Hello fellow gardeners

Besides being a pot head , I’m a tea head as well. From all the white, yellow, green and black teas I’ve explored over the years , Pu erh Shou fermeted is the best I found and I rarely drink anything else now.
It’s lower in caffeine than other teas (them self's lower than coffe) but it makes up for it manyfolds. Tea is gentle and profound , compared to coffe . Pu erh - much more so.
The cinese are very clever people , and they devised in the 70’s a fast , wet fermentation process that produces Shou . Sheng , on the other hand, is the ancient, natural , very very slow way of ferm. I like that very much . But I love Shou.
I was thinking maybe try that with bud…. I don’t know ..
The tea method is to wet the dry leaves, pile them up, cover, stir once in a while , according to inside temperature and finaly pressing them in to cakes (in which a slower fermentation will continue).
Anybody heard / did something similar with weed?

Rolo Ishtar,I've slow, wet cured cannabis a few times.I have put buds into a plastic bag while too moist to permanently pack them.Squeeze all of the air out of the bag. Each day take the buds out of the bag and seperate each one from the others it is stuck to.Let air dry for a couple minutes them put them back into the bag putting the ones that were at the bottom of the bag on top .Squeeze all of the air out and seal up til tomorrow.Do this daily for a week and then every other day etc. til dry enough to permanently pack. This process should take 2 to 3 weeks.I do think it brings out the potency and does make the effect more sedative.Buds come out rock hard.My smoke was predominately Indica.Maybe that is what gave it the sedative effect.I hope this helps.👍

Your method sound close to oolong tea.
So it’s drying/curing by levels, basically , if I get it right. And if the fermentation gets out of hand , air dry to necessity. Sounds good , think I’ll try it with some Kush.
Thanks man !
How did you get by this recipe ?

Yes,I think you summerized it well.-- I found the recipe by accident.Years ago when I read that cannabis needs to be "cured" I assumed it meant cured as in tea and tobacco.Starting out with a wetter material. In my way of thinking they really meant "aged"-- packed dry and let sit.So I cured some the tobacco way and I liked it.The past few years I have been lazy and simply air dry and pack it away.Best wishes for your project.

I know it is slightly different topic.

But It kind off shares the categhory.

Someone close to me had overdried weed
- so he mist it with the water every day, whilst keeping in closed plasatic bag
- everyday bring it to the air, he let it dry for a while and then again till the weed was OK again

The flavonoids kept reappeared after few days and the weed was not rought.
He saved the weed this way !
