It's pronounced "djeep"... :) Thanks, broski. How's the CBHz's?

2 popped right out after less than 24 hours, another just about to in the "cheese pasty propagator" and one of the "soil cups" is just peaking out... pretty good so far :)

I also FINISHED the grow box today (ok nearly finished, still need to hook up the exhaust to the junction a/c box) I put a 125w CFL with a reflector and a clip on fan that defies belief in its output..running a nice 27C...I'll get a photo tomorrow :)

Nice, Jaime. :) When you expand to a house in the country with a basement (odds are you MIGHT...) remember to keep the temps UP in the winter. The cold is KILLING my yield. :(
1 more month...
5 PM and the sun is still hangin around :D :D

Barletta's Down Below

Great thread barletta, all sorts of good info and great pic's throughout. You are a talented grower for sure, indoors or out your girls look stunning man, thank-you for sharing. Pepè

Thanks, Pepe :) I'm just a grower like anyone else. I seem to have lots of time on my hands since I learned how produce the A++, so I take pix, and come up with ways to confuse myself :D

Talented grower over here was misting around in veg, and managed to pinch ~7 seedlings inbetween the spray bottle 'trigger', and the bottle. They were either uprooted and worthless, or shredded (and worthless). Right after I did it I'm thinkin "Do I have a critter getting in here and eating my seedlings?". Then I saw the lifeless lil leaves all over. No worries, as they were under 2wks old, and they were from replacable seedstock (ssh f2's, Spice x MissMudd, barletta bagseed).

Still waiting on most of these FreeB's (Menege e Trois x Miss Mudd) to pop through. Prolly 2 or 3 of 18+ sprouted seeds planted have broke the soil.

Ramble, ramble, ramble... Lights on in 10 hrs!

Well you are using your time well buddy, hey that spice of yours looks so good, growing, its a looker but the dry bud!, talk about 'bag appeal', look forward to seeing more of your post's B', take it easy eh, Pepè

Thanks P :^) I let that cut go, but I have her crossed out to alot of males. I'm running a few of her babies now in veg.

Here's Superlolo #3 ~53 days. She is the tallest, slowest maturing plant. She also got hit kinda hard by the cold and the PM last month, so her stem and leaves are a lil less than ideal. The buds are growing at a normal pace, but I still expect the yeild from all of the superlolo's to be cut WAY down. I dunno what I expected running plants with so much tropical heritage in the winter (ssh = 1/2 haze; pakalolo = 1/2 hawaiian sativa). But I'll have some sweet smoke in a few wks :^)

She doesn't smell too strong, but is a pleasant sweet with the 'thick' haze way in the background. I'm finding that while these plants look like the parents, the smells are sort of generic so far. The mom had a very different cheese/bread crumbs/skunk smell, and the daddy ssh was HAZY. The plants so far smell like sweet skunky weed as a group.

OY! OY! [ancient cockney greeting, usually shouted across the street]

Hey B', I love plants that size/shape, just no waste is there, she looks pretty plump for 53 days, good that you beat that white crap!, is it humid over there? I'm with you on the winter man, not just the tropical side but just the sheer cold, I have no HID's on right now it's like 40/50f tops, my babies are really slow because of it, I've just white-washed a box for their last week and then those Skunk x Haze's i spoke of can go in and have a bit better start.

It will interesting to see what you get from that spice she was a looker rest her soul. :D

Tell me, your pic 'Shade grown Mango bud' p22, with a nice purple center, is that a natural trait or did cold bring it out?, I ask because I noticed today two plants have new sets that have a good amount of purple on them and wasn't sure if I had caused it with low temps or not. Pepè

Yeah, man. COLD SUCKS. My clones are taking 4-6 wks to root, the seedlings/veg plants are growing at 1/2 speed, the plants in flower don't drink like they should, so the buds are puny... I recently fired back up a 22gal sterlite (rubbermaid type) tub with 2 x 42w cfl's and a 12v puter fan running on 5v (cell charger). The box is PERFECT for clones and seeds (hot and bright!), but I have to mist 4-5x's daily to keep the humidity up (or atleast keep the plants wet, lol).

I didn't really beat the PM, I just treated, and switched the airflow back (straight shot outside, no 'lung' room). These superlolo's still show spots, but they are harmless at this point, IMO. I'm not seeing the spots on anything else, but I know the spores are still around, cause the males both got lightly spotted (but no ill affects - burning/dropping leaves). They were not in the circulaton fans' airflow, though.

On that Mango Widow cut the purple was most likely cold/stress related. There is another pic in here somewhere of the whole plant, and just that one top purpled. I also lost ~1/2 of that top to budrot, and very little of the rest of that plant. I can't say for sure, as I ran the clones inside in warmer weather. The seedplant was flushed very thoroughly, and didn't purple, even in a 'cooler' room. The 1/2 assed seedplant indoor grow report is in the 'dreamtime' section.
:D

Thank's B', maybe my two are from cold then, as it happens these are the sets i'm pinching out so it may be the last I see of any colour, we'll see. Not long now though soon be spring, I lived in this city 20 odd years and to be honest it's only been real cold 3 or 4 winters but this year is one of them, even had snow bad enough to stop the city a couple of Mondays ago, they couldn't get the snowploughs on to the road as they weren't gritted/salted and the gritters said they couldn't grit because the snowploughs hadn't been out, so everyone stayed in bed! global warming my arse! Pepè

hehheehehe

That's so funny to those of us who live where snow is common and abundant!

