Hello and one love, Breddaz and Sistaz and friends of the fine art of consumption!

Flowering Day 35 of the Spice!
It’s been a pretty relaxed week. The plants are drinking well, taking in around 4 litres of water every three days. They’re still looking great and have put on some nice weight. The trichomes are also becoming more and more abundant.
Other than that, things have been fairly laid-back, as mentioned. There’s still a little way to go before we reach Honolulu Beach!
As you can see in the pictures, I’ll definitely need to stick a few bamboo stakes into Spice #1 to support her. I don’t want the top colas or the side branches to topple over. There are quite a few heavy branches, and the buds are getting heavier by the day. Spice #2 doesn’t need any support so far. She’s a little more robust when it comes to her stems.
Spice #1

Spice #2

Apart from that, both plants have an identical and super interesting aroma, just as I mentioned last time. The whole thing reminds me a little of Juicy Fruit.
I decided to measure the runoff from both plants. The results were a little different.
The pH was stable at 6.5 for both plants. The EC readings in the runoff, however, were different:
- Spice #1, which has considerably fewer leaves, showed an EC of around 2.5–2.8.
- Spice #2, with considerably more foliage, had an EC of around 2.0.
I also have an EC soil meter, so I dug that out and gave it a try. That surprised me once again. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what these readings are supposed to tell me. The values are quite different throughout the pots, sometimes by several points.
In the upper part of the soil, I’m getting EC readings of around 0.2–0.5. Further down, they move towards 0.7, and right at the bottom near the drainage holes, I’m measuring values between 1.5 and 2.0.
I don’t know whether this makes much of a difference, especially since I’m feeding exclusively organically. I’m not even sure how useful these readings are in that context. But I found it quite interesting and thought I’d share it with you.
Other than that, everything is stable:
More Key facts

- Daytime temperatures: around 25°C
- Night temperatures: between 19 and 20°C
- Daytime RH: 45% to a little over 50%
- Nighttime RH: occasionally reaching almost 60%, sometimes ranging between 60 and 69%.
Wishing you all a relaxed afternoon and a beautiful Sunday!
One love and Blessings,

Penny
