Same name but no idea if the strain they sell is in any way related to the buds they used to sell in the Dampkring.

The story told by Kisi Seeds is that it came from some Spanish guys.

No idea if that's true.

TSB NL#5XSk#1 = SS Shiva Skunk...

When I got it Nevil was calling it "NL5 x SK1" I think you're right, Sensi called it Shiva Skunk. They used the same picture at least. As to whether it was really the same? Who knows? What's really funny is Sensi is still using Nevil's old pictures from the late 80's for some of their strains.

I can assure you it was exactly the same strain...at least until 1996 when Nevil definitively left Sensi.

Peace.

as for me bull shiting? well go ask the owner of breedbay, guy called pistils, he is a personal friend of mine who also run a growshop where a brought all my equipment..

A Personal Friend Who You Incriminate By Posting On A Public Forum That He Knowingly Supplied You With Grow Kit For A Commie Grow ??
I've Heard It All Now

So tell us what desirable traits Cheese has beyond:

1. easy to clone
2. easy to grow
3. always stinks the same

apart from that it's a poor representation of skunk, there are several much better cuttings in the UK that are similar.

People who think Cheese is really good weed obviously don't know what really good weed is, this is the end result of 20 years of inbreeding depression leading to all the commercial seeds out there now being watered down versions.

Remember, the Cheese wasn't selected, it was found by a couple of guys doing one of their first grows and they ignorantly thought all the females would be the same so they only cloned one of them. This was well before it began flowering so it was a random pick.

Having grown plenty of derivations of skunk dating back to the 80s and a couple from the 70s, I know for a fact that Cheese is a very substandard plant compared to the best that Skunk has to offer. Sure, the current versions of Skunk being sold by the Dutchies are all watered down homogenised inbred garbage and by comparison Cheese does seem good.

People old and experienced enough to know how much the quality of commercial seeds has declined can clearly see what a joke the current offerings are, and when 'breeders' are spouting off how Cheese is great then it's not going to change anytime soon. Cheese represents the bare minimum of quality to be acceptable as good weed, because there is a lot of worse shit on the market people have been fooled into thinking Cheese is special. It isn't, it's at the bottom of the spectrum of good and there are several levels of quality above Cheese that are getting harder and harder to obtain because 'breeders' are full of shit these days and almost all of them don't know what they're doing.

When your goal is to stabilise mediocrity then the best you can expect is sarcastic laughter, how the hell can someone like rockster be expected to breed anything good when he thinks Cheese is really good? It beggars belief that people will swallow this bollocks, just shows how long it's been since there were top notch seed varieties for sale.

Blah blah blah...

The Exodus clone was a Skunk#1 cutting that when it was held by the original person it changed over time, getting more intensely cheesy and then it was passed onto the Exodus collective and hence how it got its name.

It's just an honest bit of pot that is medium in strength but it's high and taste is very much liked by many. It's popular and nobody is making a claim to it being the best pot on earth but I do claim I've got it into a reliable seed form
and I've yet to have one single person my cheese doesn't do what it says on the tin.

So you don't rate cheese, fine, but please shit can the cannabis snobbery and get your facts right about the Exodus before spouting off nonsense.

No, I don't think that is an Exodus clone as it's far too developed as regards bud size for 5 weeks.

Hi, when i first picked up a watering can i tried sk#1 and can still remember smells, very very fruity no skunk smell only five alive fruity smell was very narcotic.im gutted übe missed cheese we thought it was a laughjoke when er First heard about a weed called cheese ,lve had psycosis but didnt enjoy Not e.njoyable for me .grim reaper appeerd when i smoked it .most growers i use to know in uk havnt a clue what theyre growing they just take what ever cutz are available ,no Name of every Name .peace t

Let's talk facts then.

Plants don't change over time, to say it did and became progressively more cheesy is completely wrong. Explain how a plant can change over time. It is impossible unless the genes were altered by an external mutagen such as a virus or a chemical.

Females don't become mystically male, therefore your entire line about pure Cheese is wrong.

I honestly have no idea whether you're crazy, a liar or both. Probably both.

