Im guessing you had a large reservour, was you running a run to waste system? or was it recirculating(wilma type)
93plants a week thats impressive, how many watts was that under?

Small pots can be great for maintaining a library of cuttings and also for testing lots of genetics in a small space. This first pic is a Qleaner that was in a 1.5l pot that yielded 16g dried and cured.

Small pots definitely slow the vegging process once rootbound, but the plant will adapt and remain healthy and even continue to grow despite this. If you take good care of it in all other ways it will do just fine. I have even noticed that after several months in a tiny pot new growth becomes miniaturized, which is great for putting some mothers on the back burner for awhile. If you take cuttings off the miniature plant those cuttings will revert to normal growth.

The second pic is another Qleaner vegging in a .4l pot. Granted I was not trying to veg it as fast as possible, rather I was trying to keep it small while I tested its flowering mother.

On the other hand once you have found your best girls and you want to grow the bejeebus out of them fast, then the big pot makes all the difference. I have heard it is good to do the last pot up when switching to 12/12. Is that the consensus for the best time?

Seein rows of small plants like that, just columns of nugs, it's a beautiful thing. I'm not talking from personal experience, I did a little SOG test with 6 plants once but nothing impressive like some of the stuff you see online.

Nowadays a lot of states here in the US have plant limits for med patients, so huge pots with huge plants are the way to go. Trees just make sense.
