The Great Cheese Deception

Hi everyone,
I’m glad this thread is getting the attention that it deserves, without question there are many "different" Cheese varieties floating around out there. And each and every one of them is touted as being the original too, go figure right? We've seen this phenomenon over and over again on the boards, with every Jack, Sally and Joe claiming to have the next Holy Grail variety or the next big thing.

The original picture of Cheese posted in the beginning of this thread is the first and real cheese plant presented to the online community many years ago now. It’s the picture that started it all, only today we see an untold number of "authentic" Cheese varieties which look absolutely nothing like the original. In fact they rarely even look the same as the other guy claiming to have the original as well.

I’ve got no doubt many people own a clone called 'Cheese', but pictures are there for all to see and decide for themselves. I noticed this particular subject really getting out of hand, and considering I remember a time before 'Cheese' was ever mentioned on the cannabis boards as a strain of marijuana I thought to make sure any eye who crosses this thread leaves with the truth. There are many ordinary, down to earth, everyday people at MNS and there will continue to be others who find their way here in the future. These people will find a mountain of bullshit awaits them, just like myself and many of you out there have found upon our introduction to the cannabis community. This thread, subject and others like it have been created with those individuals in mind.

Yeah but over time cloneing after cloneing... different temps environments it would genticly change?

How come you dont have a real cheese clone then?.

Genotypes don't change...phenotypes (the expression of that genotype) can change, but the genes don't change unless you're playing with chemicals...Cheese is a specific expression of Skunk #1, and probably not all that rare if you know what to search for within the same genetic pool...hardly a must-have cut:eek:...jay:)

Hi Jesse,
i've actually enjoyed reading your articles, apart from your Uk Cheese one. I can tell you the real Uk Cheese clone is 100% still alive and in circulation around the UK. Obviously there is fakes around like everything nowadays, but trust me it is around and relatively easy to find if you know the right people.

Also noticed part of your article where you said something along the lines of "the Uk Cheese is just a regular Skunk #1 and not to fall for the hype surrounding the name", it is a regular Skunk #1 selection/find, and everyone knows this, everyone knows it's just a plain old pheno of Skunk #1. Just like every strain out there (or pheno) it is giving a name as a form of identification.

As i said mate i enjoyed reading/watching the subjects you've covered but when you directly tried to brand the UK in the manner you did in the 'Cheese Deception' vid you didn't do yourself any favours, and when your associating those type of views with the Mr Nice company name/brand it will definately push the UK growers in the opposite direction.

Please don't take this in the wrong way, i'm just giving you an honest opinion on what alot of folk are thinking.

A spin of the UK Cheese wheel

Hi all,
Below are a variety of authentic UK Cheese varieties. The owners of these various cuts are all absolutely sure theirs is the true UK Cheese as well.

reply to "Cheese" thread

I was just logging on to MNS Forums and seen "Cheese" as most recent post-nosey person that I am and plus had a friend bring some Cheese and Lowrider seeds back from Amsterdam I had to check out, actually just skimmed over the thread and looked at some pics, I noticed one pic had some very thin leaves another pic below showed a more squat wide leaf "Indica" plant, variation or maybe someone hung the Cheese name on it-I wouldnt have a clue but from what I understand Cheese gets its name and smell from being bred down from a skunk strain -either way, I think its best to get our seeds straight from the source to be sure we are getting what we are paying for and also make sure the breeder is a reliable source and honest, anyway whatever your growing and showing looks like your doing a very good job because those plants are beauties! It does seem like whatever indusry we get into, if it has anything to do with genetics it becomes a game of truth seeking as in truth of breeding/pedigree

jesse honest man, I am sick of the sight of that picture now, anytime I see it im like, here we go, how many times have you posted that picture on the internet as the real deal UK Cheese? who gives a shit, not me, was interested a little at the start, but as I say, im sick of the sight of that picture, if you say its cheese jesse then its cheese, lol, you WIN, cant be arsed with this thread anymore, wont be looking back in it.

If you look at page7 at the bottom at that picture if you was to cut back the leaves take a it outside and take a picture it would look exactly like JessE first picture which he claims the real cheese dont you think :P?.

So your saying if i get packet of Sensi skunk#1 i basicly have cheese?

it's highly unlikely....it was a rare pheno back then and i think the breeding stock in sensi's skunk#1 has changed since then...but thats the best place to start looking for a male to cross the uk cheese with :)

Hello everybody, hello JessE :)

The picture of the first post is not the UK Cheese Exodus cut :

3480d1219057104-original-exodus-cheese-gallery-ch11_119-1-.jpg

This picture was largely distributed by Queijo/HHF on icmag and others forums, it is his Kachina cut.

The Kachina is a cross between UK Cheese (Exodus cut) and a Trainwreck mâle.

This cut is called "false Cheese" in some circles, because at beginning Queijo said it was the Original Cheese cut, but it was not. The breeder Dubi in Spain had the real Exodus cut before receiving this false Cheese cut , so he told us this Queijo cut was not the real Cheese.

And of course the picture is modified with Photoshop, the Kachina cut is frosty but never like that.

I have Exodus cut, I love his taste, very original and old school, you can see it in my topic here.

I have friends who have tried both Exodus cut and Kachina cut, and they say the Kachina cut is very nice, too. Maybe less tasty but more potent, I have to check that, so I will try it soon.

You are welcome to visit the vibes collective international forum, there are some topics where we talked about UK Cheese and Kachina ;)

Best vibes to you !

Hi lemarcel, :)
The picture of the first post is not the UK Cheese Exodus cut :

No, thats the original UK Cheese first presented to the online public many years ago now. Much like we see with the numerous versions of the kush story around the boards, once one story is busted another is quickly assimilated in its place. And before you know it there are a dozen or more theorys and storys associated with how a variety came to be et cetera.

