) of God working in my life. I dunno who or what God is, I just know that he/it is the collection of forces in/outside of the 5 senses. I am not so arrogant as to try to define God. I try to live my life so as to improve the experience of those around me. I have recently hit a lil financial rough time, having ~enough food to last a week or so, and having NO cash when it runs out... So ok, let go and let God, I have done what I could to get (in and) out of the mess. I know that I won't starve, and the heat will stay on, and the lights on, and whatever. I'll survive, and I'm grateful for that. For the last few weeks, I've been forcing myself to be grateful for something (usually health, dogs, ability to grow new money) when I start to stress over things that I had no immediate control over.
So my AWESOME neighbors are going to S.America for a few weeks, and I am doggie sitting. I have been looking forward to having the dog over for a while. She is great friends with my 2 youngest, and I love her. She is cool with (doesn't mess with) the old dogs. Her owners are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They bring me homemade food ~3-4x's a wk, and never ask me for ANYTHING. Before the doggie came, they told me that they were getting dogfood, etc...
So I really was looking forward (putting mucho positive energy into) to watching the dog, so my neighbors can go relax in their home country for a while. As of 11AM, the neighbors have dropped off a 52lb bag of pedigree (~40bux),a big bag of cookies (~10 bux) a case and a half of cans (~40 bux) for the dogs. For me, they dropped off 3lb of frozen ground turkey, a quart or 2 of homemade chicken soup, and a thank you with $100 cash. I wasn't looking to get anything out of the deal except MAYBE extra dog food for the first week or so (then I would be feeding her, but no prob).
When I do things with others' benefit in mind, I am rewarded beyond what I can do for myself.

Without asking, I have had a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders (feeding myself and feeding the dogs).
