Certain particulars come to mind, such as a max blue color temp(solar), times when rain falls and is penetrated with this radiation temp. Jasmine, Rose and Balsam oil families, either alone, or blended into one plant at a fixed grid coordinate and altitude....also, enzymed which entered earth, at Yucatan, from the crater at chixulub, up to the Northern carolina Mtns, where the Rosophia vibes are recorded in much elevated geology, and recognized now, by colrors and it's look.

Crystals are frozen software, which are downloadable, and contains 5th dimensional memories/vibes.

A little bit of info I will add on the debate about landraces subject. In my travels I have sort out landraces which i defined as those races either found naturally occurring in the area or introduced races from historic times and let to breed in closed pockets over time. So landraces in the same country can vary considerably and I ,90% of the time have to cull 90-95% of the so called landraces pool seeds grown as there is alot of crap to wade through to find something outstanding. These landraces have developed for reasons and these reasons are related to adaption to an environment...so the fit survive and the rest die out.

This struck a chord with me. I've grown a few landraces and have also found 90+% of plants to be crap indoors under lights.

Why is this? Well, as you say, landraces are full of variation as an adaptation mechanism. You take that landrace and grow it in a niche environment indoors and only some of the individuals will be able to adapt to that niche environment, the rest won't. The ones that were crap indoors may well be great outdoors in their native region.

I can think of a few landrace lines I've grown in recent years that were completely unable to adapt to the niche environment indoors, I had an Egyptian hashplant type that grew foxtails that looked like dreadlocks in the best pheno, the others were more leaf than calyx. I had a Kush type from Pakistan that grew really lanky and stretched like mad and produced tiny buds, they were very frosty and potent buds but tiny and on a big lanky plant. Then there was the sativa from Ghana that produced a yield of a few grams after 20 weeks flowering indoors from a huge wild hedge of a plant.

Usually what I do when I encounter a wild strain like those is pick out the best female that looks to have some useful traits (if any do) and dust it with pollen. I have seed of all three lines I mentioned crossed to the Purple Afghan male I had. One day I'll revisit those seeds probably.

Good luck with the seed hunting Shanti, hope you do eventually find something really good!

BH with all due respect how old are you were you around when lines like pan red were grown no i am thinking and there is a reason the strain was called panama red that is because the flowers were red makes sense no.

Green phinos ? in a pure lines BH you threw 10 seeds down you got 10 plants of the same genetic make up they had the same look smell flavor and high only sex veryed male female and hermies but dont rember seeing hermies in the pan reds.

You know what is ludicrous mate people talking about things they have no clue on then when some one speaks up and tries to educate others is shot down by the same people.

For the Record I was born in 75 so no, I'm not old enough.

I meant no offense by the use of the word ludicrous, I probably should have picked a better word to use. I'm very sorry if you were offended, so let me apologise for that.

I do have experience with a coloure landrace - the Purple Afghan. As far as I know that line was only worked one gen before I got it when mogggy's open pollinated between about a dozen plants I think. Anyways, there were four colour types in that line - dark purple, light purple, pink and green. The main variation between the plants was in fact their colour and it seemed like the variation in colour was just a variation in the amount of the purple pigment present. The green plants had very little, the pink plants had a fair bit as the calyxes were pink/green, the light purple plants had bright purple calyxes so had a lot of the pigment and finally, the dark purple plants had deep dark purple calyxes so must have had a lot of the pigment.

Now, relate that experience to Panama Red and I would expect within a Panama/Colombian Red line there would have been plants with varying levels of the pigment and that would have produced a range of colour types, some red, some pink, some green. Certainly this is true of the Angola Red line as I've seen red, green and an intermediate pink-ish type as well.

Hempy, was the Panama Red you saw grown from seeds picked straight out of import? If not, it could have been worked for at least a couple of years and if they picked the seeds from the red plants and grew those it might only take a couple of years for the red trait to become truebreeding?

I know there are still a load of old Thais and Asians in Australia, wonder if anyone kept an old Panama Red?

Im gonna be a grampa soon. In April.

I harvested some pollen.

I remember Nevil said We were supposed to sample it for quality. Is this how we do it? Snorkle sample?

These recieved Haze pollen

These got Nevilles Haze pollen, and Mango Haze pollen and Oaxacan. They are sitting at 75 days now. I unplugged the light when it went off tonight, and zipped up the tent real well. 48 hours black out, then the harvest at 77 days (11 weeks). I think this will make a good cross with both Hazes, and the Mexican too. Its real strong stuff , with an instant high and a wallop of a headrush.

Good night Girls. Sleep tight.

Wow.

Dr. Purpur, in your pollen collection bin, the square plastic box with what looks like blue crystals in it - is that a dessicant container of some sort? Wondering where I might get something similar.

I'd have cut that pollen into 2 lines, at least...

Thank You Both!

Yes that is a rechargable dessicant block. Its a Dribox from sorbent systems. It changes color when it needs regeneration

The container is a gasket sealed "Lock-Lock" box. Its most important to keep pollen dry.

I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden in the shade
He'd let us in, knows where we've been
In his octopus' garden in the shade

I'd ask my friends to come and see
An octopus' garden with me
I'd like to be under the sea
In an octopus' garden in the shade.

We would be warm below the storm
In our little hideaway beneath the waves
Resting our head on the sea bed
In an octopus' garden near a cave

Thanks man ..
ohh you should read shantis post there mate ,,
good info ...

Never mind Wally, we tried at least...

Hempy, read Shanti's post, he disagrees with you on the variance of landraces.

Wally cited some references to support that.

I think it's time to admit you're wrong on this one, sorry.

Hi All of you

Hi All,

I really wish I knew more about this subject. That way I could add more in the way of debate. Sometimes I see a little I understand, but alot is way over my head. I won't even try to disagree, nor agree. Yet I remember Shanti rec'dd a good book to me. I can't say I still understand, and don't read it all. Yet what I did learn I feel made me a better grower. So for that book, and this thread. I have been able to learn, and all that have posted info. Thank you for the help. Even if it was not directly aimed at me. Be well...Ns

I think Wally, for the sake of the communtiy spirit, we should rise above any insult chucking and stick to the debate. I know it can be hard sometimes not to respond to pissyness.
