Certainly on a higher tier than mushrooms and cactus, Banisteriopsis caapi derives its strength from the catalyst used. Yet it is still not as powerful. Batrachotoxin is a deadly neurotoxin. I understand these frogs can live 15 years. The more aposematic ones are the deadliest. This guy has enough toxin to kill 20 people in 2 minutes!

*edit- in my readings batrachotoxin is 15x more powerful than curare and 10x more powerful than a puffer fish (tetrodotoxin)

What do we have here, Deach69?

The bird on the right looks like a Black-Capped Chickadee. The middle bird looks like it has a tuft, looking a bit like a Tufted Titmouse but they don't have orange bellies. They do have a splash of orange under their wings so maybe it is the angle? The bird on the left....looks angry!

From left to right there's a Starling, a Cardinal and finally a sparrow through a dirty window. If you noticed the white squiggle across the bottom of the photo, that's from a bar of soap. I drew squiggly lines across my windows to show the stupid buggers that it's there. Looks awful but works like a charm, no dead birds 🐦

Nah, it is good to be occasionally humbled and to learn. The Starlings in my area are longer and leaner, I am guessing that is a European Starling(here we go again ;)) , that does look like a female Cardinal and they do have 'tufts' like the Tufted Titmouse. America's pretty weird about sex so when you say 'Titmouse', everyone giggles. We usually have fat brown house sparrows, not white sparrows, so that threw me off. After that beating, I will double my bets and say this is a Tufted Titmouse ;) Some feet fer ya, @TGTDE

Here in the old world starlings look like this ;)

Yes, that is what the 'New Kidz on the Block' world calls a European Starling. Now, I think the one Deach showed is called a Common Starling. However, as I did not make any of this up, it is hard to tell if any of it is true.
Again, Science meets Philosophy. ;)

It is not hard for Jack Cotton to get new parts if he breaks a few!

Early Queen #2 - shortly before being chopped 10/18/22. Jury-rigging a 'finishing room' in the garage allowed me an extra 3 weeks to finish my outdoor plants. After I got out of hospital I noticed this plant had topped itself while I was in hospital. Double my pleasure, double my fun!. Looking forward to growing more Early Queen in 2023. :)

Thanks ,Deach69! Yes, pretty flowers keep the 'auto girls' smiling! :) My friend says it is the same for 'regular girls'. I am not so sure for 'fem girls' or 'hermie girls'. I would have to ask another friends brother. Sometimes it is best to not know things!

1963 Split Window Corvette

As always, picture taken at annual Adirondack Nationals Car Show in Lake George, NY. Not sure which one as this year's will be the 34th annual.

In 1963, Chevrolet's Corvette Division came out with a split rear window option. It was the only year ever offered and back then it was not nearly as desirable as it is today. Of the @1.8 million Corvettes ever made, only 278 people took the gamble and ordered the split window option in 1963. Many owners did not like the split window and removed it and replaced it with a single piece of plexiglass. In fact some dealers even set up an option where you could have the split window removed and replaced with a single rear window :( It is unknown how many split window corvettes have survived but you can be sure that they are pretty rare.

All 1963 cars had 327cid engines, which made 250 hp standard, with optional variants that made 300 hp, 340 hp and 360 hp. The most powerful engine was the Rochester fuel injected engine.

Not sure why, but it appears that my dumb-ass(means stupid) only took one picture of the car. But, she's still a beauty!
