Outdoor growing season 2026 started

Hello Boys and Girls,

as usual it is a mix of excitement and undeciseviness. Many options to choose from.

This year I am planting some older leftover seeds from open straws. First candidate is Black Widow, I have 4 seeds left that went into soil after 24h soak and showing the root tip. These BW will be joined by 4 EQxBW. I have not tested this cross and I am curious about it.

Yes, BW is a great strain. Have not gown it for some years now. The cross with EQ shall show something interesting. I did geminate one seed just to see and got a nice lady. Unfortunately I could not finish her due to PM, first time I had it! Let's see this year...

Good morning to all,

3 out of 4 shot above the soil a couple of days ago. I checked the fourth one yesterday digging a little and nothing.
The EQxBW are already starting to break the soil.

Next pictures will be when they show sex, +/- 5 weeks.

starting seeds or direct seeding is always a nice feeling, any seeds, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, beans, etc...

uncommon weather though. My germination rate was mediocre. 75% BW and 50% EQxBW. I was thinking about it the other day and my guess is that it might be temperature issues, dropped again to 17 - 13 and too much humidity in my soil. Normally we should be sweating by now!

Well, I started a few more candidates to balance the losses.

Sad news for this season... I have to leave my current location. Unexpected things happening lately. I will see if I can leave some plants with an irrigation system, if the owner allows! Otherwise not looking good as guerrilla is not an option here, too hot. I do not know, I am confused now... I need a plan.
 
Hello everybody, hope you are having a nice summer. I have not been around for some time, trying to get back on track with life... At least I can say now things are slowly going in the right direction, new place to live but no possibilities to grow here and starting new work next Monday. So, basic needs covered.

Regarding my growing season, well, I managed to keep 3 plants in different locations. 1 SSH F2 spontaneous growing amongst the tomatoes was replanted in the ground in a not optimal place due to reduced sun light, 4-5 hour a day. Big yucas and mimosa blocking. She went into a hole filled with horse manure and native soil, 2 weeks before planting I poured a generous amount of Microorganisms from the bitches brew series, nothing else added and she looks happy. I am visiting her every 2-3 days to water. She is rather small and viny probably due to the reduced light.

The other 2 are at a friends house, have not visited them since I planted them on 15 June. The one on the left is BW and the one on the right is a AMSxOG fem from Shantibabaseeds. I am visiting them on Saturday to give them some nutrients and do a general check. Nothing more to report, happy to be back and interesting posts to go through as usual. Keep well, cheers

Yesterday I checked the SSH F2 and she is coping with the current high temps quite well, I did mulch her to minimize evaporation. She looks thirsty after a peak of 43C. I am watering every couple of days on my way back from work. Last week temps were above 36 everyday and next week looks similar. I will check on BW and AMSxOG tomorrow if I can.

Hello,

plants are looking good despite the heat. This year I went back to well composted horse manure mixed with peat moss. The new addition is the mircroorganism solution. Only water until today, they got some liquid guano...

SSH F2 is stretching but not much, gets water every two days.

39 degrees again... many days this summer and lasting over weeks sometimes.

The keep it simple approach is generally a good option, I have found myself trapped in the labyrinth of feeding products. As this season the plants are looking lush green without any further input I want to ask what organic products do you suggest for bloom. I just have liquid guano by Guanokalong, 2,5N+6K, if I remember well, and will be feeding once a week 1-2ml/l.

I have never gone 100% organic and would appreciate your knowledge.

I whould give organic fertilizer every watering as it takes time to reach the plant usually it takes 1 weeks until I see it's getting better greener leafs etc with anorganic fert it takes 2 days or so
