Onward Through the Haze

Aloha fellow firewalkers!
The pollination went smoothly. I dusted them in a fanless room and let them sit for ~18hrs. and then administered a foliar to stop any further hanky panky. Then got the fan back on. Darn, forgot to close the heat register last night so some air movement; spontaneous pollination occurred resulting in some minor collateral seeding as evidenced by withered stigma. It's all good as I swim in a sea of subtle citrus and spice aromas wafting in the air.
Here are pics of the Back Door Man f1's. Used as a control group. They are shorter, more compact. At 5 weeks they are already showing good frost. I am unable to load all the pics as the site is still quirky but the plants are doing well.

Here is the other BDM, the #4 that was crossed with the Mango IBL. She isn't as impressive as the BDM#1 but it is nice to have a comparator.

Keep thinking about these stories of origin from the legendary Diesel and Chem/Dog varieties which many show the variegation up to a point where it has become a trademark of legitimacy.
Nevil had guessed its ancestors came from his work or are possibly just phenos of his Haze hybrids.
In various podcasts ive tuned in over the period of time im investigating the whole myth of ancestry everytime it happens boil down to at least a part of the genetics for the whole lineage came from late 80s to early 90s stock that was brought overseas from holland.
We all know who supplied the majority of the seedbank stocks back then and so it just seems natural and reasonable that these variegations couldve lead to the connection between myth and reality. Just thinking out loud...

Aloha fellow firewalkers!

As you know the MoX, BDM, HHG that had earlier been pollinated with Holy Hanh pollen. This current crop has been selectively pollinated with MHI pollen. This is an effort to better the structure and increase bud sites. The HHG was tendril-like with singular calyx structure. The calyxes were fig shaped with pistils being long and bushy like a squirrel's tail. The tops were single shoots as if they got ahead of themselves. This trait was seen in the BDM#4's also. The last picture shows better structure for the Holy Hanh Mango.

Holy Hanh Mango#2 4 A little better structure. The calyxes look like buckwheat.

Are they regs or the IBL? Shanti’s mango seeds have been consistent throughout. This really is his flagship product IMO. Just ask @Apollo, I believe he’s been working it to f4’s and appears very impressed with this genetic. She can be real strong 😶‍🌫️ Taste and smell are unique. Her structure is sativa all the way. Hope your seeds were stored well. Give us a treat with some pics when u get around to it. Good luck brah.
