Neville's Haze, in search of a keeper

I finally found time this week to make all the cuts for back up.
Should have done it earlier...
I pruned the remaining branches in order to get some uniformity, will see how it goes and probably will prune some more when needed into flowering.
Flowers only have tot be good enough to see what cuts are worth running again with full attention.

I noticed scents that are completely of the charts: complex camphor/cola/fabric softner/cleaner/perfumes that peaked my interest.
Unique and very promising.:)
On the other hand I encountered the most number of plants that showed some nodes with 3 branches on them as well as nodes with a single branch and also more flatter stems.
First time I see this kind of anomalies in greater numbers with MNS.

Here is how it looks now after butchering them up:

Flowering starts tomorrow with a 11/13 lighting schedule.
Males will be removed as soon as I see them.
I will fill the pots with fresh soil and some guano after the biggest stretch. They have light feedings from now on.
It is a daunting task to keep them healthy now.

Believe it or not but there are 47 cuts here in these 2 small trays.

Everything is labeled correctly and double checked, no margin for errors now (I was sober doing this).
Glad that this part is over, I sometimes forget the work that this takes to pheno hunt in bigger numbers.

Just checked the cuts and I saw some light white fuzz on a couple of the peat cubes I use for rooting.
This worries me a bit, I can't afford to loose any clones now.

I have lifted the domes from the trays so that it could dry a bit more and I was thinking of making a h2o2 solution of 1,5% tomorrow and water this with a dropper on each cube.

Some growers with cloning experience opinion please.

If you look closely you can see it on in the lowest tray: bottom, right side.
The second clone from the right (fat stalk) has some?

Iam aswell seeing this on plugs lately...

Wasnt happening to me before some time..

I still didnt figured out how to get rid of it completely, other then let it dry and keep it dry on the top part and trying to water from bottom.
Only other thing I obey now, is lower frequency of watering..

The only casualty I did have, was when this white thing climbed onto the stems of cut.
That has weakened young plant big time.
 
Don't know much about clones or rockwool but know a bit about chemistry. Rockwool products are inorganic which provide no food source for mold to grow. Mold needs food to grow. In that sense it is impossible for mold to grow in/on rockwool. Unless a food source is spilled onto the rockwool. Sloppy with feeding? Some type of food for mold is getting on your rockwool. I'm not there so Think! Food-Mold-Humidity.

The mold can be cleaned using your typical H2O2 solution as clones are VERY similar to seeds and plants. Simple chemistry. Start with a mild solution and see what happens.

I had this kind of white fuzz on my Eazy Plugs, too. I scratched of the top 3-5 mm of the surface and let it dry out a little. To avoid it to come back I reduced the RH under the dome and watered the cutting less often.
That worked fine for me and I never lost a cutting.

Over the years I used 2 brands for peat plugs, Root!t and Eayplugs.
I never encountered this problem until 1-2 years ago with the Root!t brand.
I always try to buy a couple of bags in a promotion and I noticed that there was white mold growing (like I see now) inside a already opened but also a fresh bag.
I did order again online some time later from a different country/shop and saw it again.
These plugs are pre-moistened so I thought that this could be the reason.

After changing to Easyplugs i never saw this again until now.

It is assuring to hear that not all is lost.(y)

Thank you very much Longball for your thoughts on the matter and I agree with you completely!
Rockwool is inert and the safer bet here but I do have a history working with rockwool and it is not my prefered medium to root.
I will keep you posted here with how this goes.

I was awake early this morning to start the treatment.
I made some better pictures this morning of the problem:

Only a couple of cubes are infected so far.

As said I made 1,5% solution with tap water and fed it with a dropper until each cube was saturated with the solution and let the excess drain of before putting them back in the dome. I gave the dome itself a wipe with the solution also.
I heared the h2o2 react (fizz) in the cubes after applying it, this is good!
The white mold is gone now, I can't see any trace of it anymore.
They will be inspected everyday and re-treated if I see new mold forming.

Next time I make cuts I will presoake the cubes in the same solutions for a couple of hours prior to using them.
Until now I used tap water to do this.

If I see that this method works I will stick with it. If not I will follow Pree's and Mr. Browns way.
It took me a few years to learn my way and I almost always have roots on every cut so I don't want to change things quickly.
I tend to keep the plugs very moist until I see roots.

Fingers crossed and I will udate here.

I really like the Eazy Plugs because it's an easy way to root your cuttings. But I do it the other way arround. I spray the leaves every day and let the plugs dry out a little between watering. It seems that it works both ways.
I put the last cuttings I took a week ago directly in a light TLO soil mix. We will see how this way works.

The first 24h after making the cuts I leave it on and then I start with daily venting.
The vents on the lid are each day opened a little more and after around 5 days they stay wide open.
I try not to spray them anymore with water after making the cuts but do keep the cubes moist.
What's the climate like for you right now outdoors?

High humidity / mold spore count?

About your problems with the Jiffy "soil" cubes, it's sad but these cubes from what I know work quite badly even without mould.
I tried these things a long time ago. Half the cuttings had rotted away... The air doesn't circulate enough in these cubes and they retain too much water, not to mention their tendency to rot since they're organic matter.

Use rockwool cubes, for cuttings that's best. Or if you don't like rockwool, perlite works pretty well too.

Now that the damage is done, if you have calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) you can try adding a little, diluted in water whit ajusted pH, to limit the problems, as it kills almost any fungus instantly.

Hi Swifty, peat moss naturally contains beneficial bacteria, one of which is called "Streptomyces'. Most people assume that peat is sterile, but it's not unless a manufacturer intentionally makes it sterile. Here in Canada, I always use the Pro-Mix brand of peat moss, which isn't sterile. That white fuzz looks, to me, like a Streptomyces mycelium bloom. If that's what it is, then it's beneficial.
