now is the test for the reveging ones here bucketbong ,
with the first storms , combined with the days getting longer faster ,
the ones that will do it ,, are about too ...
nothing like c99 or crosses of t hose t ypes will ,,
but im watching the mns nevils haze and mango closely ...

So I have been sitting home reading the haze grail thread and smoking back to back bongs bowls and Ls of the first strain I started growing with.... :) mr nice (hashplant x G13) kind of sick that the first strain I would grow came from the breeders that would intern inspire my early cannabis growing life! So hours have passed an I have learned so many amazing things obout nev and mns :) I also see kanga's very impressive grows previous on another thread. I then find out these 2 normal guys can come together on this site network and bring together their great minds and strains in an effort to make our community as a whole better. All to be ruined because people have their own demons that they have to deal with and they are suffering and don't want to alone so they disturb a good thing. :( well why I posted here is not to try to amend things or try to ask people to get along because as hard as us good hearted people try there are always other that will hate on you. I am interested in any information on current efforts for this haze grail strains. Is nev and kanga still on this someone shoot me a link or help me out with some info. Thanks all back to smoking and reading!

Kanga

Kanga,

I'm sorry you left mate. I enjoyed speaking to you, and your a damn fine grower, and person. You deserve well wishes, and great green harvests. Be blessed wherever you are...Ns

P.S. Your tress make me a bit jealous mate...lol, but with the back screwed up. I couldn't deal with them, but would try...lol. Best to you mate...Ns

heres a quote from robert clarkes book to back up what ive said ...

>>>Even if a grower has no desire to attempt crop improvement, successful strains have to be protected so they do not degenerate and can be reproduced if lost. Left to the selective pressures of an introduced environment, most drug strains will degenerate and lose potency as they acclimatize to the new conditions.<<<<<

yes but :

i would know if i'm right

when a strain is aclimatize to a new condition, the grower select it for is growing traits(early maturation ) ! but after that he can select the aclimatized strain for his effects ! so ...
but the light and the sun is different also so i agree the effects could'nt be the same even if the grower make some good selection !
another way is is the darkening technic during summer .

http://www.mrnice.nl/dhtml/uploads/WW2springharvest.pdf

I would recommend
using the darkening system
again once the plants
begin to naturally go into the
flowering phase which would
be expected to occur in August.
The reason for this is to make
sure that the potential of the
flower is reached without failure
since there are times in
Nature where cloud cover or
poor light can adversely affect
the end result. Darkening a
plant means you can count on a
due completion date plus or
minus a few days…which
means you can work out dates
where you will need help and
so forth.
There are ways to go on and do
a further crop with the use of
supplementary light and Sativa
predominant plants, but we will
discuss this in the future as it is
costly and needs a lot more specific
type of species, but it is possible.
Most people who try this
technique of darkening become
convinced of this cost effective
method and excellent yield per
plant and may find it very difficult
to go back to growing
indoors with lights(unless it is
over the winter months). So if
you are in a position to convert
a small greenhouse or tunnel
and are able to make the commitment
and investment of regular
darkening system, I assure
you it will change how you view
growing. In fact I would suggest
it will be the beginning of a
quantum leap in your development
as a primary producer

Ok just gotta do a bit of spring cleaning, open the windows and get rid of this moldy smell in here and Ill be back in business.
Seems like u guys arent very good at house keeping while no one is home:D

Ok lets start with a nice top of a SSH x Oaxacan Widow reaching for the sky under a nice springtime Aussie sun......sorry guys it will have to be a small pic until my good mate Bushy comes along and does his thing:D. I am a bit slack for that:o

Now that shit's as sensual as a young woman's yoni

upside down moulin rouge bet it tastes like honey

then you grabs a microscope and zoom in on the pistils

realise that the trichomes look like mushrooms cocks and pistols...

Jeez its a pink explosion:D

Yes Bushy it has a nice soft old school smell to it. This crossed to the Oaxacan is going to be a beautiful assult on the sences.....couple more days and she will be tested:D

Longhorn...I will put up pics of some candidates and crosses already chosen and done.
Selecting the right males is the hard part......I like to smoke mine to find the right ones and as soon as they are big enough I am about to.

As most people know I did a few crosses using a SSH female that I selected and males from my strains.
I must say the combining of some very old strains has cause a hybrid vigour that all I can say is astonishing.....of course the pics I am putting up is the Sativa leaning phenos, which predomantly have the Male side showing through.
The first shot was taken on the 18/10/11 and the second shot a month later 16/11/11.
This is a SSH x Highland Oaxacan White Widow, although I would say there wouldnt be much of the Widow left in this strain as I did the cross mid to late 90's and since then have always chosen the more Sativa dominant males crossed to the best females.

In the 3rd shot u can see the SSH x OW on the left then the SSH x MM right and behind is the Oaxacan Widow x Shanti's Mazar also taken on the same date.

Hey Kanga, in regards to the pink pistils do you find that those plants have a similar stone ? More potent than others ? Or just a trait unrelated to the potency or high ?

I have a shit plant showing lovely pink pistils in the cool weather we are having down hear, even the young clones with preflowers are showing the trait ..

I found this pink plant to be very potent , tho I have no other shit plants ATM to compare it to .... It was a single female from 4 seeds.

Hi mate.....I dont think the pink pistils really make any difference to the strength as I have numerous different strains that show pink and they are not always the strongest. I also had a Shit that showed pink but it was not the one chosen to breed with, same with the Nordle.
Some seem to show it predominantly and others only in cooler weather.
I am trying to breed a nice plant for my wife and of course she likes the pink even though green is her favourite colour, but where the heck am I going to get a green pistil plant from..lol
So mate I really dont think pink, purple or any different colours really tell you if it is potent or not.....but if you have a potent pink plant all the better.....clone it:D

Oaxacan Widow x SSH as a seedling and one month later...