Hi rockster i heard you where going to cross suicide cheese with your strains?? any truth to this cheers Shogun

Ey'up shogun,
i tried some suicide cheese from seed the other day!!
it was from some suicide X shimla from Voodoo and Sonic, some of the offspring were dead on suicide cheese.
i dont know if they have any plans to release it yet though, i really enjoyed it.

hello B'H,
the Blueberry X NLX i put down i got 1 good female from, she is monsterous, very NLX dom, cant actually see anything else in her. you can see why the NLX was a popular commercial strain in holland as the colas are just massive!

all the best,
Riz.
:)

Hi shogun,

yes mate, I have indeed crossed it with cheese#1 and they'll be grown out shortly.

@orangutang. Plants do indeed change with time given the conditions to do so. So what is a sport?

It's a spontaneous mutation and occurs throughout nature and for your info the human zygote undergoes around 128 mutations and therefore changes within one's lifetime.

And I agree, plants don't mystically reverse sex but do so through the action of gynase and andrase according to info in the book Hemp Husbandry by Robert A. Nelson.

So I'm sorry if it sounds incredible to you but this has occurred in others growrooms too and I've found info pertaining to this phenomenon and it's all quite straight forward really, magic not required. :)

That's good to hear Riz, she did yield like hell, but I had the problem that some of em just wouldn't finish, they would just keep going and going and going and getting bigger and bigger, problem being the colas got so big that the inside would rot while the outside was still putting out new growth.

This was with a 250W CFL, nearly 2oz cola and she had a second cola nearly as big :)

i was wondering about the finishing times as we are at 9 weeks and she looks like she will go quite a few more! i will give her as long as the haze's i have going but will keep an eye out for rot as she is quite meaty.
nice buds, mine are a fair bit denser but they are under 600w.
will get some pics taken before chop.
cheers.
Riz.

That's the problem, some of them, they will go as long as you let em, that one pictured I let go 100 days but could have taken her any time from 70 on really.

Huge but fluffy buds, foxtailed a lot, you could taste the blueberry in some of them, but it wasn't that floral, more a meaty sweetness, reminded me of fry's Turkish Delight.

I got around 20 of em going now, 7 are in 12/12 for a week, the rest still vegging but will go into 12/12 soon. This time I have some much more indica looking ones, I just want to find a really BB dom one as that BB was as good as anything I've had in flavour terms and had such a warm soft comfortable high.

This one I took at 84 but was maybe a little overdone and 75 would have been about right, but hey, it hit hard with all those ambers. I had some spider mites that run and heat issues that might have increased the foxtailing a bit, I'm still not sure where the sativa flowering time and foxtailing came from, recessive outta the BB maybe, I never ran many NLX to know what that strain was like, I just picked a huge yielding one that had tons of vigour, a very commercial thing, I just wanted to bulk up the BB.

Hi Riz,this is my new online name lol ya think i'll get many offers?

Glad you thought the same about that bit of smoke you tried, she did smell very cheesey growing but you always wonder if you are letting any effect your descision. There were 2 this run which where that pheno but after grwoing ch#1 i can honestly say there are more cheesey phenos in the ch#1,this girl would require one more incross for me to feel confident about saying that we got cheese into seed form using normal breeding methods.

Alright Rockster, how's tricks you cantankerous old bastard?[it's voodoo by the way-i've had a sex change and feel i wanna shout to the world about it ;)

Hey Shogun the suicide is a yeidler, sorry to say the opposite of what you are but are you sure that your source is legit?I've grown the suicide a few times now and last run got 5.73 k from 5400wts,so over a g/w,in soil with drippers,no boosts such as pk- plus we had to cut down early and throw away ten ounce of rot.

Aint it a twat when someone flat out contradicts you?i personally can't stand it but felt for the honour of the suicide lady that i had to speak up,not tryin to piss on your parade fella.

the plant i have going now is starting to foxtail, she is quite plump in the calyxes too (very few dying pistils though), due to the stupid weather i have been getting close to 30-31c and had to shut down a light to lower it,
i think i will let her run to between 75-80 days (are at 64days atm)