I love it when we get a big snow. We know there's a lot when they chain up those D-9 size front end loaders equiped with a diesel powered "mother of all snow blower" accessories on the loaders front end instead of a bucket.

If it got really bad, they'd borrow one of those true behemoth snow blowers from up in the Park(similar to the ones upstate New York uses). Those things are incredible machines.

I've seen them go through drifts you wouldn't believe.

Hi Sat' Fan, I Know, we are a bit pathetic over here, it isn't that long ago the trains stopped running because (Director of British Rail quote) "the wrong sort of snow on the lines, it isn't deep enough to attach a snowplough on the trains, and it is too soft and powdery" ? But bad enough to stop trains! tsk!tsk! I heard our mayor asked 2 US companies to tender for next year, Mr Plow and King Plow :D Pepè

"I'm Mr. Plow, yeah that's my name - That name again is Mr. Plow..."

The worst is shoveling that fluffy ass 'mountain' snow, then have some driving wind blow it all back in a drift and freeze it off with a nice shiny shell. Well, having the plows put up a 2' x 2' wall of ice at the end of the driveway isn't much fun either...

That is sort of cool that everything shut down. I saw the pix, parts DID get dumped on quick. The fastest RATE of snow that I ever saw was late Jan 05 when we got ~3+"/hr for 3-4 hrs. Was a total wind/snow white out. I went to work selling cars, and it wasn't snowing (8:30 am). Started ~10am, we started moving cars (to clear/plow the lot). By ~3/4pm it had completely stopped, and we had ~18". A few wks later I moved a few blocks from the Mass Bay, and they got 40" from that storm on top of ~2' of existing snow. They shut down the schools for a wk, cause the plows had put 4+ feet of ICE on most of the sidewalks.

That was crazy, there was a 1/2 tunnel of ice where the town cleared the sidewalks (THAT was a first for me) up until May in most spots, and way into June where they had piled up the snow/ice (and got northern exposure).

Glad I don't grow outdoor up there. FUKKIN ROCK. Like God dumped a bunch of rocks, then packed em with clay, then 4" of topsoil...

So yeah, I DO have a critter eating my seedling stems. Fukker just bites em, doesn't munch the leaves or anything. Hasn't touched the clones, just the seelings. Pretty muched killed the SSH f2's, Miss Spice, and the barletta bagseed. I lost ~10 seedlings over night. I have 1 or 2 ssh f2's left, and most of the c99 x hp f2's and FreeB's. I also have a $100 seedpack that isn't popping up :(

And I chose today to not smoke...

Good news is that I have a shitload of happy clones, and once they go in, I can root cuts of ssh6. Uuugghhh... I can't keep animals from eating my INDOOR plants.

Hey up!

Hi B', ♪♫ Mr Plow♫♪ haha!. i had forgot the song till then, now i have a vision of Homer in only his pants and Mr Plow jacket.
Bummer your seeds are not showing!, it's an insect thats chowing down on your stems is it?, i have made myself boss-eyed looking for some of those f***ers before today.
24 hours in a box and the seedlings of mine are really happy now, all praying to the 125W god, funny the diff a little heat can make, should have done it 2 weeks ago, now i'm planning to run a radiator from the house down to the room shortly as the forecast here is a load more cold till April!:mad::mad:

Yo, happy to here they are doin well, Pepe :^) My bet is that whatever is chewing the stems is a mammal. Prolly a mouse. I have to keep the cottonseed meal in a rubbermaid, those fukkers are relentless...

Whatever, it wasn't meant to be. I have dozens of seeds left from those crosses. I just hope it stops at seedlings. I can keep seedlings in the veg box which is guarded by a 39lb mouse killing pit 24/7 :^) But if 'It' decided that he likes older plants, I have to take action. It looks like JUST the soft ass seedling stems get chewed. I didn't THINK I was that high misting yesterday, lol. (but I have killed plenty of young plants with the trigger/palm move. Just not 10 at a time)

Hey, Superlolo #4. Prolly one of the faster plants. Has a dry/crisp faint skunk smell. Was the stinkiest plant in early flower, but has since faded. Also prone to the PM, but not dropping leaves.

♪♫ There on the stair right there, a little mouse with cloggs on ♪♫♪

I lived in a house that would get a few mice in now and then, you knew they were back by the smell, weird high pitch stale pee smell, but you would never smell it over your girls would you. Good you have more of those seeds though.
What is that Chunky Monkey?, it looks solid for a little plant B'.

Chunky Monkey, isnt that from Ben n Jerrys Seed Co? hehehe (like I can talk "cheeseberry haze boy" ):D
