NH vs C5 hydro grow report

btw: put the HTCC 2005 also on your belt for the aka Willie Nelson from Barney's was actually your C5!!!
Hi DD
There are lots of things going around that are my strains renamed. I don't mind that so much, after all even if you got 2 of my lines and crossed them, you did select both parents and you are responsible for that mating and you can call it what you want. No, what annoys me is the deliberate obfuscation of the ancestry, in order to make it seem as if that parents were not from my stock. The reason that it annoys me is that, from time to time, someone breeds something really useful and if I know how it is put together, I can use it to good effect. Duplicating ancestors will put emphasis on those elements in the pedigree (line breeding). If I don't know what I'm line breeding to, it makes it harder to predict the results of a mating and even if I do get great results using the renamed strain, I don't really know why. So I end up groping around in the dark, because someone's ego got in the way of me knowing what I'm doing. I hate that!
This is why I would like to see a pedigree database for cannabis. Only varieties of known provenance should be eligible. Wankers who insist on claiming that their strains are the result of divine intervention or immaculate conception or whatever, will then fade into obscurity and will not end up getting credit for what was otherwise a real achievement, because their ego got in the way.

That Neville's Haze you have there minds me of some old strains from many years ago Mid 70's.... Cambodian/Thai. comes to mind.

Hi Bushpig,

Thnx man,

i'm just little too young to toke at Mid 70's, but i can remember here at Mid/late 80's the Thai sticks with seeds in it (amazing!!!)

i'm just a noob about what kind of pheno this NH is.
actually this is the first NH we have.
She's a late hermie ( or how you name it?)
She gives some bananas at late flowering and found one mature seed ????

Regards,

dd

Hi bigherb,

bro, glad to hear your lady's flowering well!
you made me curious about the hillbillyhaze, can you tell me little more about it? any pics?

i don't know exactly what you're asking?
sorry for me poor English (and the google translator doesn't give a descent translation )
i guess you're asking about the temperature, ok?
well, when starting this run it was high summer and really hot (30° and more)
so for first 6 weeks had temps in me room from 30°+ day and 25+° night.
after 6 weeks till the end it was always about 25+°day and 22° night.
no low temps at all.
imo the purple in the buds is genetic based as we run this NH pheno at different locations and the purple always appeared.
hope this is the answer at your question.

Take Care & Stay Safe,
Peace

hear is some info on the hillbilly haze from reservationlabs

I just ran it and bred it, and man it had been I believe 110 days

It is a great head numbing high. My ears got really warm. Colors are very vivid. It tastes like coffee, with an incense type of exhale. Everyone said great Sativa. No one is really old enough to remember a real HAZE (the oldest smoker was 36) so no one said this is HAZE or this is a great HAZE, but every loved the Sativa high. I looked at one of the guys eyes and it looked like he was on some kind of speed, his eyes were wide open and huge. Seriously looked like he was on some speed or something. Kinda freaked me out (everyone of them are "just" pot heads).

am not sure the original origin of the beans that were passed my way. Most likely never will. They were just titled HAZE.

One thing is that the plants that I have grown from my seed batch aren't nearly as light green as the plants that I have seen pictured here. The plants are more of a robust dark green (my Thai is light green). There is no fruity taste to the smoke. It tastes like coffee and the smell of a burning incense. The smoke that fills the air afterwards smells like stale tobacco a little bit and incense.

These plants that are produced from these beans are nothing in Color like my Thai, they smell nothing like my Mexican (although the color is close to the Mexican) and the leaf itself is more broad then the Tom Hill Haze although the bud structure is close

Straight up smell of a pack of "Incense Cones". In a time where Cannabis smells like Fruity Pebbles Cereal, Grape Jelly, Bubble Gum, Lemons and Ect. This is a unique smell that I am enjoying so very much

It was told to me on Halloween by a friend of the brothers that lived within the families cabin for a few years that the original seed from this HAZE comes from a Pound of Haze that the family got in Santa Rosa California in 1989 and found seed in. They have been breeding it and keeping it pure since that time

you know how i feel more incense less nonsense ,if it anint church it anint fire .soo i was intrigued by this strain since ive first heard of her ,incense from a haze in the hills of cali ,it dont get no better

the growth vigor and smell since 3weeks has all been very impressive

i guess you're asking about the temperature, ok?

imo the purple in the buds is genetic based as we run this NH pheno at different locations and the purple always appeared.
hope this is the answer at your question

exactly this was what ive wanted to hear

redeye24/7

has a NH grow thread his #5 pheno was also purple i recall seeing purple in i believe pluto's afghan haze grow ,also 1 or 2 more purple haze pics of nev's

it seeems the purple comes from the haze genetics as i dont recall seeing purple NL #5/afghan but id love to hear nevilles and shanti's thoughts and experiences on the purple trait in mns haze

I guess you could thank the famously resinous NL5 for enhancing the Haze's resin content in the NH?

Hi bagseed,

Thnx mate,

sure i do!

bagseed said:
Do you think you could find a plant like that in every 20 pack of seeds or would it be more like 1 in 100 or more?

:D this you ain't going to believe, but it' really true.
picked 4 beans randomly (with me eyes closed) out of 1 pack of NH seeds and got 3 males and 1 female.
so from me experience i would say 1 out of 4 :o
i really don't know mate.
i would say: just try a pack and you'll see ...

Good Luck,

dd

Thanks for the reply dd,

1 in 4 for that beatiful specimen you have, cool! I do have a pack of these on the way from Shanti and while it may be a few years before i pop them (i am saving nearly all my seeds till i buy a house, but they are stored correctly. And of course the 14-16wk flower time makes me a little hesitant, lol), i truly cannot wait!

DD....Thanks for sharing your grow.Absolutely gorgeous and definitely mouth watering.
The seeded Thai was big in NE in the early eighties.I smoked a bunch of it.QP's could be had for 600.00.I wish I had kept the beans..peace
