Hi BL,So it seems the current offering should be an F1 of NL#5 (new selection ie. full sister to the original NL5) x HazeC (same plant used for the original C5)
like I stated ealier , I 'm not 100% sure that this is actually the case , just what I believe to be the case..
Only Shanti can tell you for sure what the real case is.
The result could be different , how much I can't say but shouldn't be very different imo. Plus Shanti's breeding skills make me 'feel safe' , I trust his judgment so I believe that the outcome will be of top quality irregardless of the actual mother plant used. This means it could be very different no?
SSH is NL5HzC1 x SK1HzC and MH is NL5HzC122 x SKHzAfor example the only difference between SSh and Mango Haze is that the mothers were both full sister to each other but the same father was used...And they are different.
Both MH and SSH are great though so I would hope this to be the case with the new NL5xHzC.
Some clarification would be great, as I'm planning to breed with it and knowing what you are working with helps..
peace
BL
So the 2 strain mothers , NL5Hz1 and NL5Hz122 , are sisters but the father plants of SSH and MH are also different , SSH uses SK1HzC father and MH a SK1HzA. So its expected to see some difference between these 2 strains. as they don't actually share a parent.
Shanti had posted these 2 lines ,SSH and MH, share the same Haze parent not same (strain) parent. I believe he meant they share same haze parent on the mothers side. NL5Hz1 and NL5Hz122 use both HzC..
