Welcome to the Chai Shop.
This is going to be a place for me to not only document my adventures in growing but a place for everyone to chat about all thing cannabis and more. A kind of "Random thread" if you will. I've looked around and i can't seem to find a general purpose space for all to come together to shoot the shit..

So here it is.
Obviously there are a couple of Shop rules.
There is enough algorithmic division in the world we do not need it also smeared all over the shop .

1) Please follow the site T.O.U
2) Is an important one, Be nice to one another.

Other than that please feel free to post and converse freely.

I'm a lover of old-school cannabis..
I have access to the new new clones coming from the states but have yet to like one of them for my personal smoke. Sure they look great and taste nice, but as i've mentioned else where, i find they mostly have the same high. Which the kids seem to love, but then anyone impressed by shiny cartoon packaging and 30% thc claims... Well enough said..

Now, whether it is due to the higher thc content or the elevated terpene numbers or that they merely have a common ancestor which rings down the line, which i don't like. Who knows.. Perhaps i'm just weird lol

Anywho, the Mrs & I are not chronic consumers by any means, not anymore lol

Here some old-school flowered out...

This one i call Felix's afghan, although it is rumored to be 90's Chronic x Northern lights or Chronic x Hindu kush.
I guess we'll never know because Felix is sadly no longer with us..
That said Swiss guys may remember it being called Heaven, under which it won a Swiss cup in 2001-3 ish, i can't be quite sure.

Anyway, it has a deep acetone funk and heavy thunderous effect.
A perfect day ender. Soothes general aches & pains with ease.

Never said enough? It’s a worthy subject to toss around.
The more I consume low thc, bland whispy flowers, the more I wonder why?
Are these 30%ers a bit safer, predictable, benign and clinical if their single focus pursuit of the stone.
One dimensional springs to mind.
It wasn’t better in the last century, well it was lol, but weed to me has lost its multidimensional random infinite possibilities, based on my small sample size.
It’s a different market, right or wrong, better or worse, I don’t know, but it’s still an exciting sphere of interest.

The problem imo is to many "Breeders" if you can call them that, are using to fewer plants.

Everything's Gelato x this of that, then whack a candy gas name on it an your away.
It's funny because cannabis has never been grown more, think of the huge grow in California etc but the diversity of plants grown has never been fewer. "When it becomes solely about profit something dies" - My old mate..

This is a clone only called Psychosis, terrible name right?
Anyway, it's not known exactly what it's genetic makeup is, but if i had to guess i'd say it's a Shiva skunk or Cheese x northern lights.
Ether way it's loud stinky stuff and also great for back pain i'm reliably informed...

Apologies for my late reply.
This is the original psychosis mother, so probably the mother they used to make their crosses.
I never grew any of the ugorg lines, but know they relied heavily on the three big ticket cuts, the cheese, livers/blues and psychosis..

If i were asked, which very few people do lol
all three are cheese crosses imo and simply represent good skunk coming out of Amsterdam at the time.(90's)

I hear you guys on the strains coming from the states. Tried a few and didn't like them much at all. The jazzy/hype names seem to command a high price tag too!

Thought I would stop in with a few more shots of the Isaacs Haze at almost 13 weeks. Nitrogen was tapered off around week 9 and feed ratio is being dropped with each watering. She will get water only for the next 7 or so days running up to harvest at week 14

Unfortunately one of the top buds (top left in the above picture) had to get a small trim, my dehumidifier decided to stop working and a few days passed before I got a replacement, resulting in some bud rot 😢 Thankfully it was minimal

The way the flowers fill out on this girl is very impressive, yields are massive, I think this pheno is quite AG13 leaning.

Here is another clone put into flower around 25cm, she has stretched to around 90cm at 3 weeks. This is the first time growing under led for me and a bit of a learning curve, I shocked them with the light being too intense at 75% for the first week, though they bounced back when the percentage was dropped to 25%. The led does seem to stop them stretching just so much which is good for haze varieties.

It's been a long time! What I've tried the last few years hasn't been good. The straws in the fridge give me hope of finding another great Skunk.

I too have very little space, but would like to grow haze hybrids...
Would be interested to hear your experience once you've sample it..

For the first time, I’ve had two sprouts grow from a single seed—by the way, this happened with three Devils seeds, and yesterday I found this oddity in an Early Haze as well—hey @shantibaba , what are you feeding those mother plants? 🤣💪

I’ve read that this twin is either a classic twin—meaning it resulted from crossing two varieties and its sex isn’t determined by anything—or the second possibility is that it’s (through some biochemical process) an exact copy of the mother of this hybrid.
I managed to separate and am successfully maintaining one of the Devil twins, which could theoretically be a pure Afghani used in the Devil cross.
This theory seems too amazing to be true.
That’s why I’m interested in your opinions and experiences with this strange botanical phenomenon, and what you think of the theory I found online? 😊💚
