100% Exodus Cheese

haha Dawn Thanks for the kind words.

I could loose the spiders but since I am not working they are my only income right now.

The way it works out is if we have a successful mating and the female produces a viable egg sack then we can make a couple of thousand pounds off one egg sack.

At the moment we are trying something really unusual by breeding a Mexican Red Knee Female with a Cobalt Blue Male.

The problem is the Female is very aggressive and she tries to eat the male before he is able to pass on his sperm.

We are going to try again in a few days but we will try the usual trick of giving her something to eat while we let him loose in her house.. I will try and get some pics..

Stay Cool,
Doobz

hi Doobz lovely setup you'v got goin looks familiar:D

your other jobby (job/hobby) sounds really interesting id love to know
how they get on, where i went to college had an animal care department
which had a lot of spiders, the cobalt blue sounds familiar

good luck

Cheers Zesk.. Familiar hey? Dunno if thats a good or a bad thing...

Woeps I missed posting here the other day.. With all the shit happening on the forum I was swayed a bit

Here is the post from 420

A nice day for me yesterday. I was lucky enough to pick up a Echotecnics Evoloution Controller for £150 from my local grow shop thanks to my missus giving me some cash as an early birthday prezzie. The dudes now do price matching at the shop so I am stoked..

I had a bit of a mission getting it sorted and decided not to wire the fans etc in directly but to attach 4 way sockets instead so I can just plug in my appliances directly in case I ever need to add more or whatever.

Not much of an update but just grabbed some pics while I was checking the controller to make sure it was not sucking out the sulfume vapor when it comes on.. Its not doing so, so I am happy..

I also have these Kiwi-Seeds Mt-Cook plants on the go that I might put into sex tonight. I don't really need them right now and should probably not have popped the beans but you know what its like when you get new beans?.. You just want to grow them.. A few days after receiving the Mt Cook Seeds I received some seeds from Matt from Crazy-X seeds.. I am very grateful to him for sending them to me after he heard that I binned all my plants etc.. Below is what I received..

Fat Russians (White Russian x Chronic)
Colombian gold x lemon stinky,
train-wreck x lemon stinky,
lavender G13 Haze x Chronic,

I have no idea when I am going to grow them but rest assured they will be grown at some point.. the Fat Russians Sound Niiiice

So Back to the Mt-Cook seeds.. Here are the 4 pheno's I have to work with. The one that I like the most has a Male sort of look to it. No.. I ain't bent..

I might keep it if its a male as the Mt-Cook seeds are very hard to get hold of nowadays.. I might see what happens if I cross it with the cheese to try and increase the yield potential.

I have also grabbed some of this stuff called Mono potassium phosphate

I sometimes use Grotek Monster Bloom and have been told that this stuff is exactly the same stuff just £30 cheaper per 500g

Still really happy with the ecotechnics controller - It seems to have my fans off a lot more which is good for the leccy bill..

Nice grow Doobz!! I smoked Exodus Cheese one time that Subcool gave me and it was VERY, good meds and I liked it a lot. I hear those cuts are hard to come by so congrates on having it.
I wish you the best with her and I can't wait to see how she turns out.
Peace,
PD

Wow doobz, your setup is so clean and well organised, I like it very much, great work mate, your plants are all lovely and healthy, proving that you don't need fancy expensive nutes just a feel for the plants and their needs and a little bit of info on the nutrients you have. Chempak used to do a 100-odd page free book you could send off for that was absolutely chockful of fantastic info, it listed all of their products with their exact formulations given and how they were to be used to grow all types of plants, completely the opposite of how cannabis nute companies work where they tell you almost nothing about what's in the bottle. I still have that book somewhere, I got it in the early 90s when I first began to grow (using Chempak nutes, I liked the Orchid Bloom and Orchid Grow) and the info in it taught me to grow prety much.

