Are SSH, Jack Herer and Diesel the same thing?

Please, BlizzOut, don't speculate, the Lemon Skunk has nothing to do with Ingemar whatsoever, I know the person who gave it to Arjan personally and know all about the fallout with DNA that caused him to give the cutting to Arjan but that's not for posting online, I respect people's wishes when they tell me something that isn't to be published. Also, the provenance prior to it being obtained by DNA is well known, it's a well known cutting in Las Vegas that they have had long before Ingemar came on the scene, many people have confirmed this, in Vegas it's known by the name Jack's Lemon more than it is known as Lemon Skunk.

If Lost Vagueness hadn't been banned from icmag and his posts deleted we could just ask him all about the Lemon Skunk, he's from Las Vegas and grew it many times.

Im sick of man give cutting to man to man to man and its grown here and there and there !
All that cuttings can not produce seeds without males.
Each of that cuttings have parents.

But its better to be a mistery, than say, it comes from '89 stock but its an good pheno what we found.

Lemon Skunk, Arjan's story bla bla bla ...

Also, ingemar come to scene about at same time like shanti.

You might be sick of it but in this case it is the truth.

As I said, Lemon Skunk is either an indica dominant Skunk or a Skunk x indica hybrid.

GHS did not need a male to make their Lemon Skunk seeds, they only sell feminised so all Franco needed to do was spray the cutting with silver to get the seeds.

DNA sell Lemon Skunk regular seeds and as I stated they used a Skunk#1 male from Eddy Rekedder, the former owner of The Flying Dutchmen. When Eddy sold the TFD name to Sensi he sold off some other assets to others and DNA got a Skunk male.

Ingemar is not the breeder of White Widow, Shantibaba bred White Widow from a Brazilian and a South Indian hybrid.

Ingemar had some indica lines he had been working on field scale near the German border, he sold seeds to Arjan after Shantibaba left GHS because Shantibaba and Nevilel took all the parent plants needed to make seeds with them when they left. Ingemar's Widow is an indica, it's not as good as the real Widow, it is potent and has lots of resin but is bland and is poor in smell and taste, it's typical Dutch 'White' weed. I have grown them both and Shantibaba's is far superior.

If you chose to believe Arjan and Ingemar then you will never know the truth.

Sorry, but you need to do some more studying before you can start to make speculations such as you did about Ingemar and Lemon Skunk.

Here is an exellent starting point for reading about White Widow, Ingemar and GHS, three posts made by Shantibaba a few years ago:

Hi all

there are a load of F1 widow plants going round and being sold as BW or WW clones etc but the father of the widow which is reponsible for the original seed that won it fame is only with us at MNS. I know that GHSco use another since I left in 98, and Ingemar uses yet another and so on...all claim to be the original etc...but if you do some research on grow reports etc you will discover the one you need .All the best Shantibaba

Hi All

well most of you are clear about your experiences with Arjan's seed post 1998 when i sold him my half of the company and left to Swiss setting up the Mr Nice Seedbank at the same time.

Since 1998 I must have answered several thousand complaints against Arjan's seed which he sells under GHSco. He will never admit it but he lost or killed most all plants that were left to him so he basically buys in seed from Ingemar(which is unpredictable at best) or tries to avoid true breeding by using hormones to feminize seed. The reason he feminizes seed is two fold, one it sells well to beginners or people wanting to only get females, and two because he has no idea of what male to breed with...nor does he have the males so as an alternative use the hormones to make seed from the female...a job anyone can do. The only problem now will come when people grow his types. And just a small tip for anyone who really wants to know, the loudest sound comes from an empty barrel...that is why he has god knows how many strains named after his own self...is it ego or insecurity...I will leave it to you to figure.

One last thing is if anyone of his internet sites dealt with complaints my life and work load would be so much lighter. A self acclaimed king...but actually a glorified dope dealer nothing more nothing less. Here endeth the story...all the best Sb

Hi all

it never ceases to amaze me about those insecure people. If all these people did as they said including Ingemar why did I win in 1995 with the GHSco this award and then the year later make the seeds available when they were ready. If all these geniuses were who they claim they were why are they still talking about it in 2006 almost 10 years after the fact. Why am I not angry at Nirvana or Dutch Passion when they came and purchased a single packet off me in 1996 and the following year both had it available on their seed list etc....And if anyone does the correct research in chronological order you will see there was only one set of parents making this strain, so whatever the genetics of all these other companies are that produce a strain called WW I know what I make and where it really comes from. There are certain questions related to breeding I could ask that would surely show that these seed producers are all using at best F1s of the originals like what is on sale from MNS!
Finally if this Ecoman who claims he is the one who people are making money from his product, really thinks about it he should be happy and complimented that people are doing well from his product...otherwise he would not even have a reason to complain, would he?

