Super Silver Haze x Haze AC testers

Today marks the end of the test grow!
I have to admit defeat. SSHxAC #2 and #6 are being harvested and cleaned in an H₂O₂ bath. They aren’t fully mature, of course, but I’m hoping that #2 and #6 will at least provide a smokable preview. In any case, four of the five female test plants are so interesting that I need to grow them properly as soon as possible. #2 and #1 really stand out because of their aroma. I’ll do my absolute best to pull off a proper, representative test grow next time—it’s the least I can do, given the privilege of being part of a seed test grow! So, until the next attempt!

So I have picked older, but wider lens today
at 50d flowering

Next time I will try to obtain some proper macro shots, as Iam trying to wait for the best time possible.

One thing I would love to ask.. This is good for smoking?
Because the smell tells me, it is more likely edible
I believe „I can close the shop“ and grow only these moving forward -> 100% !
All the plants are so unique in this small run.
I believe I have 3-4 keepers already

Today I gave them, what I believe last nutrients, as the plants looks like 2 weeks before harvest.
But I will see about that for sure.


SuperSilverHaze x AC #1
- smells like sweet dought, just a bit acid compared to other plants, with just hints of fruit
- it has nice long spears apperance with pretty good trichome coverage

- smells like sweet dought with bit of fruits
- more smaller sized buds with pretty good trichome coverage




SuperSilverHaze x AC #5
- pay close attention here ! this plant smells like melted chocolate (overall smell is cookie with resin smelling just like cocoa)
- awesome big buds that reminds me of WACO
Can you imagine how glad I am, that I poped just two more seeds ?

- and finally.. this plant smells of tropicals, hints of fruity jellies, just like when you open haribo - also amazing
- most sativa pheno and just getting bigger and bigger in bud sizes

SSHxAC#18 harvest @72 days:



This is a nice yielding plant with medium strengt odour.
She has a rather dry afghan type of smell with some muskiness.

SSHxAC#11 harvest @72 days:



SSHxAC#11 had a little bit of mould under the top.
Her smell is strong and the trichomes are very abundant.
I hope the buds taste like they smell: pink bubblegum, exotic and very sweet.
The buds are dense and big, she could become a keeper.

This plant is a good yielder and smells like spices, musk and sour.
The smell is not strong but certainly present.

Here is SSHxAC#9 harvested @72days.



#9 had the biggest top and looked to be the biggest yielder.
Unfortunately the big top was infected with some mould and had to be cut.
It was no surprise, RH was very high the last weeks and the temps dropped a lot.
She has a medium strenght smell, musky and sweet (I recognize some apple).

6 are harvested, that leaves me with 5 more ladies.
They are still going atm.

Ok, Everyone. I have finally dropped the surviving SSHf2HzAC! It's about time too, my are getting low . I had 13 seeds which survived the trip, several crushed, and one that is cracked open and likely not viable. I put the 13 good looking seeds plus the 1 damaged seed into tap water with a few drops of Hydrogen Peroxide. They will get planted tomorrow. The seeds did not have strong striping and were mostly one color with some minor mottling. That they all sprout and I hopefully get a fairly even spread of Guys and Gals. I posed them with their older half sibling Z7HzAC! I felt it fitting Now, to the seed porn!

I did not have room to run her when they offered it and I do regret it.

Thanks for the kind words, Swifty . I've been itching to feel dirt bebeath my fingernails again, and the thrill and anticipation popping some . I'm even making my first Super Living Soil for my Super Silver Haze test cross! I've gotta at least try and do them some justice!

The seeds have been lovingly tucked into their new homes of Happy frog mixed with extra pertlite, fresh castings, and some Dyno Myco. Watered it in with some Gnatrol and kelp. It was a heroing proccess. One of the seeds flung itself out from between the tweezers like it was shot from a slingshot. After much searching on the floor, I found it! 7/14 had split with a visible radicle! The damaged seed hasn't opened, but the visible embryo was white instead of dark, like before the soak. So, I'm hopeful that it pulls through. This is only the beginning!

I have to say the cocoa smell is gone :/
But all plants are still sweet, with hint of fruits emerging everywhere..
They got very broad flavours !!

I believe there is rippening happening.
Even #6 most sativa plant is catching colours.
Some plants look to be ready for harvest very shortly.
They dont drink water so much, so I have lowered Sanlight Wattage to around 130W
And I keep watch over #5 as her main bud is very big - so far it is OK.

Iam quite interested to know if these beat WACO in flavour profile..
Iam gonna have to regrow some WACO shortly

Day 78 of flowering today (12/12).

The final weeks will be challenging.
I found some mould in the bigger sativa dominant buds. It spreads slowly.
I redirected a fan to blow directly onto the buds (I try to avoid that to preserve as much terps as possible).
Luckily the buds progressed a lot past week despite being a cold and very humid week, next week will be dryer and a bit warmer.
Only small amounts of water from now.
Leds stay at 75% (reduced to 2 now), they produce just enough heat but I do see unwanted reflowering... Warmth is more important now.

SSHxAC is a strain with a lot of potential, the smells, the looks and so diverse. These genetics are special and precious imo.
It is a shame you can smell these, .

The sativa dominants are packing like crazy.



The trichomes are very abundant and smell very intense.

Part 2:

The other 2 phenos are yielding far less but they have a very nice coating of trichomes and big calyxes.
The leaves have nice autumn hues.



This one is pherpaps the most impressive looking girl (SSHxAC#8).
It's a shame she is reflowering at the top.



Where did I see this budset and calyxes before.



I will harvest my SSH and the 2 plants in this post later on this week.
They are starting to show some amber and smell is getting less present.

I've said it before, i'm gratefull to grow these genetics.
I always trust Shanti's seeds, he knows his game.

Wow, less than 48 hours later and there are already three plants that have broken ground . That's what I call Vigor! Capital V-i-double g-err.


The soil lifting as it barely starts to peek out.

This was it a few hours later while it was releasing its shell.

@Swifty I'm sorry to hear about the mold creeping into your sativa divas. Those ladies look absolutely amazing! It's like seeing a redheaded sister of your SSH cut!

Hi All,
I was reviewing the thread and must say the photos are a wonderful documentary of each individual grows! Well done.
There are small fluctuations between sisters that are expected, but it seems the seed line is still with some good options for selection. I hope some of you with keen selective traits are finding things that you are enjoying and like.
If these flowers are given 3 months cure, then smoked it would be fabulous to hear how its affects are? Will remain in the stalls watching this thread but thank you all for participating. All the best Sb

I can’t help but include SSHxAC#2#8 in my next grow immediately. I’d actually prefer #1, but it will likely take too long to finish. #1 is a creamy, sweet Haze, and I’m really looking forward to #2 as well—it has a truly sharp, pungent aroma. And that’s even while the plants are still immature! #2 and #6 are actually quite decent to smoke, even before they’re fully ripe. That’s why I’m excited to flower these two again—but this time, I’ll do it properly. I spent a week cleaning everything thoroughly; let’s see if the deep clean does the trick and keeps pests and other issues at bay.
