Yes. In New Zealand we can make whatever we want, alcohol wise, but if you get caught selling it you aren’t really treated as a criminal it’s more a tax issue. It’s quite accepted here. Wish cannabis was like that!
Not often I usually use the burner it’s sitting on, very easy (lazy) But occasionally I use that cherry firewood when I wanna get my ‘subtitles’ on. Haha.A real moonshiner!! You'll be even more my hero if you're using that dried wood to heat up the still

And will you work for a bed, daily meals, small stipend and some anise smells in the morning? And knowing that distilling on an open fire is quite a challenge when temps cross 40°C..
I try to work nights during the Summer as it cools down to 18-20°C in our area