The UK Cheese hype really is a by-product of the elite clone scenario that started to play itself out many years ago now at OG and CW. Back in the early days of the online cannabis forums UK Cheese wasnt even mentioned by british posters, but rather the main topic of conversation centered around other varieties of marijuana. Among the very first strains to really receive some air time in the hype department was blueberry, and it was the strain everybody wanted to get ahold of. The talk of the town, the life of the party. The amount of hype behind it originally was the beginning of many more attempts to push strains to come. Next came Trainwreck, the first best strain there is from California of the hyped clone varieties. Once that affect wore off, then came the OG and Bubba Kush varieties and so on and so forth. The blue print for how to push your varieties on the online cannabis boards has been laid out long ago now.

The Kachina is a cross between UK Cheese (Exodus cut) and a Trainwreck mâle.

Ive actually smoked Trainwreck straight from California, it was among the first "elite" California clone only varieties to start making its way around the boards. The problem is there were no TW males to use to make a "Kachina cut."

This cut is called "false Cheese" in some circles, because at beginning Queijo said it was the Original Cheese cut, but it was not. The breeder Dubi in Spain had the real Exodus cut before receiving this false Cheese cut , so he told us this Queijo cut was not the real Cheese.

There would be your problem, taking information from Dubi and company at Ace Seeds who are no strangers to bullshit stories themselves. Its these types of individual who run shady and purposely misleading schemes in the seed industry that do a complete disservice to our community. They prey on the ignorance and weakness of others, but with a little research and common sense one can see right through their sherade.

Woodhorse Seeds provided seeds of Trainwreck, for exemple on the website meduser.ca :

http://www.meduser.ca/seeds.php

Next on the list is: "Trainwreck"

A brain thumping, Sativa, soaring high. Comes on strong as a freight train, finishes in the typical ultra-heady Sativa manner! Very medicinal. People become hooked on it like a hard drug. Old school California taste. Dense rock hard nuggets. Next to no leaf. Light green with small calyxes. Thin stem, small buds. Legend has it it was started in the early 80’s by a couple of brothers in San Diego. Mexican X Columbian, with a hint of Afghani.
After 10 or 12 years, somehow a clone was let out, and the madness has started. It has thrived and been mastered in Humboldt County for 12-14 years.

This is unbelievable pot. (90% Sativa / 10% Indica)

I imagine it was an outcross of the Trainwreck clone, but these seeds existed, so a male could have been chosen by Queijo to cross the Exodus cut.

A lot of breeders do that, for exemple THSEEDS for the MK-ULTRA, they said the lineage is (OG Kush X G13), how is it possible ? They simply used a G13/Skunk male frome Shantibaba (G13 x Skunk#1) X Skunk#1).

When did Queijo presented this picture to people exactly ? Because Exodus cut was found in 1988.... and there were not any forums at this time.

Exodus cut is described to "stay green" in flowering (the buds stay green), and the Kachina cut of the picture is all white (and too white to be real lol, or it is not cannabis).

Here is the description of the Kachina V3 (seeds) from Queijo : http://www.breedbay.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=13131

For over three years we have inbred, back crossed and selected the finest of plants within the Trainwreck genepool and have selected special males to combine perfectly with our Cheese clone derived Skunk 89 line, a 4 times incrossed Cheese derivative.

Kachina V3.0 is a carefully worked line targeting the indoor grower and delivering a unique plant line with great depth of flavours and exceptional quality of high. At V3 the line is a stable F1 and only in larger populations is diversity seen.

The addition of our selected Trainwreck males removes the somewhat cloudy and centred effects of the Cheese clone but loses none of the potency of either parental line. The TW adds citrus and lemon flavours over the dank Skunk traits of the Cheese derived Skunk 89 selection.

Over three generations we have sought the perfect combination of plants and we believe Kachina V3 is improved over previous versions of this line.

Kachina delivers a potent, Sativa dominant high. Its special ''without ceiling'' properties make it a unique and potent Sativa dominant for the indoor grower. Combined with a unique quality of high, wonderful deep flavours of sweet citrus fruits, which delight the palate and stimulate the senses in all ways.

The plants grow to typical Skunk type shapes and traits if left untrained, but respond very well to training and also deliver exceptional yields of a unique, highest quality product in organic gardens. Some plants will develop purple and pink blushes to underside of leaves, traits carried over from the TW males.

Have you tried the exodus cut ? or the kachina cut ?

Best vibes to you my friend :)

Marcel

Ps : Sorry I just finished to read all the topic, and DrBenway, British Empire, shiva420, herb and others were right....

Please do not be stubborn my friend, to err is human.... the Exodus cut is extactly this one herb posted on page 7, easily recognizable with the "green buds" ;)

Peace and best vibes :)

ya know I been looking at this plant picture a few times over the years ,
and it appears to me that it was not grown outdoors at all and is quite apparent that it is a
Boque' of Manicured Flowers, NOT a Live Growing Plant
probably held close to camera to give that BIG FISH appearance
no sign of insect damage to the stems,no brown or off colored leaves or even any leaves ,so I feel it is most likely indoor grown or at least a
quality green house...so that in itself discredits any claim to its true identity,
regardless of who made them originally.
I grow outdoors and this ain't an outdoor plant.
3480d1219057104-original-exodus-cheese-gallery-ch11_119-1-.jpg

Now of course I was not there and have no proof,
but Ive seen my fair share of outdoor skunk sinsemila and that is my opinion...

I want all you UK Cheesers to send me a nice sample and I will test them all,
I promise :D

ok people lighte one up...
