Hey bro, yup Im fairly sure Shanti mentioned somewhere along the way there was no Thai in the MNS NL.
Well keep in mind the MNS Haze lines in question are among, if not the oldest representations’ of the Haze line. So if the MNS Haze originates from 1969, and its touted as a Thai x Columbian variety how can one infer that Thai came later in the haze’s development considering the MNS Haze is among, if not the oldest Haze lines still in commercial use today? The only way Sam’s description of the Thai coming later in the Hazes development could tie in with the MNS Haze varieties is if the MNS lines were later examples. However, we know that’s not the case. So Sam states Thai came later, however the MNS haze lines are said to predate those of Sam the skunk man and are touted as Thai x Columbian varieties. So when you put some thought into it, and believe me, I have, your way of putting the puzzle together won’t quite match up because you’re trying to work with pieces from two different puzzles. If the MNS haze is the oldest, then how could Sam’s notion of Thai coming later in the breeding of Haze match up? I find it hard to use Sam the skunk mans descriptions to fill in the blanks for MNS varieties personally. So again, I definitely feel a distinction has to be made between which Haze varieties we are talking about.
To sit down with the big man and pick his brain in great detail would be a pleasure for sure. Shanti would avoid me like the plague afterwards, because I could bring a book of questions lol.
Merry Xmas all.
According to SamS , the Haze Bros' Haze (HazeBros' 'Original Haze') was made from Colombian and Mexican , with Thai and S.Indian that were introduced at later point during its development :
