This was a simple thread started by a simple guy asking a simple question.

The question was never answered which I can take in two ways.

Can any one tell me whats the need for all the drama?

Bushweed, i think you are misunderstanding me. I never said they didnt "create" la nina or the other you mentioned. I was refering to the strains Nevil has aquired, haze, NL, ect.

I have re-explained my points, appologized for possibly offending anyone, and yet i get you calling me names. Who am I? a cannabis lover partaking in discussion with others.

I said it before but i will say it again i have great respect for nevil and shanti, they both have done amazing things and i appreciate their seeds and insight on this web site.

Bushweed if you are looking for someone to pick on,fight with, or whatever it is you are trying to do look elsewhere. Peace man, i can understand your passionate but do you really need to call me names and try to unvalidate my points? You cant unvalidate them because they are true.

My answer to blueboys original question is i dont think they will work with them. I think the new standard is in collaboration so as no one in theory is the bad guy. Will MNS collaborate with DJ? Only they could anounce that and that would probably entail some previous years of testing as i see them not wanting to speculate on possibilities.

Crabon, we all are very passionate about this plant! I know why you care so much and and i shall be a bit more considerate to the words i choose.

Colaborations make sense to me, giving credit where it is due and not overshadowing eachother.

I'm a pedigree buff. This becomes real important when line breeding or inbreeding. Doubling up on certain ancestors or parts of a pedigree can radically alter the outcome. It's a means of pushing probability in the direction you want. Unknowingly doubling up on certain ancestors may give you unexpected and sometimes undesirable results. I try to avoid this, breeding is hard enough as it is. I tend to avoid the work of people who obfuscate ancestries in order to make it seem like they were born clutching a handful of seeds that nobody else has, when in fact they mostly hybridised strains that I released. Call it "orgasmic cascade" for all I care, you bred it you get to call it what you want, but the moment someone lies about the pedigree, mostly for purposes of self aggrandisement, I can't take them seriously any more. Or their work.
The original Bubblegum was pretty good, I thought it was BB.SKxNL5.SK. Isn't the Blueberry descended from that? Who knows with fantasy pedigrees, but I'd take it to Critical Mass, which also contained the BB.SK, which is where the bubblegum flavours came from. If you create something great, good luck trying to work out what made it click.

I understand your stance. This pedigree problem seems to run a muck. We find ourselves here, tens of thousands of us by now.

I see you and shanti with your 1:1 matings and they work great! Without a dout.

I see DJ a with similar hybrid, possibly from the same imported bulk seed to west coast USA. Allthough going with maybe an open pollination over generations, compared to your 1:1.

There must have been multiple phenos going around, and multiple phenos saved.

Why in your opinion, is a union between these types so radical after so much time and going in two such different directions?

I would ponder that this may be a path to isolating and re-combineing desireable traits over long periods of time.

This is a time proven method of doing things. In breeding, compatible lines are called a "nick". In researching nicks, I've found that they usually trace back to common lines, often many generations back. I think that we should start a thread titled Breeding. This seems to be where we are going.

Perhaps your confused since one of the first available dutchified blueberry hybrids was a Blueberry X Bubblegum from Sagarmatha?

Check the genomics if you have any doubt... DNA doesn't have an agenda to push, and tells all.

I think indianna bubblegum is sativa dom blueberry female x to a male afghani. You maybe get something similar to bubblegum with bluberry x blueberry because of the afghani in the blueberry genetics. I have a stout short early blueberry( next gen seeds) that smells very similar to bubblegum. The sativa pheno looks and smells more like blueberry. I have g13 labs blueberry gum which is blueberry x bubblegum. Did bubblegum come out of blueberry with the help of an afghani male??

But it is derived from Flo.
Isn't Flo the one with the deformed leaves like the BBSK I gave to Soma. I may be wrong as I haven't smoked it, but I thought the Flo and BBSK were related.
