Im drooling over those crosses your playing around with... looks like your having plenty of fun:D

Hi all,
Thanks for stopping in and taking a look at my girls this season Jay and Rosie :) When you're working with plants with the kind of lineage as these do, its easy to enjoy spending time with them. Below is a photo from the top of the MNS F1 Mango Haze just to give everybody an idea of where we're at with the MH this season.

Hi brock1 :)
Thank you for the compliments, however I assure you its all the genetics. I just sit back and watch em grow really. Below is a picture of one of SSH x MH taken earlier today.

Hi everyone :)
Below is one of four haze hybrid plants I have outside this season, it was actually the first to sex but I wager Roseanne is actually filling in faster at this point.

Hi everyone :)
I think when I look at Roseanne its pretty clear she is throwing back towards the Super Silver Haze mother only on a more sativa profile. In contrast to one of my other SSH x MH which looks pretty similar to the Mango Haze F1 I also have in the garden. Save for the fact its much larger because it was starter earlier in the season. If you look at the pictures I believe from the 4th-9th you can see a noticeable advancement in flowering on Roseanne, I was looking at my albums from this time last season and feel very pleased with where my girls are at this point 2009 in comparison. We've still got quite a ways to go though, but everybody in the garden is looking pretty good and it may even be harvest time within the next 8 - 10 days for some of my more Indica varieties at the plot this year. Clear some room out for the G13 x Skunks and Haze girls for a bit until its time to hunker down for the final stretch of the fall season.

looking great as usual JessE

I was wondering when did the most late plant from your haze hybrids you run started to flower and when do you expect it to finish approx?

btw the flower structure in the last pic reminds me of some of the fast SSH and MH phenos I had come across, what strain is it?

Hey l33t :)
Good to see you stop in, noticed your latest update last night on the NH x MH you have going outside this season. I think all of my haze girls were sexed by mid August this season, but the truth is that it was probably a week at least before that (exclude the F1 Mango Haze who was a few days ahead of last years flowering date). Last season August 18th seemed to be the sexing date for the haze hybrids last year, but I was well ahead of that time this season.

You know Ive been thinking about when these girls will be ready, it was time to call it quits for good around the first week of November last season. I usually let the girls tell me when its time to harvest, as opposed to counting days down waiting to get near the breeders description date lol. :D Ultimately I want them to sit as long as possible though, but a number of factors can determine when its time to pack up shop for the year. Ive still got a little bit of work ahead of me yet, as there's not a chance these plants would make it till harvest without my assistance. Hopefully the next couple months are event free and I can get these honeys in the jar for the holiday season.

I thanks for the quick reply

The outdoor NHxMH are growing well here , I really want to see if they can be grown with no probs in this area and without much care and almost zero ferts , and I hope the flowers will be airy enough to resist mold as I think harvest will be around 15th of Nov but maybe I will have to let em a bit more and if the weather looks good they may be choped late Nov . Good thing here is we have no frost during winter in this area and hope they can survive and keep flowering well even when the temps drop way down.

You are having your hands full this year , great garden and very nice shots too, I cant wait to see how these will look by the time they will be done.

keep up the good work and thanks for the many pics

One thing you're going to want to look out for is a combination of wet and cold. I think the haze lines do very well in lower temperatures, but if your plants are wet and the temperature starts to get low thats not good. So be careful, or you may lose a substantial part of your yield if the dominoes line up correctly (incorrectly in our case). Im not reasonably sure of your location, so its tough to say to be honest with you one way or another. Ive found in the past foreigners have a different idea of the climate in my geography than what is actually the case. So it really is location specific, and even certain area's within a given location can prove to be exceptions rather than the rule.

Not having frost to worry about would make my life much easier haha, unfortunately that's just a fairy tale for me and I know from first hand experience the threat is all to real. I just wanted to share my experience and two cents with you in the event I save some type of catastrophe for yourself or someone else out there reading this in the future. I know we've got some blokes who are running some later than expected lines outside this season, my advice to all is to keep a good eye on the weather for the remainder of the year. Some of us are lucky enough to live in area's where they don't have this problem, others like myself are not so lucky haha. But if you're prepared for it, you can overcome any obstacle.

Just to give an idea of where we were at this time last season, below are some pictures from September 13, 2008. So about two days into the future from this time last year. As you can tell from the pictures on the previous page, we're at a much more advanced stage in flowering than last season.

Hey guys :)
Well everything is coming along nicely outside with the haze plants, however in comparison to the plants I just harvested it sure seems like they're taking an awfully long time lol. My G13 x Skunks are all fine, with recovery from transplant shock coming about seven or eight days after it initially happened. However they are taking quite a long time, and will easily be my latest finishing plants this season. A friend of mine and I often joke about how if its got skunk in it, Ill find it lol. Ive never really been a fan to be honest with you, although I recognize its importance in the breeding world.

Interestingly enough, despite my lack of enthusiasm for the line I will in fact be trying to germinate some very old skunk seeds next season which I dont expect anything from at all. They date back from the late '80s and their germination rates in the past proved to be troublesome. So its possible nothing at all will come of this, but if so you can rest assured this line is in good hands even if Im definitely no skunk man. A few old lines will be brought out for next season actually, hopefully they've stored well in my fridge over nearly the past 10 years.

My haze girls are resinated and very sticky. They're trucking along nicely, in the near future they will be making the move into the green house to finish out the remainder of the year. The Mango Haze F1 is really starting to fill out now, shes enjoying the extra light the harvesting of the predominantly indica plants has brought. As is everybody in the garden actually :).

Hey everyone :)
Things are progressing nicely at this point I think, the SSH x MH are quite a ways ahead of the F1 MNS Mango Haze gal. Shes looking great too, but will most definitely need to finish up in the green house this season. I think its absolutely fascinating how Ive been able to put a dent in the speed of maturation just one generation removed from the breeders offering. I know one thing is for certain, my fingers were sticking together literally 15 minutes after I had been mucking about with the girls back in the forest. :D Thats a very good sign, cant say that Im disapointed with the results of this hybridization at all. It was initially a tough decision, as I could have started with the F1 Mango Haze and F1 Super Silver from the beginning but instead decided to tempt fait and see how my own hybridizations would fair.

Nice haze beasts JessE!

Really beautiful ladies and nicely loaded with buds , you are surely gonna enjoy a great harvest in a few weeks man!

btw I wish you good luck with the old sk line project , hope you get some to germ and you manage to find some nice plants from this batch.

Hi l33t :)
You know I sincerely hope I can get some of these skunk seeds up and running, Im unsure of even how many I have as Ive not even touched the package they arrived in. I found out what they were and they went immediately into my fridge and they havent seen the light of day or hand of man since arriving into my possession a few years ago from europe. A very special line from all indications, hopefully shiva will bring me good fortune next season.