The Mt Cook is said to be a Cheese cross so I expect you will like it, it's more indica than the Cheese cut from what I've heard so if it is a Cheese cross they will have crossed it to an indica methinks. If you do get a male your idea of crossing it to the Cheese would be an excellent one. I had a Cheese x Yumboldt cutting that was superior to the Cheese in every way, it produced buds that tasted and smelt exactly like the real Cheese but it was half as tall, yielded twice as much and the buds were twice as dense, Yumboldt is an old Afghan so crossing Cheese to an Afghan type indica would be a very good thing imho.

The Trainwreck that mat used to make that cross you have came from me, I absolutely love TW and from the description and pics of the TW mat selected I think he picked a good one so I think those beans hold a lot of potential for something really nice indeed. Then again, I would say that with the TW being my work! lol

Everything your doing looks and sounds great to me, I'm very impressed so keep it up mate, you have a good handle on things and it pleases me much to see. The spiders even sound interesting, I've not had a pet since my beloved lil doggie passed away 4 years ago, a Tarantula sounds like a interesting pet, can you tell me a little about how they need to be kept and fed, once many years ago a friend gave me his Tarantula to handle for a few minutes and I found it fascinating, the feeling as it crawled on my skin was very strangely pleasant and it wasn't in the slightest bit unsettling so I could see me owning one of my own. How much do they cost?

Whats Up D,

Just wanted to see what you are up too... looks like you are busy... good work brother.

Enjoy your super skunk and make sure you keep those carbon scrubbers running strong... dont want any issues right!

Looking forward to see what happens when you add the MKP in your last few weeks.

I see BH stopped by, why dont you get some special cultivars from him for a new tarantula :)... you guys are crazy, the missus would shit a bird!

Be well...

Cheers papadank - Its a very unique smell mate and the smoke is distinctive too.. Its weird the way you can be walking through a city and you smell weed all the time but you KNOW when someone is smoking the cheese.. Its nuts...

Thanks for the kind words British_Hempire I have heard about that book and will email this lady at chempak and see if they still have any around. I had to email them the other week because the Chempak #4 is no longer a very dark blue in the packet. Its just white with a slight blue tinge to it. I was worried that they had screwed up in mixing a batch or something but a few mins after I sent off the email I got a reply explaining that they just removed the blue dye.. She was real helpful..

From what you say about the Mt-Cook sounds spot on. The leaves are very broad indica type leaves and if I rub the cheese stems and the Mt-Cook there are some similar smells going on. I would love to be able to keep the cheese taste with a larger yield. Matts Big Cheese is very nice but the pheno I chose as a keeper does not have that much cheese characteristics but has very nice yield potential.

I nearly popped a few of those Trainwreck crosses matt sent me but decided it was not a good idea having loads of different strains growing from seed. Clones are no problem as you know what to expect from them.. I will get round to them hopefully once the Cheese clones have rooted and are in the hydro setup.

Its always horrible when an animal like a dog or a cat dies. With the Tarantulas you get less attached as they don't have much of a character.

They can live for about 12-15 years and are very easy to keep.. A container with some vermiculite and a small bowl (lid of a milk bottle) for water and somewhere for them to hide is all they need. They are probably one of the easiest animals to keep.

They can go quite a while without food. We aim to feed them twice a week but if we are away we can leave them almost 3 weeks with no food and they will be fine. Depending on the size of the Tarantula depends on their feed really. Crickets are your best best and you just need to go down to your local pet shop and they usually have them on sale for about £3 for a box of 50. They can be quite noisy if you get the large ones. I kinda like the noise though.

They love the dark so sometimes you don't see them much when the sun is out. We don't handle ours that much as we try and leave them as stress free as possible so when it comes to mating they are chilled out..

They are not expensive if you were to buy one. I am sure I have something that would be an ideal pet for you that we can do a swap or something :) - I will have a look in a bit and give you a pm..

Stay Cool,
Doobz

Hey Chana - I like to keep busy but sometimes my girlfriend thinks I have OCD with the way I like to have everything clean and organised.. It was actually my girlfriend that got me into the tarantulas. She used to breed Mantids but they were almost like a constant job with feeding and watering.. The Tarantulas are very low maintenance.