All the best SB

i hope that in my last post i made it clear i did not believe the origon of the dna sweet haze as stated by the breeders? i can usually see marketing bs when it is in front of me so all i will attest to is the quality of this hyb. it shocked me too. i first tried l.a. con, two packs, not impressed and just cause i am a glutton for punishment i decided to take a run on sweet haze. the first round there was a maybe plant and then the rest of the seeds vanished? got another pack and had a nice specimen last year and this year both girls were a pleasant surprise. in typical haze fashion, you look at the yield more in terms of volume than weight but results are promising, aroma and flavor are there and a hammer potency. none of that "clear" head description with this one. i am hoping for similar results in the recent shanti release of nl5/hz, outdoor finishers in 10 weeks or less, and more as the rule rather than the exception. peace-biteme

As I said, Lemon Skunk is either an indica dominant Skunk or a Skunk x indica hybrid.
Some of the AfgT and AfgS (ML) crosses with skunk went towards lemon. In particular AfgS. AfgT x Hz C also had haze lemonish phenos. It's well worth fishing in those lines.

If the LS cutting can be found, I know what I'd do with it.

I can find it Nev, just need to ask around.

Which Afghan went into Super Skunk? I remember some phenos of that were lemony. Can you recall what year you made Super Skunk?

I'm gonna ask some guys I know online who hail from Las Vegas or thereabouts and find out some more background info if possible.

ya know, I have about half a dozen "Skunks" growing now that reek of lemons,so is this lemon skunk trait a big deal or what?
it just inbred seed plants, nothing exotic. about two weeks later than I like, but it does get you higher than phuch and makes your head and face hurt from laughing so much.
Tell me more ,this might be a good thing for a tasty indica .

s

I'm not fond of skunk but I do like the Lemon Skunk, I've smoked phenos of Skunk#1 that were orangey but don't remember a lemony one, I have grown a few Afghans that were lemony though. Most lemony thing I've grown is a toss up between ECSD taken at 10 weeks or Trainwreck.

We have grown out

Widow skunk
widow warrior
WW 2004

all from De sjamaan

None of them had the power of BW.........

As for the lemon skunk clone I know some one who was holding that in Vegas..

Critical Haze has some extremely lemony pheno's.. Even some none smokers could sit sniffing the buds for hours, a real citrus treat and not very skunky at all.. recommended.. Packed with flavour too, and also some quite heady high's... Oh and not to forget the yield...:D
peace
BL

DNA say lemon skunk is an original skunk no1 chosen for its citrusy taste and flavours. Is there a citrus pheno of sk1? or could it be a relation to chitral skunk?

So they are saying the Lemon Skunk cutting is a Skunk #1? It may be. They used a Skunk #1 male to make their seeds from it. Call me a cynic but i always treat info from DNA with more than a pinch of salt.

Aye, I've grown some of Ingemar's stuff too, it's not great, but does work well outdoors as he bred them outdoors and selected for hardiness to the Dutch climate.

Shanti even pointed out one of the BW parents in the 'Who is Scott Blakey?' video, it's on Youtube if folks don't believe me.

I've met most of the leading figures in the cannabis world and most of them are guys who set off my BS alarms whereas Shanti was just a laidback Aussie bloke, nothing like most of em and you can see why he got out of that world in 98 to do his own thing, he's happier being a family man and swimming than he could ever be among the sharks that run the cannabiz. He's also free of the big head that the others all have and if anyone is entitled to have a big head, it's Shanti, but it's just not him. I respect the guy a lot for staying the way he is despite all the crap he's had thrown at him. Hope he's having a good time in Asia right now, bet he's enjoying swimming in the sea out there.

you can add ingemars punch to your list mr. blueboy1875. supposed to be a flagship strain so to speak but sorely lacking compared to the bw. never tried the ghs version and doubt if i will, but the only ww i found even close in quality to bw was a pack from nirvana i tried years ago. how's that for keeping it real which is what mr. ingemar was supposed to be doing? and btw, your avatar is familiar. do you use it with other site names? peace-biteme

Eek, I've have made that staff member smoke nothing but Afghani #1 for a year for losing that male! lol

Nev, correct me if I'm wrong, but the HzA was a more spicy Colombian smell/taste and the HzC a sweeter, fruity Thai type?

I really like the spicy phenos in your Hazes and I always figured it was from the HzA.
