Monster fish, lol! My local stream is going DRY. In the spring it was well unwadable in chest waders, by May 1, I could cross here and there, and now there are only pockets where it's deep enough for my 50lb dogs to swim (~2'+). The stream I'm near is sexy, but it is prolly 100% freestone (no springs), so I bet it gets to 70+ most of the summer. I went swimming further upstream (much tighter/faster water), and there are a few pools where I was swimming, and the feeder streams keep the banks/bottoms sort of cool. Yo, yesterday I was in a section downstream a bit, and the 'sunny side' was a LEGIT 15 degrees warmer than the 'shade side'. It's all rock, and that part of the stream is exposed, but it was disheartening to know that the trout have to deal with that.
Lol, we ARE in the toughest heat stretch since ~99, and it hadn't rained for 2+wks before it got hot, so what do I expect from the lil crik

Yesterday I was burning some Shit A with all of my house 'open'. Windows, fans, whatever. So I dipped outside for some reason, and my WHOLE STREET stinks of burnt Shit A. Not weed, or good weed... SHIT A. Panic mode, switched down below to vent into the house, rather than through the attic - straight carbon filter. Ok, cool, now I know that I have to be careful burning that cut. Just burn 'in-line' of the carbon filter. So I got to the crik with the dogs, and NO BULLSHIT I was smelling burnt Shit A walking through the woods. I smelled it until I got close enough to pick up the 'stream smell'. I was in straight shorts and a baseball hat, so the smell must have stuck to me and the dogs for ~10 min @30mph in the car. Dangerously strong smell. It WAS 100 degrees, and everything is baking outside, so the smell was more prevalent, but it was a wake-up for me. Most of my cuts smell like haze/sweet/lemon first and foremost. Shit A smells like a skunk's colon first and foremost If I didn't have this imposter SSH#5 (shitsquall!), I would be pissed about the quick tolerence that I've bulit up to the Shit A

Shit is a strain that I've found to have a decent % of 'STANK-ASS' plants. This is prolly the 3rd or 4th one that I've run indoors that is Skunk up front, party in the rear. Last year 2 of my outdoor Shits were on the stank side of things, and 2 were very creamy/churchy/sweet/not citrusy. Those were the first that I saw NOT leaning 'stank'. They were seedplants, and I didn't run cuts of any of the 4 indoors, so direct comparisons are impossible, but they seem to be mostly funky/dookie/pine/deadstuff/musk/spice. My "A" seems to be on the stank side, the "B" seems to be middle of the road (only finished 2 cuts so far, and haven't smoked enough to really make a call), and the "C" seems to be lemony sweet. "C" looks like the yielder (stretchy and done in 9 weeks), while "A" looks like the winner smoke/flavor wise.
FWIW, the Tournament of Champions got all fukked up, and I'm working with the 3 Shit cuts, the G/Sk f2 #2, and the MKaze cuts. Lol, I still need to narrow that down to 2 cuts AT THE MOST, and I NEED one of them to be heavy fire in under 11 weeks (prolly not the MKazes, as my 2 cuts don't really bulk up. Some of the seedplants were FAT ASS).

I burned out my ballast. Yeah, one of the sunleaves ones that I said was built like a tank, and I was SOOO glad that I bought them, as they were cool, quiet, and blah, blah, blah. Lol, anyway, I'm still glad that I bought it, as I'm just dropping it off w/ups, and the online growshop is taking care of me. ~21 months of continious 12/12 use. :eh: I have the 125w dlouro hangin ther now, and I'll add another 42watter till I get the 400cmh back up and at em.

G2, soil, ~7 weeks.
G2, soil, ~4+ weeks.
G1, hempy, ~8 weeks.
G1, soil, ~12+ weeks. Coming down soon, and I'm running the G1 out. She just takes too long to flower. The G2 may end up in the same boat, but I'm REALLY digging her vigor and structure so far.

So yeah, plants dead and dying, and there is a ground hornets nest in the path 'in' to the spot. My stupid ass walked through it twice. The first time was just 1 or 2 stings, but I got whacked going back. Then I ran from the bees through all kinds of prickers in shorts. AND my lil Mr Perfect dog either got stung or caught a thorn in/around his eye.
Not a great day, but I think back to prolly my favorite weed forum signature of all time (and DAMN do I wish I remember where I saw it) - "The sure fire way to fukk up a grow is to place expectations on it." I only expected to have bud to burn from this spot, so I'm not too crushed.

Sorry to hear about you and the pups action with the hornets. my dog likes to bite them for some reason so once a month or so he'll come in with a swollen mouth/throat, then i have to feed him benidryl mixed into some pudding.

Lol, down below is not really cranking right now, sort of pulling through a 'down cycle' wherein the different flower times and a few runted plants caught up to me +/-2 weeks. Down below will be MORE than cranking in ~3 weeks! SuperSpices are beasting, water/food every 2 days, and I have 2 absolute resin MONSTERS @ ~4ish weeks. I'll try to move them under the CMH for pix 2moro.

I know how bees are. Last year my buddy and I went to check on our plants and when we arrived he stepped right into a nest and started freaking out. I didnt know what was going on. I saw him screaming and dancing around like a crazy fool. He got stung about 15 times. Over the next hour or so I couldnt help to laugh and poke jokes at him. On the way down a somewhat steep incline I looked down and my foot landed in a nest. I immediatly was stung probably 10 total times and I ratook off running down the hill screaming like my friend an hour earlier. The bad part is he was behind me when I took off running and he stepped in the same hole I did. He actually thought I was making fun of him again. Needless to say it sucked we were both wearing shorts.

Yo, I was DUE!!! Summer 08, I fukked up my shin pretty good (ran into a braided cable), but no bites or sting events playing forest gardener till today. I feel worse about my Lil dood than anything else. I did the "strip-and-smack" dance when I got back to the car, but first I scratched the shit outta myself running (thank god there were no cables, lol) thru prickers to get outta the woods.