I am sure BH and I can work something out - I wish the world was more like this where people traded things rather then money money money all the time..

Thanks for sharin the info bout ya spiders bro I am fascinated by them although until I was in my mid 20`s I had Arachno phobia [hope thats spelt right ] and was scared of most spiders then a saw a docco on TV abouy therapies and a desensitisation over a period . I worked on this theory for a few years. soon after started a family and with 3 girls in the house I became #1 spider wrangler .Used to get these huntsman an wolf spiders [pussies compared to a tarantula I add ] regularly so had to round em up ye haw ! Just a book and a container big enuff to slip over the spidie ,slip the book under while not letting spider escape the anxious part for me while lettin em go outside felt great a sense of closure that I was getting over my fears and was being liberated . Crazy sh1t I know but real for me .Another classic case of perception is reality . I have no such feelings re scorpions or insects same reptiles think it relates to a very early child hood expirence that I cant really remember but involved a spider on my pillow .
Anyway thanks for sharin

I drop heavy books on the b******* from great height. Removes the guilt :P Anything with that many legs can't be trusted! :)

Cheese does indeed have a peculiar smell, not cheese as the silly little kids say ("it's called cheese cus it smells of cheese bro"), i tend to have a rather terrible ability to pick flavours and smells out on their own, all i can really identify at present is musk and lemon.

haha.. Nice story Elmer, Do you want to know something real mad? I am shit scared of spiders but not Tarantulas..

You cruel cruel man!! jk.. Each to their own..

Your right mate about the cheese.. I cant put my finger on the smell.. Its like a mixture between sweat/piss/musk and something else I cant put my finger on..

Not much hapooning in the Doobie Brothers house today..

I received the mono potassium phosphate powder that I ordered and look forward to using it..

I am just waiting on some info on usage etc and then from tomorrow I will probably start using it on the cheese plants in coco..

The Clones are still looking real nice and I can tell you I am really looking forward to getting the aeroflo on the go... Cant wait to see how the plants perform. It would be nice if I had a heavy yielding hybrid strain to go in there but life goes on. The Big Cheese will be ready to clone soon so happy days...

Not much else really.. I grabbed some pics just while I fed them before.. 1 plant is not responding to the changes in feed so I am going to flush it through completely tomorrow night to see if I can make her happy again... She is not down on bud size or solidness etc so I am just doing it because its only fair.. Shame she must feel like the odd one out..

Ohh yea.. How nuts is this.. I was doing the lawn today and thought I needed to take out all the sunflowers etc as they are just gonna make a mess otherwise.. While looking into the flowerbed I notice there is a canna plant growing there... I have no fucking idea how its got there.. Last year a plant grew there but died of frost over the winter.. Could it have re-grown? I seriously dont understand as this plant is about 20cm and budding quite nicely.. mad one hey?

I've some harvest pics i need to throw up somewhere later on :) had to take at week 8 for various reasons but it should be cracking :) As i started trimming and they'd come out of the vented cab, my flatmate commented, "mmm, they don't smell very strong do they, i guess that's good". I told him to hang around for 10 minutes

And it is cruel, i did worse when i was a wee lad, but man, i've tried various methods and such, but well, i'm s*** f*** terrified of the things, can't even poke them with a long stik as i'm convinced it will run the f*** up that stick and well, crawl around on me i guess!

Spiders and open water... /shudder

Are those two close ups the cheese? They don't seem to look like it?

Looking forward to your harvest pics mate.. I always like seeing mature buds :)

They are indeed the Cheese in the closeups mate and I am very confident the plants are indeed the real deal.. When I was given this plant I actually sampled some of the buds from a grow my mate had done and it rang all the cheese bells. He is not the best grower and gave me the plant and asked me to grow it out to see how I went with it..

Can you explain why you think they don't look like cheese please? I don't know enough about what its meant to look like etc to see your side :)

I'll dump every budshot in a second, it just looks strange to me, not quite sure, something about the structure and the colour.
