Hey everyone,
this is an appreciation thread. I just want to thank Shantibaba personally.

Thanks Shanti man, finding your genetics has meant everything to me.
Everything I cross with your genetics shines like a crazy diamond.
Especially the Neville's haze.

(People if you are looking to make your own crosses, look no further than the champagne that is Neville's Haze.)

Tomorrow I hope to put up a few picks of Neville's in a greenhouse. (Not a cross Straight Neville's)

Early picked sativas are very fine day time meds, it should go without saying.

I really feel connected to you on that.

So far, I haven’t had the chance to grow Neville’s Haze, mainly because the long flowering time puts me off a bit, and I’m also limited in height in my tent. I’m not very experienced with LST either. But every strain from Shanti that I’ve been able to run has been absolutely over the top — so yeah, I feel you.

Thanks for starting this thread, and much love to you — and definitely to Shanti as well. He’s done a truly unique job. I’d be more than happy to keep growing these exceptional genetics, even within my limited setup.

It’s really impressive what Shanti has created for the community over the years — even in the CBD space.

I’m really glad I found this forum and all of you here.

Can you please share some experience? What have you grown from MSN, what you’ve crossed , and what you like.

I would love to grow something like that in the greenhouse but unfortunately no greenhouse and the season is to short only with shaded greenhouse it should be possible to pull that off

Hey rolo, The Hazes are why I am here and the regular males.
I have made heaps of crosses but they are preservationist in nature at the moment.
So I can't really tell you much about them at this stage.
Still growing out the seeds straight from the man.
Looking for candidates to breed with and select as mothers.
If I could only choose one strain to work with it would be one of the Hazes.
Originally I came just for the males because feminised seeds had swamped the market.
Getting away from that for a second recently I have found that feminized seeds that self themselves are quite good to work with and throw out alot of variation to choose from if you don't mind the odd hermie popping up. Which suprises me to hear myself saying that as I would have certainly not said that 10 years ago.

You sure hit the nail … seems I ‘m on the same trail, 10 years back . At the moment I’m rubbing male stems .. I have 8 of them and clutching my teeth about which one
to kill and which to extend into another life. And on top of that , the thought of selfed females is circling like a predator.
This year I run Skunk Haze (1male) , The Cure (3m) , NHS (3m) and La Nina (1m). And that is out of 24 seeds I popped … so I guess I got lucky . The one SkHz is a trifoliate, the biggest and strongest growing, NHS are lagging a bit and La Nina is short and sweet smelling . The Cure stands out in vigour, leaf color (dark) , smell and stickiness . NHS seem a bit anaemic , but I have crossed this strain in the past with Nl5Hz, SSH and Jack Herrer and the results are vegging in a separate project looking GOOD
The girls make it even tougher to decide…only a few of them are somewhat frailer . Other than that, they all wanna have a go at the boys …. sexy bitches indeed.
My initial goal is those Skunk Haze jumping the fence and screw the best of the bunch.( I’m a Haze guy myself .) The Cure are a first timer for me and seems to wanna steal the spotlight.
Like I said … clutching my teeth.

Shit and original skunk#1 are very different in my experience ..

Anyone who grew skunk#1 back in the day knows shit is a ghani dom decedent.
Still a very nice selection, the best available today imho, but not straight "Skunk#1"

Of course you could argue that the oldest surviving individuals become the new standard for the line..
But..... I would argue that skunk#1 is long gone.

Agree about shit.
I think it's more or less the same line than sensi sweet skunk than is probably also an afghan dom skunk#1 ibl.

I also have the intuition that the male skunk part used in Devil is older and a bit closer to old skunk#1.

May be crossing Shit with Devil may revive a few interresting older skunk#1 expressions...but all what was lost when increasing homozygotism to stabilise the lines is lost forever.

''Choosing is renouncing'' is particulary true when comes to breeding.

I've never knowingly grown Devil.
But the blurb states afghan x afghan/skunk... So a Super skunk male?
Seeing as it was the most prevalent afghan back then, I always read Northern lights when seed companies state "afghan" But who really knows.
I would speculate that Shit and Sensi's sk#1 are one and the same....... But

Far to much is made of cultivar history imo.
Comparison is the thief of joy..
