Bonsai challenge?

This morning I woke up after not checking my clones in days and they got mold inside my mini propagator. Only Early Skunk was not affected. So I took a new cutting from NS x NHM and designed a failproof cloning technique. The bottom of a 2L plastic bottle and the top of a 0,5L plastic bottle. A little growth fertilizer and a little rootstim. If all goes right this is the first pic of my bonsai to be.

You guys may have given me a new hobby if I can learn how to do it. I’ll do a search now but if anyone can recommend a good site or info, please do so. Will check out Cannabonsai in the meantime. A new hobby! I like new things but love old genetics…
Well, shape it by your own creative style through bonsai techniques. Through LST you should get a more woody stem. LST means low stress training. For example bending/pulling it down with a wire. You can also train branches to grow in a specific way with bendwire. Cutting off unwanted branches by shaping your bonsai will create more energy for the remaining branches.

Thanks so much Cannalicious! I have been training forever but not for Bonsai. I think that from the pictures, I'll need to do something with the roots and a much smaller pot. It will be fun doing and having some Bonsais around. I may do a clip, not total, maybe 3/4's, of the main shoot and then do the tie downs for each of the new mains. Thanks again!

thank you so much for taking part in this! I am extremely looking forward how we could start a bonsai competition. So thank you my friend in green for showing interest.

You can take bigger pots and root trim to place her later in a smaller pot. You can even cheat and use a smaller pot in the end right before the picture to put her into conquest. The roads are infinite when you are creative.

We got years to come to train this new hobby. Let the fun dominate in this one. ;)

The problem I am having with this project is imagining keeping a plant in veg as a houseplant.
If that can be achieved (by somebody else first on here) then I might make a project of it as well.
Like a pet.
It seems a bit of a waste to put all that effort into it if it is just going to flower.
Re-vegging might be an option but it might also ruin the look of it, maybe in a good way as well, to be fair.
To do this in a saucer with gravel and nutrients might take a bit of perfecting.
But if cheating is allowed that's different and better.

That is why we can use artificial lighting.
The perfection makes it challenging. Maybe we suck this year, but we'll be better next year :D

Balance and proportion: A good bonsai has a balanced and harmonious appearance. The ratio between the trunk, branches, leaves, and roots should be in balance, suitable for the chosen bonsai style.

Natural appearance: A bonsai should look natural, as if it were a mature tree or shrub in miniature form. The shape and growth of the branches and leaves should be realistic and appropriate for the species or style in which the bonsai is created.

Healthy growth: A good bonsai exhibits healthy growth and a vital appearance. The tree should have healthy leaves and branches, free from pests or diseases. The roots should be well-developed and in balance with the aboveground parts of the tree.

Aesthetic appeal: An attractive bonsai captures attention and has a visual impact. This can be achieved through interesting features such as beautiful bark, unique branch structure, vibrant leaf colors, or intriguing shapes.

Harmony with the pot: A bonsai should fit well with the pot in which it is planted. The size, color, and style of the pot should be in harmony with the tree and enhance the overall presentation.

Artistic expression: A bonsai is a work of art, and a good bonsai reflects the artistic vision and intention of the bonsai artist. It can convey a sense of tranquility, strength, antiquity, or other emotions.
